have another moment for the ledgers, catalogs, and records that were burned and the homes that were destroyed to hide the presence of very much alive and still enslaved people on dozens of plantations and homesteads across the south for decades after emancipation.

and have a third moment for those who were hunted and killed while fleeing the south to find safety across the border, overseas, in the north and to the west.

black people. light a candle, write a note to those who have passed telling them what you have achieved in spite of the racist and intolerant conditions of this world, feel the warmth of the flame under your hand, say a prayer of rememberance if you are religious, place the note under the candle, and then blow it out.

if you have children, sit them down and tell them anything you know about the life of oldest black person you've ever met. it doesn't have to be your own family. tell them what you know about what life was like for us in the days, years, decades after emancipation. if you don't know much, look it up and learn about it together.

im late to the party BUT can you imagine one of the other primarchs lusting after sanguinius' lover. especially one of the more self loathing primarchs like mortarion or curze. or (god forbid) perturabo. like sangy is PERFECTION they cant even fool theirself thinking "i would be better for her >:(" because... they wouldnt be. and theyd know that. unequivocally. ouchh

Yessss!!! Mortarion would be particularly so sad because she goes out of her way to be kind and gentle to him and they talk a lot so he's fallen hard but, what does he have that Sanguinius doesn't? Why would anyone leave a literal angel for him? Sanguinius can pull stars out of the sky for her, he's just stuck in the dirt.

He probably would reach a point where he stops talking to her because it hurts too badly to even try. Which of course hurts her because she misses Morty, but it hurts worse for him to have half of what he wants and never get it all, than nothing at all.

to the beautiful writers that might see this, ao3 is currently being scrapped by an AI company called RIVD. this isn't your usual AI text scrapping, they are specifically targeting ao3 to feed their own AI / "tech-orientes" fanfiction site

their "takedown form" demands that you give them your full legal name and address. they do not say what they're doing with your personal details. there's no proof that this form works

until ao3 comes out with a proper statement or manages to lock their scrapped, just lock your fics for registered users
