Color [f.w]

color [f.w]

word count: 1.6k

pairing: fred weasley x slytherin!reader

warnings: swearing maybe?

a/n: i’ve been swarmed with work lately, but i’m doing my best to get out requests frequently. should be back on a regular writing schedule soon :)

request: Hey hey can I get a Fred request? With a Slytherin reader? Um maybe just like a little cliche dorky soulmate au where a person can't see the color of the other person's eyes until they make eye contact? It would be lovely if you did :) (requested by @just-gotta-be-me)

-

you listened with a forced smile as your best friend droned on about how beautiful the color blue was, rolling your eyes subtly as you tried your best to look interested in the conversation. she droned on about how brilliant the different shades of blue were; the ocean, the sky, and her favorite, the blue of ravenclaw house.

over the summer, your friend had met their soulmate, who was (unsurprisingly) a ravenclaw in your year. she ranted on, excited about the entire encounter. you didn’t blame her, really. blue was a magnificent color, you couldn’t even imagine not being able to the color of the sky for the entirety of your life.

you luckily, didn’t have this problem. your soulmate didn’t have blue eyes. you hadn’t decided if it was a blessing or a curse, but it was known to all at a young age, that one was not able to see the color of your soulmate’s eyes until they met yours.

it never really quite made sense to you, but you never questioned it really; everyone else seemed to cope with it, so you tried to as well. besides, you’d discovered in your first year that you couldn’t see the color ‘brown’, and everyone had reassured you it wasn’t anything to miss out on.

you’d only sometimes wished you could actually see the color of the great hall walls, rather than a dull gray that somewhat ruined the warm welcoming feeling the room gave everyone else.

the train came to a stop, causing you to sigh. as happy as you were for your friend finding her soulmate, hearing her talk about it as much as she was had you jealous. you were going into your fifth year at hogwarts, and as you and your friends reunited on the way to the castle, it seemed as though everyone in your year had already found their soulmate.

you kept your mouth shut on the carriage ride up to the school, though everyone was too caught up in the chatter to really notice. you were fine with it that way; you really weren’t in the mood to try to explain yourself and deal with all the fake sympathetic looks.

you stepped into the great hall, sighing in relief as you took in the atmosphere. buzzing students, young and old alike, everyone simply happy to be back at the castle.

though many wouldn’t admit it, hogwarts was a second home to all of its’ students. you were somewhat in a daze when you heard your friend call you over to the slytherin table, and smiling you made your way over, sitting in the spot they’d saved for you.

“you know, y/n..” your friend whispered as the crowd settled down, preparing for the sorting. you gave them a questioning look, their tone nothing but mischievous. “you should keep an eye out. maybe your soulmate is right here in hogwarts, waiting for you.” at this you rolled your eyes.

“odds are, if they attended this school, don’t you think we’d have met by now?” you fired back. your friend went to reply, but was cut off by dumbledore commencing his speech.

your friend let the topic slide for the rest of the sorting and dinner, which you appreciated greatly. you were getting quite annoyed with the whole ordeal. surely, if you were meant to have found your soulmate, you would’ve already.

shaking your head slightly to yourself, you tuned into your friends’ conversation and pushed the thought of your soulmate to the back of your mind. you enjoyed the rest of your meal catching up to everyone’s summer experiences and sharing your own, excited to be back with your second family.

before you knew it, dinner was over and it was time to head to the dungeons. you wished your few outer-house friends goodnight, and joined the crowd of students attempting to leave the crowded room.

you somehow lost your friend within the chaos of trying to exit the room, (though you weren’t too worried, as it happened nearly every year), and simply tried to push your way towards your dorms. you’d just escaped the mass of students when you stepped on something slippery, losing your footing completely and collapsing on the floor with a thud.

a chorus of laughter arose from behind you, causing you to turn and stare daggers at the pair of redheads who were struggling to catch their breath. you knew of course who they were; fred and george weasley, the two infamous hogwarts pranksters.

you’d never had the pleasure of encountering them as they were a year older, and in that moment, you’d wished it stayed that way.

“funny, is it?” you snapped, standing up and brushing yourself off. the two boys glanced at each other, and then nodded in agreement, chuckles still leaving their mouths.

“yes, actually.” one of them spoke, looking you up and down. “slytherins do have the best reactions to our pranks.” you rolled your eyes, ready to leave and head to bed.

the one who had yet to speak grabbed your arm, turning you playfully. “may we have the pleasure of knowing your name miss-” he trailed off, just as your angry eyes shot up to meet his.

a pounding feeling shot through you both and you quickly pulled your wrist out of his grasp.

you froze, eyes dancing along the walls that used to have no color in absolute wonder. “wow.” you breathed, entranced by the delicate ‘brown’ color everyone talked about.

you would admit, it was not as beautiful as blue or green, but it suited the castle’s detailing perfectly and suddenly everything felt right. a curious look permanently in your eyes as you soaked in the color you had never experienced. you saw the school in a new light.

fred was not much different. he stood dazed, but the only thing he focused on was you. he took in your figure, drinking you in. you were absolutely beautiful, and he couldn’t believe he’d never seen you before.

you looked around in wonder, while his eyes were glued to you. he thought your expression was the cutest thing he’d ever seen.

fred turned to george and lee to ask what the hell had just happened, but they were nowhere to be seen. he frowned, and when he turned back to look at you, your gaze had found his again.

