“ i  don’t  mean  you  no  harm, ”  he  continued,  once  tired  ( and  now  wide  with  anxiety )  eyes  glanced  down  at  the  blood  on  the  man’s  leg.  “ i’m  a  doctor;  i  was  gonna  offer  to  patch  you  up. ”  perhaps  he  was  too  naive  for  his  own  good,  but  miguel  just  wanted  to  help  people—even  if  that  resulted  in  being  held  at  gunpoint,  apparently.
