If anything says it's free but then demands you to create a login, it is not in fact free. Money is not the only form of currency and in the current world, data is worth a fortune. So when it claims to be "free" it costs your information. Once your email is provided they can glean all manner of information on you and many "free" apps have Terms of Service agreements that grant them full access to your phone. Pictures, downloads, microphone. It's not free, it's just hiding the true cost.