“hi.” you said, your anger suddenly non-existent.

“hi.” fred repeated, as you both took a step towards the other. you looked at each other in silence, before he spoke. “merlin. if i’d known my soulmate would be this beautiful, i would’ve looked harder.” you blushed, taken aback by the comment.

you shrugged, internally shaking off your nerves as you thought of a quick reply. “your loss, i suppose.” he quirked an eyebrow, impressed.

“you know, i do think i asked for a name.” he smiled, extending a hand.

“y/n, y/n l/n.” you said, a mischievous grin on your face.

“‘m fred weasley, but by the look on your face when georgie and i pranked you, you already knew that.” at this, you rolled your eyes, earning a chuckle from him.

the two of you were off in your own little world, the corridor nearly empty at this point, leaving the two of you alone. “i can’t believe my soulmate is a gryffindor.” you teased, though you both knew there was truth behind your sentence.

fred seemed unphased, snapping back quickly. “no offence taken, i never expected my partner to be a slytherin either.” he said it so casually, leaving you the perfect opportunity for some revenge earlier.

you raised an eyebrow, “who ever said i was your partner?” fred looked confused at the statement.

“well we are soulmates, are we not?”

you laughed, looking at him with adoration. you slowly stepped closer to him, inching your lips teasingly close to his. he looked you in the eyes once more, before leaning forward, and mere seconds before your lips touched, you pulled back, leaving a frown on fred’s face.

“oh weasley, just because we’re soulmates, doesn’t mean i’m not going to play hard to get.” you smirked, blowing him a quick kiss and sauntering off to the dungeons.

you turned around briefly to see his stunned, yet slightly impressed expression. “it’s almost curfew. might want to get climbing.” you winked, slipping down the stairs in pursuit of your common room.

fred stood in the corridor, processing everything that happened. he’d just met his soulmate. he had a soulmate. and she had been here all along, right under his nose.

someone clearing their throat brought him out of his thoughts, turning around he was faced to face with professor dumbledore. “i do believe you should head to your dorms, mr weasley.” he spoke, winking at fred and disappearing back into the great hall.

fred blinked, before shaking his head and starting up the moving staircases. “game on, l/n..” he whispered, smirking as he walked towards his common room.

you plopped down in your bed, sighing as you leaned back, looking at the ceiling. “where have you been, then?” your friend remarked, you sighing contently.

“i met my soulmate.” you said casually, hearing everyone in the dorm room shoot up and wait impatiently for your story. you told them a story, though it lacked much detail, including who it was. you were vague, only telling them it was a boy from another house who they knew of.

of course, they continued guessing, but you only shook your head, laying down to sleep. as you glanced around the dark room, you were suddenly missing the warming brown tone of the rest of the school.

usually the dungeons were your favorite place in the castle, but after tonight, you were sure that would change. and just like that, you discovered your new favorite color.

lost & found [d.m]

word count: 1.3k

pairing: draco malfoy x reader

warnings: n/a

a/n: italicized text = flashback :)

request: the request got deleted, but here’s a cuddly draco fic where the reader always loses their wand for anon!

-

“oh please not again..” you mumbled, glancing awkwardly around the common room. if they’d found out you lost your wand, surely you’d be given many looks of disappointment by your housemates. you see, you weren’t exactly the most organized person, and with that came many lost objects over time.

parchments with finished essays left in the library, articles of clothing disappearing and reappearing frequently, and your biggest issue; misplacing objects. you were known by the school as (debatably) the most unorganized student in all of hogwarts, though you argued that was an exaggeration.

however, there was one object in particular you were notorious for losing, and that was your wand. you could recall several situations in which you’d lost it; it was seemingly a daily occurrence at this point.

looking back a few weeks, to a particularly early morning on which you were feeling extra sleepy. you splashed some water gently on your face in hopes of some refreshment, though it didn't help nearly as much as you’d hoped.

nonetheless, you still had classes to attend, and groaning quietly, you proceeded to get dressed and grab your wand. plopping down on the black sleek sofa, you awaited your boyfriend’s arrival.

you were half asleep when he walked in, tapping you lightly on the shoulder. you smiled at him sleepily and got up to leave with him, when he paused and looked at you wish an amused smirk.

“forgetting something?” you frowned, looking around and shrugging at your boyfriend, who only laughed in return. he reached over the sofa, picking up your wand and dangling it in front of your face, watching you pout and snatch it back.

“let’s just go get some breakfast, yeah?” nodding, you took his hand in yours and allowed him to pull you out of the common room.

you’d wished that was the only time you lost your wand. another instance only took place two days prior.

you were hard at work in the library after a long day of classes. you’d been sitting with draco and blaise, all three of you attempting to get ahead on some homework for various classes.

you’d promised to meet up with pansy before dinner, so politely excusing yourself, you left the boys and headed to your common room to find your friend. it was only when the two of you had decided to head to the great hall that you’d noticed the absence of your wand.

you weren’t too worried about it, considering your mind was focused on the food awaiting you. when you’d arrived, your boyfriend carried that same knowing smirk on his face, and instantly you knew what it meant.

