i genuinely love how every year i start planning my halloween costume/outfit two months before halloween arrives and still every year i end up wearing the exact same “big coat comfy sweater tall boots messed up mascara”

like “oh this year i’m gonna be bowie!!! i’ll dye my hair red!!!” or “i’m going to wear a dress and spill fake blood all over me and i’m going to look gorgeous!!!!!” no you’re not honey, take the exact same earrings that you always wear and stop daydreaming about originality. you want to look like a rockstar? stop putting off your guitar lessons and maybe next year you’ll be allowed to wear a cool leather jacket
