him sitting by that mirror in his trashed room. and his face isn't right. he still looks, objectively, like himself (whoever that is) but it's wrong.

his face is gaunt and the bags under his eyes are deep and bruised and while that can be attributed to not having eaten or slept in some time, what can't be explained away is his fucking eyes, or the grotesque way his jaw unhinges as he screams for the mercy of a death that will not come

adam knows what he looks like, or at least what he should look like. he knows his usual default expression is somewhere between mild disinterest and bordering on annoyance. even that is leagues more vibrant than the flat, vacant neutrality he's been forced into. even when screaming, his expression never changes, a blank look that does nothing to reflect the agony he's in. vacant, unblinking, milky eyes lolling in their sockets, not quite focusing on any one thing. but he can still see perfectly clearly, unable to tear his vision away from his warped, twisted reflection. and he wants to vomit

“hes fine” actually hes like 10 miles away screaming in pain while the alternate part of him slowly takes over his body but pop off queen !!

the longer i look at this. the more it looks like the mr incredible becoming uncanny meme but. thats okay right