“darling, it’s a miracle you haven’t fully lost your wand by now.” he said, shaking his head as he placed your wand next to you.

you turned bright red, as all your friends nodded in agreement. “shut up! i’ll take better care of it, just you wait!”

you’d done well since the last incident; ever since you’d made the pledge to take more caution with your wand, you’d done exactly that. not because you particularly cared, but more so you were tired of being teased by draco and your friends because of it. your wand had been kept in your sight constantly for the past two days, that was, until now.

it was a casual evening in the slytherin common room, but after a particularly eventful quidditch match, there happened to be some students lingering in the room longer than usual. “just my luck.” you grumbled.

you’d been so proud of yourself, but knowing you, it was bound to happen sooner or later. you’d just hoped it would’ve lasted longer, or at least happened when it wasn’t so busy and where everyone would know you’ve lost it again.

but here you were, and unfortunately for you, the last person you wanted to be present, was sitting casually with his arms stretched out along the back of the sofa next to you.

you did your best to unnoticeably shuffle around the room, slowly making your way over to the sofas, discreetly glancing around the room in hopes of catching a glimpse of your wand. much to your dismay, it was nowhere to be seen. you nearly went back up to your dorm to search there (for the third time), when your boyfriend called you over.

“y/n, come sit!” his tone was light, though there was another meaning behind his speech. you casually made your way over, trying not to give away the fact you’d somehow managed to lose your wand for seemingly the millionth time.

draco wore his usual smirk on his perfectly sculpted face, though there was a hint of a look you couldn’t figure out. you sat down next to him, leaning your head on his shoulder while he wrapped an arm around you, you trying to act as if nothing were wrong. your friends continued on with their conversation as you cuddled up to your boyfriend, everyone unphased by your actions.

you could tell draco was dying to tell you something, though he didn’t mention anything. you let it go, assuming he’d tell you when the two of you were alone. you stayed like this for awhile, simply listening as your friends chatted away, drifting off on your boyfriend’s shoulder.

you felt yourself being gently shaken awake, blinking your eyes in a feeble attempt to adjust to the warm light being reflected from the fire in the room. “y/n, wake up.”

you groaned, rubbing your eyes and looking up at draco, who you quickly realized was the only person left in the room. you smiled sleepily at him, sitting up to face him. he smiled at you, “you should head to bed.” he said lovingly, brushing a strand of hair out of your face.

you nodded, leaning over to give him a quick kiss on the lips before standing up, stretching your arms and stepping towards the girls’ dorms. “y/n?” draco called, you letting out a small hum in acknowledgment and turning to face him, only to see him smirking evilly.

“what is it, draco?” you sighed, an expectant expression on your face. he laughed at your figure, finding your sleepy state quite adorable.

“have you.. lost anything recently?” he asked, watching your expression drop into one of shock.

“n-no?” you stuttered, clearly taken aback by his accusation. with that same knowing smirk, (which you were really growing to hate) he pulled your wand out of his back pocket.

“are you sure about that, my love?”

you pouted, reaching out for your wand, but before you could snatch it back, draco wrapped an arm around you, pulling you into him and kissing you, quickly but passionately.

“you’re so cute when you pout, you know that?” you looked at him, fighting the smile trying to sneak its way onto your face as best you could. you allowed him to pull you into a tight hug, leaning your head on his chest and hearing his heartbeat in a slow and steady rhythm.

“it’s a good thing i keep you around, merlin knows where my wand would be without you.” you murmured, feeling his chest vibrate with his laughter.

“don’t you worry y/n. for as long as you’ll keep me, i’ll make sure whatever you lose, whether it be your wand or something else, will always be found.” with a last kiss and goodnight, you went your separate ways and as you fell asleep that night, you couldn’t help but think how lucky you were to have someone like draco to keep balance in your life.

and you definitely didn’t plan on letting him go anytime soon.

i’ll show you love [p.p]

word count: 1.5k

pairing: peter pevensie x reader

warnings: insecurities, self-hate

a/n: you are all beautiful, just as you are. seeing all these type of requests hurt my heart, and know if you ever need to speak with someone you are free to message me whenever <3

request:  sorry if I'm bothering you, but I was wondering if I could get Peter with a crush or significant other that thinks their disgusting and ugly for having stretch marks and blemishes? and then proceeds to ignore/avoid Peter because they think they aren't pretty enough? not smut, but angst and fluff maybe? 💛💝 love you! - fellow Hufflepuff ☺️

-

living in narnia was supposed to be out of a fairytale. an escape from the war, somewhere you could feel safe and away from the troubles of your true home. for some, like the pevensies, this was how it was. they were announced as kings and queens of narnia, and each took the responsibilities with great care and precision. even little lucy knew how to properly handle her throne, after a little bit of time.

you had come with the pevensies to narnia, though you weren’t sure if it was meant to be intentional or not. you just so happened to be staying with the professor as well, as your aunt, mrs. macready, was his housekeeper. you’d been invited to play cricket with the four, and happily agreed, since you’d been the only child in the old mansion for too long.

all was going well, you all got to know each other a bit better (well, save for edmund who was pouting most of the time), until edmund hit a ball through one of professor kirke’s windows.

you all quickly ran through the house, gauging the damage when you heard footsteps approaching the five of you. you were trying to find somewhere to hide when edmund led you all to a room you’d never been in before, with a massive wardrobe in the middle.

