          ruby  was  a  caring  person  by  nature.  she’d  hardly  gotten  the  love  and  care  from  her  own  parents,  but  being  a  caretaker  just  came  naturally  to  her.  she’d  taken  well  to  learning  all  things  medicinal  from  ms.  martin  and  it  had  just  stuck  with  her.  taking  care  of  people  and  plants  had  been  therapeutic  for  her  in  a  way,  and  while  she  knew  that  her  concerned  doting  could  get  on  her  peers’  nerves,  it  was  hard  for  her  to  hold  back  at  times.

          “ y’know,  sug, ”  she  told  arvo,  glancing  him  over  with  a  polite,  albeit  wary  smile,  “ you  can  just  help  me  in  the  greenhouse  today  if  ya  want.  might  be  best  ya  don’t  overexert  yourself  with  that  leg,  anyway. ”  not  that  she  would  force  him  to  help  her  if  he  didn’t  want  to,  but  she  still  wanted  to  put  the  offer  out  there.

i have most of my starters written for the day, but i'm very tired and cold and wanna go lay in bed and not move for the rest of the night lol

          they’re  newly  weds,  honeymoon  officially  over,  and  vacation  from  work  set  to  finally  be  ending  soon.  they  have  forty-eight  hours  until  their  respectful  shifts,  and  tk  never  thought  he  could  be  happier  to  be  back  in  their  apartment.  mostly  because,  as  much  as  he  loved  to  get  out  and  see  the  world,  he’d  started  feeling  a  little  homesick.  he’d  already  reconnected  with  his  dad,  owen  having  brought  lou  two  home,  but  tk’s  social  meter  was  fried.  he’d  had  enough  social  interaction  to  last  a  life  time  and  the  only  thing  he  wanted  to  do  now  was  spend  the  day  in  bed.  his  bed  that  he  missed  so  much—the  hotel  bed  was  nice,  but  tk  had  missed  the  familiarity  of  his  own.

          well.  that  had  been  the  plan  at  least…until  carlos  had  come  in,  trying  to  get  him  out  of  it.

          that  simply  wouldn’t  do.

          “ babyyy, ”  tk  whined,  voice  partially  muffled  from  his  pillow.  “ can  you  please  just  let  me  sleep  the  day  away ? ”  he  couldn’t  even  blame  the  exhaustion  on  jet-lag  since  they’d  never  even  technically  changed  timezones,  but  after  being  on  the  go  for  a  week,  tk  wanted  to  spend  his  last  bit  of  free  time  doing  absolutely  nothing.

the struggles of having to be low activity bc of life but also wanting to have meaningful interactions with people on here without them thinking i don’t value them bc of said low activity is real…
