As the rain knocked at the windows and danced across the roof, you laid awake eyes closed, but your mind fully awake as the bright flashes kept it from its most needed slumber.

The loud bangs and booms giving you anxiety, you so wish you could just sleep through it all, but sadly you knew that wasn’t happening, not on your own at least. Your boyfriend laid next to you peaceful asleep and you didn’t want to ruin that, but your hands were starting to shake and your heart felt heavy, you needed him right now, you’re sure he’d understand.

You turn over slightly to face him,

Gently shaking his shoulder to wake him up, “mhm..baby? What is it?” He asked sheepishly in his half awake state, just then a bright flash followed by a big boom rung through your room. Your grip on jaehyun tightened as you frantically stumble out “c-can we cuddle please, I can’t sleep..” your question sounding more like a demand then you had originally intended, but jaehyun just smiled as he pulled you into his arms.

“Of course baby, you don’t even have to ask you know that” he expressed genuinely, he had forgotten your fear of storms and now he felt bad for not noticing how you were tossing and turning the entire night, he brought his face to yours, softly placing a kiss on your forehead before whispering, “shh it’s okay, I’m here now there’s nothing to worry about” just being in his embrace was enough to calm your beating heart, with your head on his chest listening to the subtle rhythm of his’s, your eyelids start to feel heavy as jaehyun stroked the back of your head, humming softly in your ear.

you're fighting for your life arguing with haechan over something stupid. you don't even remember what started the argument because its shifted topics three times at least.

"i just feel like washing the dishes is something you should do without me having to tell you! i'm not asking for much, hyuck." you yell for what seems like the 50th time. all he does is nod nonchalantly and lean against the counter.

"you know..." he starts, "you look awfully cute right now..." he says with a small laugh.

you stop. did he just call you cute? "what..?"

"you heard me baby." he takes a step closer to you. then another. then another until he's close enough to where you can feel his breath on your face as he speaks. "you look cute."

he grabs your chin but you wriggle your way out of his grasp and push him away. "whatever..." you attempt to walk away but all he does is grab you by your shirt and pull you back.

"and who said you could walk away?" he asks teasingly. before you can protest anymore he pulls you in for a kiss. suddenly, you've forgotten why you were ever mad at him.
