Hello, I am Bilal.

My life, like the lives of many, has been divided between two places. My family is now divided between Gaza and Egypt, and each part of it carries within it stories of pain and resilience. Gaza, where part of my family remains, witnesses daily the bitterness of life under siege and constant fear. However, it is their home that they cannot easily leave.

As for me, I was displaced with some of my family members from Gaza to Egypt. The decision was difficult and costly; we paid a heavy price not only financially, but emotionally as well. The cost of displacement was heavy on all of us. Our arrival in Egypt was not the end of the suffering, but rather the beginning of a new phase of difficulties.

Life in Egypt is not what we expected. It is difficult and very expensive. Everything here requires money; from the simplest daily needs to costs that cannot be easily afforded. Because we do not have residency, it has become necessary to deal with complex and difficult circumstances. Every day we face a new challenge, and every day we try to adapt to our new reality.

Despite all these challenges, we try to find our way in this exile. Life in Egypt is not what we hoped for, but it is our current reality. We are trying to adapt to this new life, yet our hearts remain attached to Gaza, where we left part of our family and dreams.

We are here, trying to maintain what remains of our dignity amidst these circumstances, and we know that the road is long and difficult. But we continue, with the hope that one day we will find the stability we are looking for, whether here or in our homeland that still lives in our hearts.

“Died and came back wrong” trope but no one notices because they came back alone. They can’t find those they were close to before, so they have to assimilate back to the land of the living among strangers. Everyone else just thinks they must’ve always been like this. The anguish of knowing they were something else before, something better, but have no evidence or anyone else to confirm this. No one to help them get back to who they were.

currently fueled by a strong sense of distrust and hatred for not just untrustworthy people like crane (in its opinion), but for humanity itself, blamore had no qualms with inciting a potential fight between itself and the other. too long had he spent time trying to help the people in gotham only to come to believe that they not only didn't deserve his or his father's before him efforts; but also that a majority of humans would be better off dead, as a matter of fact. so blamore looked at crane with nothing but contempt in its eyes as the other said something it couldn't quite catch. ❝ hmm? épouvantail, just for the future, i really wouldn't speak so low near my left side. i'm partially deaf in that ear. ❞

soon after, he let out an annoyed huff and gritted his teeth. blamore's eyebrows furrowed as he noticed crane was now holding up his hands. it logged what weapons it could see on the other's person in its mind, before letting out a humorless snort. ❝ wow. if you think this is me being uncharitable, then perhaps i should show you the man in my garden. i killed him, put him in the dirt, and he became fertilizer. that is one thing i like about nature — it is never wasteful. ❞ this man had a lot of gall to say anything to him, blamore thought, when he was sure he sometimes made people so afraid with his toxin that it killed them. its head perked up slightly at the faint sound of a bell ringing that was headed their way.

then, rather unexpectantly, the creature had pulled his bone away from crane's chest in favor of greeting the source of the sound: a lean orange cat. it pocketed the weapon before scooping the cat up, and before blamore had anything to say about it, she hissed at jonathan. a belly laugh from him filled the room then, ❝ ahh, marmalade, you have always been such a good judge of character. he is a bad man — isn't he? ❞ marmalade reached up to lick blamore's face as if to say 'yes, but i like you.' and with that, it begrudgingly told jonathan, ❝ i suppose i could let you live... for now. what did you want to know so badly that you just couldn't stay away? ❞

at the time, giving this man a warning for daring to step near its property with his horrid fear-inducing toxin seemed like a good idea to blamore — but now blamore was beginning to question whether killing jonathan on sight would've been the better choice now. the look in the good doctor's eyes told the creature everything he needed to know about his character, in his mind: that jonathan would likely pull it apart and study it if given the chance.

and blamore had about enough of being viewed as an experiment for a lifetime. its eyes narrowed as they settled on jonathan's form, the stance he took clearly being done deliberately as it showed off every sharp angle and crevice of its spine. the end of the row of vertebrae was also curled in mid-air like a tail, showing blamore could move it towards jonathan if he so chose to. an incredulous laugh suddenly escaped its lips at the other's forwardness, ❝ well, any time someone transitions to becoming a higher being, it's a given that it's not going to be comfortable. not that that's any of your business... salaud curieux (nosy bastard).❞

that last part is said in a slightly lower tone, but still loud enough for jonathan to hear, blamore seemingly believing that was true. that he was better than someone like jonathan. the creature let out an amused hum at his next statement, as if he found it rich he should be saying that. blamore decided at that moment to summon a sharpened bone out of its hand to serve as a weapon. it then approached jonathan, now just a few inches away, and pressed the tip of the blade to the other's chest.

❝ funny. i am focusing on myself, épouvantail (scarecrow). you were lingering around my greenhouse like a little pest — no doubt planning to cause trouble. so, i highly suggest you leave before i run out of patience. ❞

okay, but blamore showing up to the function wearing a wide-brimmed hat that partially covers his face and a shirtless blazer that allows it to show off its ribs, as well as velvety pants... i can guarantee y'all that this has happened before and it was very fashion model esque of him xxx (LOL i'm just joking but really 👀 there is no such thing as OVERDRESSED in blamore's book)