“you’ve got to be kidding me.” peter muttered, but you all snapped your heads around to the footsteps seemingly just outside the door.

“come on!” edmund ushered, lucy following directly behind him and the three eldest, consisting of you, susan and peter followed behind hesitantly.

the next thing you knew, you were in narnia. of course, you didn't know it then, but you wouldn’t be returning home for many, many years. after the war against the white witch, the five of you were given the titles. the four pevensie siblings were crowned kings and queens, while you were titled the head knight, for your valiant efforts in the war.

you were slightly upset at first when you learned you did not have the titles the others did, but as the years passed and you watched them struggle with the most boring meetings with other lands and endless amounts of negotiating treaties, you really could not find it in yourself to be jealous of their responsibilities. you had your own and you were satisfied with your little efforts to accomplish them.

sometimes however, you felt as though you didn’t belong in narnia. sure, your job was important, but it was nothing edmund himself couldn’t handle. he had been named the best swordsmen in narnian history, and you figured they really could have done everything without you.

today in particular was one of those days where you felt nothing but sadness and insecurity; you knew you weren’t meant to be here. though you wouldn’t admit it, there was a specific reason today of all days was bad for you.

the princess of calormen was visiting to sort out trades with the kings, and you were in charge of ensuring her safety. you had only just been dismissed as she entered her meetings, and you assigned other guards to the room, stating you had important matters to deal with.

no one dared question you, and so you proceeded to your room, to be left alone. the princess was absolutely beautiful, there was no doubt in your mind.

as you’d been watching her throughout her stay, you realized how her gaze always seemed to linger on peter a bit more than others. how she’d bat her eyelashes at him and blush when he kissed the knuckles of her hand, even though edmund did the same and hadn’t had the same effect.

she fancied peter. why wouldn’t she though? he was amazing. he had a title, and so did she. he was beautiful, as was she. and as much as you wanted to dislike her, she was one of the kindest maidens you’d met over your years, and peter was one of the nicest kings narnia had ever seen. they were perfect for each other, you decided.

you and peter had had your moments from time to time; small things that others would have deemed a mutual crush. you had never truly acted on those feelings, however, as you didn’t feel you deserved him.

he was high king, you were only a knight. you weren’t the fairest in the land, hell, you probably looked like scum next to susan and lucy.

your mind drifted to the nights where you and peter would train, under the beautiful narnian sky, just the two of you and the sounds of your swords clashing. those were the times you treasured, but now, seeing as he was probably going to court the princess, you decided it was best for both of you to give each other some space.

--

it had been three days since peter last saw you. he was now bidding farewell to the princess of calormen, who they had finally come to an agreement with. it took many meetings and much convincing, but it was finally decided and now she was returning home.

he thought you were assigned to the princess, but he had been around her for long periods of time during her stay and you had suddenly been replaced with various guards. he was worried, and found his gaze dancing over the goodbye party meant for the princess, rather than focusing on the royal in front of him.

“they care about you, you know.” she spoke, bringing peter’s attention back to the princess.

“pardon me, my lady?” the princess smiled sadly.

“your head knight. i’ve seen the way they look at you, they care about you very much.” she repeated, a knowing smile on her face. “don’t let titles take away what you two have. you’re the high king, you decide what is right and what is not.”

before peter could reply, she curtsied, moving onto bid his younger brother farewell. peter processes her words, straightening his back. he would find you after the party, he was determined.

after what felt like many hours later, peter escaped the crowd, searching the ground for you.

he checked your chambers, the kitchens, the stables, and there was only one last place he thought he’d find you; the training area. he was all but running to the grounds, and upon spotting you swinging at a dummy, he called your name. “y/n!” you turned, obviously surprised, before you quickly began to pack away your things.

“sorry, your majesty. i’ll be leaving now.” you muttered, just as he was close enough to catch what you were saying.

“what? what’s with the sudden use of titles? y/n, you’ve been avoiding me all week. did i do something?” he asked, worry evident in his eyes- one that you refused to see as so. you took it as pity, and began walking away, before he firmly grasped onto your wrist, refusing to let you leave.

“talk to me.” he whispered, and you sighed.

“you should get back to the princess.” you muttered, disappointedly.

“she returned to her land.. y/n, were you jealous?” realization suddenly dawned on peter, and his eyes blew wide when you didn’t answer, only tugging at your wrist in a feeble attempt to escape him. “y/n, she was only here for business purposes-” he started, but you cut him off angrily.

“peter, she’s beautiful! she has a title, a land of her own- she can benefit you in marriage. she’s everything i’m not! you should court her.” you spat, and peter looked taken aback. he truly had no idea you felt this way, and a sudden guilt flooded him.

