oh — HEY, lis!! thank youuu for this ask ((: i hope your weekend has been good so far, but as per the course, i shall be posting the song below and then explaining it in the tags. i hope you find that this song is an absolute BANGER like i did lolll:

okay, but just imagine your muse trusting blamore enough to let it stay at their house while they go out to have a day out with a friend or something, only to discover that... upon arriving back at their house, that all of their food is just. GONE. like, it was never there in the first place, and the fridge has been completely raided. and when they walk in the door, blamore is just eating the last of the evidence.

SO when they naturally question him as to what the hell happened... it just goes 'wellll, i didn't want to leave your house to get food because you trusted me to look over it... but i also got hungry so' JSJSJ and they just give him a look that's both concerned + a little mad because how the hell did this creature devour their whole fridge within one day 💀 LMAOOO like, i suppose this is a cautionary tale of a sort to not leave blamore alone with your fridge, because... it will eat all of your muses food

AHH, i have yet to talk about this more in depth because i was still developing the details around it for a bit. but whenever it comes to blamore... him suffering from nerve pain due to the circumstances surrounding his transformation (as well as being shot at by the really not happy relative of a criminal whom his father sentenced) is not the only way it's body has changed since before — for, blamore is partially deaf or has unilateral hearing loss in his left ear. it had lost some of it because of the gunshot that was directed at him at 18, but most of the damage had come from a pretty bad ear infection blamore had at around 24.

so, he does tend to favor his right ear and faces people with it more often than not, but sometimes if someone is speaking rather quietly or even in a normal voice regardless of that; blamore will still have difficulty understanding what was said. thus, it's learned how to lip-read and tends to depend on all of his senses to be alert in emergency situations. so, things like what blamore's seeing, touching, smelling, etc. can help him in these situations because unilateral hearing loss is sort of known for not only making it hard to hear at certain frequencies; but it also makes it hard to localize, or figure out where a sound is coming from sometimes.

unlike how it's done in the royal navy, your captaincy was obtained via fair vote held by the crew. you're very good at making decisions under pressure and as the captain, you've been given absolute power in the heat of the battle or when giving a chase, other times the majority vote could easily overrule your wishes (though you do have a tendency to bend the rules quite a bit). you have some serious trust issues and prefer to keep your real goals secret. is that because of your mysterious past, which that deep-rooted hatred for the english was born from? seriously, fuck civilization, you'd rather die the most undignified death imaginable than idk follow the law or something.

oh — okay, so we're getting down to the nitty-gritty already, i see / j LOL nah, i'm kidding, but thank for the ask! now, if there's one thing that you should know about blamore, it is that: yeah, being a monster itself, he absolutely does have a sexual attraction to other monsters and/or is a monster-fucker.

but i feel like even before its transformation... blamore would've been down for getting into a romantic / sexual relationship with a monster, NGL, because he's always been drawn to people who were different. so i could imagine that extending to beings as well. but yeah, i hope that this has answered your question!!

OH hey! thank you so much for the ask, venus!! so for this one... i unfortunately have another sad song but (,: i swear to god, if you've never heard this song before, it may just change your lifeee. okay — maybe it wouldn't do something that extreme, BUT it is still such a good song, IMO (an explanation will be in tags):

my daily contribution to this account for today is unfortunately a sad one. and this is because it has to do with arkham which, as you all may already know, is usually quite swarming with corruption — one example of this being the fact that blamore has quite literally gotten seriously ill there multiple times. because i mean... he isn't just a normal human being anymore who needs the sun for vitamin D.

blamore needs sunlight or some form of light that is remiscent of it because there are plants literally CONNECTED to its heart, and so its integral that it gets enough light every day. but because he is usually put in isolation almost 24/7, blamore is stuck in his cell a majority of the time. and its quite literally made of the worst material to let light in because they've been so focused on keeping him 'under control' in the past rather than actually giving him what he needs to live. so, its gotten deathly ill there a few times 😬

but one of the few doctors there that actually seem to sort-of care about their patients (joan leland, in this case) had negotiated to have blamore get more time outside with the condition that she was the one watching it. buttt that was only like thirty minutes more, so it took them having to be forced by an outside source to change the lights in his cell to LED ones so he could actually get the benefits of sunlight from inside, though yeah. ALL my friends hate arkham for this as they should've just done that from the BEGINNING

OH, also, here's an important portrayal note that i thought i would post here just for reference: blamore has a southern french accent since it was born in the southeastern city of annecy, and he spent most of his childhood there + BOTH of it's parents are french. and something that i think is sort of interesting about it is that it is considered to be a 'singing accent,' or l’accent chantant. this is because those with a southern one are thought to be more 'musical' and 'soft' than it's northern counterpart. the southern french accent adds a soft, nasal “g” sound to words that end with “-ain.”

thus, words like pain have a different enunciation coming from it. and all the syllables are pronounced in a word, including letters that are usually mute like final -e, is something that is also done by those with a southern french accent. so it is quite obvious that he is not a native gothammite BUT man's doesn't care because he's perfectly happy with his french heritage and if someone brings it up... it'll probably just be like, ' oh, yeah. i was born in annecy so i have an accent. pretty cool, huh? ' and he'll just eyeball you for a bit because a couple of parisians had made fun of him for it in the past SO y'all better be nice... or elseee / j LMAO nah, i'm kidding, but fr please don't say anything negative about it okok

did y'all know that there are 31 pairs of nerves in the spine? because just in case you didn't, now you dooo LOL and i promise y'all that this is relevant because i swear, one way that you can tell that burgeon really trusts you is if it allows you to touch its spine / tail, because it is VERY sensitive. so, although it doesn't hurt for people to touch it, it makes that area feel very tingly. or... and i'll put this under a cut because it may be a bit ✨️ spicy ✨️

or, depending on how blamore views you (specifically if it's in a romantic / sexual light), then it may just turn him on. but even if he does 'like like' you, if you touch it for an prolonged amount of time, it may tell you to back off or protect it from being touched any longer. so you've got to strike the right balance with touching it and not doing so if you're physically intimate with burgeon.

burgeon employing 'natural insect hunters' which essentially means animals like bluebirds, as well as owls + frogs to control the amount of pests in his garden (which is honestly a HUGE place and has a spiral staircase + this is where you will find it most of the time) because he refuses to use pesticides is honestly... kind of iconic of him when you don't think about all of the atrocities it has committed JSJSJ i mean, because there have been studies done to show that they negatively affect other thing's besides insects themselves, such as the soil of the plants you are putting it on itself and non-target plants along with other creatures.

so you better bet that blamore has some thing's inside his garden that attracts these animals and he treats them kindly. and now that i've mentioned it, i suppose his appreciation for nature is one of the better qualities that blamore possesses — though i think it's bitterness towards humanity in general has still very much left him feeling lonely, and just having the occasional animal as company is not sustainable for it. which i think is part of why blamore has forged a bond with nico morselli because he is one of the few people who he can trust will not cringe at the sight of it / think less of it because he is vastly different from the person he used to be.

thinking about the fact that, in the comics, mister bloom grew up to the size of a damn SKYSCRAPER at the end of the new 52 and had branches literally coming out of his back. so i was just thinking about the fact that, although i haven't borrowed everything from the comics about him, that burgeon DOES have the power to physically manipulate his height / size.

and as a result, when he fully mutates, his character could possibly have the power to get that big is kind of crazy to me JSJSJ like... go eldritch horror monster, go? question mark?? (actually, please don't go in this situation 💀 LMAO)
