I Am Writing To Ask You To Consider Sharing A Petition. I Don't Know How Far The Story Has Spread, But
I am writing to ask you to consider sharing a petition. I don't know how far the story has spread, but a non-binary high schooler in Oklahoma (where i live) named Nex Benedict was killed as a result of an attack at Owasso High School two weeks ago. They were attacked on school property.
The state of Oklahoma School Superintendent, Ryan Walters, who has spent his tenure focused on book bans, villainizing teachers, fighting "the woke agenda," and whatever will get him on Fox news. As a part of this he has formed partnerships with the Moms for Liberty and Libs of Tiktok person, Chaya Raichik.
All of these actions include a near constant barrage of attacks on the lgbtqia community. As an lgbtqia person myself, with kids who are also part of the community, including non-binary children, i am incredibly saddened by Nex's death, and worried about the safety of my own children in this state.
It's just a petition and i know the impact feels limited. It feels small to me, but i would like to ask you to share it in the hopes that it might bring some news coverage and open talks in this state about removing this public official for the good of the community.
I appreciate your time and attention. (Obligatory big fan, because I am.)
The petition can be found here: https://chng.it/CvHz2J8QW4
Thanks.
Happy to share it.

Parents literally tell their children "quit crying or I'll give you something to cry about".
Their response to seeing someone who's hurting is "hide it or I'll hurt you more".
And these are normal parents. They're able to function in society easily. They're able to openly brag about doing this with no fear of any consequences.
And that's why "narcissistic abuse" is bullshit. Abuse is normalized by society. It's not caused by mental illness.
i love fur, i love leather, i love wool, i love long lasting materials without plastic in them that will decompose and go back into the ecosystem after serving me well for several decades.
What is it about workplace abuse that makes people blind to it? Like why am I being abused in my workplace and in trying to explain it to a coworker she’s defending my supervisor and asking if I’ve considered how it feels from my supervisors perspective??? Help a bitch out because I’m going insane
I often second guess myself on whether I even have npd because, you see, I am simply too mentally healthy™ to have such a disorder. I am just too well adjusted™ and not mentally ill™ and weak™ like those LOSERS, I am superior™ in every sense and I couldn't afford to have a weakness
But then this leads me into thinking that all the things I do are because I'm just an evil asshole or something and that I can't hide behind a disorder, that I'm genuinely just an evil person who's just shitty and hurts others for absolutely no reason and it all eventually leads back into me wanting to kms because I can't stand the idea of being a bad person and people not liking me because then it means that I failed as a human being and that I'm not as great™ as I thought I was
craziest phenomenon on the internet lately is people who will be like “cringe culture is DEAD be WEIRD be FREE have FUN cringe is DEAD do WHATEVER YOU WANT FOREVER!” and then immediately crucify anyone who is queer in a way they don’t like. or wants to kiss a fictional character. or thinks the computer is hot. like ohhh i get it you’re only okay with weird people you personally can tolerate. you are a tar pit