“do you.. do you think i haven’t courted you because of your title?” he sounded hurt, though you could hardly register it with the tears suddenly pouring down your cheeks.

“that, and look at me peter! i’m not beautiful like her! i don’t have a perfect body, just look at me! i’m hideous, you don’t have to pretend otherwise.” peter wanted to cry right there and then.

swiftly, he moved towards you, and without any warning, dipped his head down, taking your lips into a kiss filled with so much passion, your knees almost gave out. luckily, peter wrapped an arm around your waist, holding you firmly in place. he only pulled away slightly, resting his forehead against yours.

“you are more than beautiful y/n. and i’m not going to stop loving you until you realize this for yourself. there is no such thing as perfect, everyone has flaws and things they dislike about themselves. i’m going to show you what love is, if you’ll let me.” he whispered, and you were sobbing now.

you launched yourself into him, crying into his shoulder and letting him hold you. “will you let me, y/n?” he whispered in your ear, you nodding into the fabric of his tunic.

“yes, peter. i’m yours.”

“good, because i’m ready to love every single part of you.”

saved the night [g.w]

word count: 1.6k

pairing: george weasley x reader

warnings: a few swears, angst

a/n: this was so cute, i really enjoyed writing this one! :)

request:  hi!! i totally just binge-read everything on your account,,,but im wondering if you could do something like the reader gets ditched at the ball and george weasley discovers the reader like crying?? i’ll let you finish from there, ty xx (requested by @converseandcurlyhair)

-

the yule ball was the highlight of the triwizard tournament. it was the talk of the school; especially now as the date approached quickly. you’d hear chatter through the great hall every morning, afternoon and evening, you’d hear whispers about it lingering in the library, and gossip bouncing off the castle walls.

it seemed as though everyone in the castle, whether they be from hogwarts, beauxbatons or durmstrang, were talking about it. you’d sworn you’d even heard snape grumble about it once or twice.

you of course, were no different. you’d been asked by terry boot; a ravenclaw in your year. he’d asked you after the last potions class you’d had together, and you were more than happy to say yes.

you didn’t particularly fancy him, in fact there was another boy who you’d been hoping would ask you, but when he never did, you’d decided terry wasn’t a horrible option. he wasn’t terrible looking either.

you'd informed your mother of the dance weeks ago, and she’d been persistent on buying your outfit and surprising you. she had a phenomenal sense of style, so you weren’t worried in the slightest about that; besides, it was one less thing for you to worry about.

you really hadn’t realized how stressful a dance really was, and how many preparations were required. this had you thankful hogwarts didn’t have dances often, though now you weren’t quite sure how to act.

the weeks flew by much quicker than you anticipated; your mother had long since sent you your outfit, though you hadn’t opened it yet (as per her request not to open it until the night of the ball).

finally, the day of the ball had arrived. you’d arranged with terry to meet outside the great hall before the dance began, and decided to get ready with your friends. classes had been cancelled that day in order to allow everyone to prepare themselves for the night ahead, so after lunch you’d gathered with your group and began your looks for the night. you’d styled your hair first, helping your friends with theirs as well.

time flew by, and before you knew it, it was time to put on the outfit your mother had chosen. you gently opened the untouched box and pulled out a stunning fabric, smiling as you did so. your mother knew you well, and it was exactly the type of clothing you would’ve picked out yourself.

you slipped into your nightly attire, adding some shoes and some quick accessories before you were all ready and left for the great hall.

one by one, your friends branched off with their dates, wishing you a fun night as they did so. quickly you found yourself alone, reassuring yourself terry was only running late. though as the minutes passed, you saw the champions beginning to line up; you didn’t want to miss their entrance, so you decided you would meet your date inside.

he may have just forgotten your meetup spot, right? you were sure there was a good explanation for his absence, and without giving much more thought, you’d joined the crowd of students awaiting the entrance of the triwizard champions.

you clapped along with everyone else, and as more and more couples found their way to the dance floor, you’d decided to take the time to look for terry. you peeked outside the doors again one last time, only to see an empty corridor.

sighing, you stepped back into the lively room and moved through the crowd, keeping an eye out for him. you went to the clearing by the refreshments, hoping he’d found his way over to this side of the room, to no avail. you grab yourself a drink, a sinking feeling you’d be looking for a while settling in your stomach.

you were right; of course. it had been half an hour and still, no sign of terry. you’d given up now, a hopeless feeling rising up inside of you. you were nearly about to leave when you stumbled into harry potter; who did not at all seem pleased by the amount of attention on him.

“oh! hey y/n, sorry about that!” he exclaimed, glancing around and helping you find your balance.

“hey, harry.” you replied, softly. you almost walked away, before deciding one last attempt wouldn’t hurt. “say, harry. have you seen terry boot around?” harry gave you a look of confusion, before shrugging.

he pointed in the direction of the dance floor, “i last saw him with some friends over there.” you smiled and thanked him, heading your separate ways.

you looked around, finally catching a glimpse of him in the crowd. you smiled relieved, quickly making your way over, frowning when you saw him chatting up a girl you didn’t recognize, though you were sure she was from beauxbatons.

you were sure he was looking for you as well because he had asked you. he must’ve given up; you were nearly about to as well, so you weren’t too upset. you tapped him on the shoulder, him turning and giving you a look you couldn’t quite decipher. “oh, it’s you.” he sounded bored, and you were confused.

“you didn’t come meet me.” you replied, realization slowly hitting you.

“that’s because i never planned too. you really think i’d ask someone like you to the ball? i only did it because anthony dared me.” he laughed, and the group of students that had gathered around the scene joined in. you had never felt more humiliated in your life, and you pushed your way out of the great hall, their laughter seemingly following you.

you found yourself collapsed outside by the black lake, not entirely sure of how you got here. you cried, trying to mask your sobs with your hand as your body shook. you couldn’t believe you’d fallen so easily for the lie terry had told. you’d heard things about him before, but you’d been so excited to finally be asked that you rejected the possibility.

now here you were, sitting alone crying your eyes out on what was supposed to be one of the most memorable nights of your life.

you weren’t sure how long you’d been sitting outside when you heard footsteps heading your way. you didn’t even try to hide the tears at this point, it was beyond covering and you weren’t in a mood to care enough. this person sat down next to you, sitting quietly. you didn’t have the heart to look at who it was, but you knew immediately as they spoke.

“are you alright?” he asked, and suddenly your body flooded with nerves. you weren’t prepared for him to come check on you, and you really weren’t sure why he was.

“‘m fine, george.” you muttered, avoiding his gaze. he frowned, scooting closer to you hesitantly, and when you made no attempt to move, he settled down beside you.

“terry is an arse. doing that you was low.” he tried to reassure you, but you simply buried your face is your knees.

“it was humiliating, and i look like a mess.”

he sighed, unsure of what to do. “terry got told off and thrown out, if that makes you feel better.” he said lightheartedly, making you look up at him.

“really?” you sniffled, smiling slightly.

“yeah, flitwick wasn’t having it. deducted house points and everything.” this made you giggle, knowing terry was highly competitive, and it had made you feel a tad bit better.

your giggles died out, and you sat in a comfortable silence with him. “george.. can i ask you something?” you asked, finally looking directly at him. he smiled, nodding for you to continue. “why’d you come check up on me?” you asked, finally feeling more confident.

he paused, looking out towards the lake. “i was worried about you.” he said simply, causing you to frown in confusion.

“what?”

he sighed, “i like you y/n, a lot. you’re the most amazing person i know in all ways possible. you’re kind, funny, beautiful, you care so much about others and never put yourself first. i could go on for ages. you deserve so much better than terry.”

you sat speechless, staring at him in shock. not in a million years would you think george weasley would like you back. taking your silence as rejection, he went to stand up, but you quickly grabbed his hand, him turning to face you, and you gently pressed your lips to his in a sweet, quick kiss. he smiled, you reciprocating.

“i like you too, george.” you said genuinely, and he stood up silently, making you frown.

before you could question, he offered his hand out to you, “care to dance?” you looked at him confused, but seeing the mischievous smirk on his face, you took his hand and allowed him to pull you up.

he gently placed one arm on your waist and took one of your hands in his, swaying you slowly to the slight wind rustling around you. you placed your head on his chest, allowing him to guide you through the motions of the waltz professor mcgonagall was so keen on teaching you (and in that moment, you couldn’t have been happier for having suffered through those dancing classes).

you gently took your head off his chest, taking a moment to look him in the eyes. “thank you for this.” you whispered, a smile etched onto your face.

“it was my pleasure.” he answered, and the two of you continued to dance in silence, thankful for each other's company.

as you closed your eyes and enjoyed the moment, you thought about your horrible night, and how george weasley somehow managed to save the day and make it exactly what it was supposed to be; one of the most memorable and best nights of your life.

our spot [d.m]

word count: 1.4k

pairing: draco malfoy x gn!reader

warnings: none i think

a/n: i only proofread this once, please bare with me! also i made the reader gender neutral, i want to make as many of my imagines for everyone as i can!

request: Can I request something where it’s DracoX!femreader and she is friends with Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Draco but Draco gets jealous when he sees her talking, laughing and just hanging out with them. Maybe Harry or Ron finally does something that sets Draco off? (submitted by @buckys-hoeee)

-

not a lot of things bothered draco malfoy. he was a pureblood slytherin who everyone knew and was scared of. he was titled the slytherin prince for godric’s sake. he had everything he wanted and more all to himself. that was everything, with the exception of you.

you were one of the most beautiful people draco malfoy had ever seen. you were a pureblood, just like him, though you were in another house. your house meant nothing to him at this point though, it was the people you’d chosen to associate yourself with that set him off.

the ‘golden trio’ of hogwarts, they called themselves; hermione granger, ron wealsey and his biggest rival, harry potter. the thought boiled his blood.

you weren’t like the other students at hogwarts. you didn’t swoon over him, but you didn’t despise him either. you were different.

you treated him like a genuine person, a friend even, and that is what really caught him. he wasn’t thought of as a monster to you. he was simply draco malfoy. you didn’t care about status or houses. you were perfect.

which is also why draco didn’t deserve you. he knew this. you were happy with your friends, as much as he hated the trio, seeing you happy made everything okay. you would hang out with him alone; usually your hangouts consisted of late nights watching the stars from the astronomy tower, and that was enough for him.

it was a long last few weeks at hogwarts, students left and right running around, cramming as much knowledge into their heads as they could before the commencement of o.w.l.s and n.e.w.t.s. draco had felt like his entire week had consisted of rereading books and notes and he felt as if his head was about to explode.

he hadn’t seen you in a few days, so he decided to see if he could find you. he knew some of your favourite spots, so he threw his books in his bag and ventured off into the castle to track down his friend.

he searched the library first, as it was your go-to studying place, but after searching the entire library (it was quite full) he realized you weren’t there. he checked your common room next, asking if anyone had seen you, only to yet again be found with nothing but your confused housemates.

he then checked the great hall, the courtyard, and the black lake. he’d checked all of your favourite spots, and you were nowhere to be found. “where are they..?” he wondered out loud, thinking hard. there was only one last spot he could think of.

he looked up at the long staircase leading up to the astronomy tower, and as he began his ascent, he heard multiple voices, confusion washing over him. he hadn’t ever seen anyone else up in the tower. he almost left when he heard your laugh. he smiled, until he listened closer and could make out the other voices.

“how am i supposed to know all this? bloody hell i can barely remember where i’ve left my wand!” weasley exclaimed, exasperated.

“ron, if you actually paid attention you wouldn’t have this problem!” granger replied.

“we’ve been studying for hours, hermione! can’t we do something else?” potter asked, clearly bored. draco had had enough. had you really taken them to your shared spot? he marched up the steps, scaring the four wizards at the top.

“how could you bring them here?” he yelled, taking you aback.

“draco, what are you talking about?” you asked, clearly confused. he looked around at the trio; at his enemies, and scoffed. he turned on his heel and stormed off down the stairs.

he could hear you chasing after him, but chose to ignore it as he ran back to his common room. just as he stopped at the portrait, a hand grabbed his arm and pulled him back, shoving him into a storage closet and closing the door behind him.

“what the hell-” he spat, before a hand covered his mouth. after a moment his eyes adjusted to the dark light in the closet and he found himself alone with you, not to his surprise.

a small blush rose to his cheeks at your proximity, but much to his delight, it was much too dark for you to notice. he quickly remembered why he was in this situation and tried to push past you, only to be pushed back.

“you’re not leaving until you answer my question. why were you so upset up in the astronomy tower?” draco looked at his feet, unable to make eye contact. “draco.” you pushed, hearing him sigh. “you can’t just ignore me-”

“fine, alright?” he cut you off, “i haven’t seen you in days y/n, you’ve been too busy studying or hanging out with.. potter.” he spat, an unusually venomous tone leaving his lips. you opened their mouth to speak, but he wasn’t finished.

“all i wanted was to spend some time with you. i searched the entire school; only to find out you’ve taken them to our spot? how could you do this to me?” he breathed, his hurt obvious, tinged with another emotion he couldn’t make out.

an awkward silence followed, neither of the two knowing what to say. “i didn’t know it meant so much to you, draco.” you started, slowly. “i really am sorry. i won’t take them up there again.” you offered an apologetic smile, and he forced a smile back, ready to leave. before he could though, you spoke again.

“you don’t have to answer, but.. may i ask why it means so much to you?” at this, draco froze. he wanted to say it was because of potter, but he knew it wasn’t true. and he knew you did too.

“well.. if you haven’t noticed, not a lot of people.. like me. they fear me. they hate me.” he spilled, avoiding meeting your gaze. “but you.. you never hated me. i may put up a strong front, but it was nice to find someone to talk to without worrying about titles, or blood status.”

you listened intently, focusing on every word. “once i saw you with potter and weasley in our spot.. it just made me feel so angry and betrayed. i don’t know.” he finished, the awkward feeling of confession weighing on him like a ton of bricks.

it was quiet, much too quiet for his liking, and he reached for the doorknob to leave. however, you took his hand in yours, and turned him to face you. you hesitated, choosing your words carefully, before you spoke. “draco, were you jealous? of me spending time with harry, ron and hermione?”

he looked you in the eyes, seeing nothing but sympathy and genuine interest, before his gaze met the floor. you sighed, grasping his chin lightly and moving his gaze to yours. “i am sorry. really. i never meant to make you feel like this. i promise i’ll make it up to you.” you smiled, and he felt himself smiling as well.

you gently opened the closet door, stepping out. you paused, turning around to face him, and in a split second, you stepped up, kissing him on the cheek. “goodnight draco.” with that, you scurried off, leaving him standing there grinning like an idiot and speechless.

he blinked, before closing the closet and going straight to his dorm. he gently touched his cheek where your lips met his skin, a soft smile plastered on his lips. one reserved just for you.

“mate, what are you smiling about?” blaise asked, a sleepy and amused expression on his face.

“nothing zabini, go back to sleep.” draco snapped jokingly, flopping down on his bed with one person on his mind. ‘y/n l/n.. what are you doing to me?’

happy [ p.p | h.g]

word count: 1.0k

pairing: pansy parkinson x hermione granger

warnings: mentions of war / loss.

a/n: a little bit short, but I wasn’t really sure where I was going with this one. *italics = flashback*

request: hello!! recently found out about you and i LOVE your fics! can you write pansmione fluff? like them waking up together on a weekend and making breakfast? living together in an apartment with their cats and being soft and so in loveee (requested by anon)

-

pansy groaned, rolling over in hopes of finding her beautiful lover, only to see an empty indent in their bedsheets where she used to be. this wasn’t an unusual occurrence, hermione was known to be an ‘early bird’ as she liked to call it, one of the muggle terms she’d taught pansy sometime during their years together.

when the two of them started dating, it shocked many people; their friends, families and even witches and wizards they’d never even met properly. everyone they knew disapproved of their relationship, but neither of them cared all that much.

not anymore, anyways.

the day they met was a memory pansy treasured, she remembered it like it was only yesterday. they were fresh out of hogwarts, after the war. she could recall her exact thoughts the moment she’d laid eyes on hermione.

pansy shuffled into the old building, shuddering at the wind behind her as the door closed. she took a seat in a familiar booth, looking across to where her best friends used to be. the thought alone brought tears to her eyes; she hadn’t seen any of them since the war. hell, she wasn’t sure if they were even alive anymore.

the door swung open again, the small bell dinging, snapping her out of her stupor, looking at the door. she gawked as the girl walked in, sitting at the bar and ordering a butterbeer. the girl looked around, eventually stopping and locking eyes with pansy. her jaw dropped, and pansy was sure her expression mimicked hers perfectly.

what pansy wasn’t expecting, however, was for hermione to make her way over. “may i sit?” she asked, gently. pansy nodded, though she wasn’t entirely sure why.

during their school years, the two never fully got along; their house rivalry (and the fact that hermione was a muggleborn) got in the way of any potential relationship.

“how’ve you been?” hermione asked, taking the girl slightly aback.

“uh, a-alright considering. how about you?” a gentle sympathizing smile from hermione had eased her nerves and an all too familiar feeling bubbled in her chest.

she still wasn’t particularly sure why the ex-gryffindor girl decided to sit that day, but she couldn’t have been more thankful she did. pansy was sure she hated her up until that day, but she supposed the war changed everyone’s perspectives. it certainly changed hers; the things she went through and saw scarred her, and she learned in a very harsh way that blood status was worth nothing when it came down to it.

the strongest witches and wizards were those who applied themselves, those like hermione had her eating her words from the past 7 years. pansy wasn’t quite sure why hermione forgave her for all the insults or the years of bullying, but she had a heart of gold, and pansy was sure she didn’t deserve her.

she whined quietly, not loud enough to be heard from the kitchen, which from the smell wafting into the room, she’d determined her beautiful girlfriend was. she hummed as she threw off the covers, gently padding over from their shared bedroom and locking her arms around hermione’s waist.

“g’morning” she muttered, leaning her head against hermione’s back. she spun around, kissing pansy lightly on the forehead, smiling down at her.

“good morning.” against her wishes, hermione gently pulled pansy’s arms off of her, directing her to sit on the couch and put one of their favourite tv shows on so they could enjoy their breakfast together.

their two cats, minerva and filius found their way into the room, hopping up and settling down next to her in their regular spots; pansy on the left side of the couch, minerva and filius in the middle, and hermione’s currently empty spot on the right.

pansy turned on the tv, something that still felt somewhat foreign to her. she’d adapted well to hermione’s lifestyle, no longer wanting to associate herself with her past life and values. sometimes she did feel out of place, but hermione helped her adjust to the new life fully.

hermione came over shortly after, handing her girlfriend a plate and sitting down. their breakfast was spent laughing at each other’s short jokes and the television program playing in the background, simply enjoying the other’s company.

they spent most days on their own; usually one of the two was out working, running errands, or spending time with family/friends (though that was only hermione), and it seemed like the two never got a day to themselves. they both understood though, life after the war was troubling, and the two had to play their part in rebuilding the foundation of wizarding world.

today however, neither were feeling particularly eventful and mutually decided on a lazy day. “can we get back in bed and cuddle?” pansy gave her best pouty face; the one hermione could never say no to.

with a sigh of defeat in return, pansy jumped up and held her hand out for her girlfriend to take, which she did with a smile. she allowed pansy to pull her back to their shared bedroom, and the two of them jumped on the bed, laughing as it bounced underneath them. they crawled up and slipped under the covers, looking at each other with bright smiles.

“i love you, hermione granger.” pansy whispered, gently brushing a piece of hair out of her face.

hermione blushed bright red, but whispered back shyly. “and i love you, pansy parkinson.”

filius and minerva found their way onto the bed, settled down at the girls’ feet. the two giggled, sitting up against their headboard and allowing the two cats to sit on their laps.

they spent the rest of their morning cuddled up, enjoying the presence of the other and their cats. after the war, they weren’t sure they’d ever find happiness, but they found it in each other. they were content with what their little family had become, and they wouldn’t have it any other way.
