Bad Guy My Boss is going to give me romance messiness, gun fights, workplace scheming, and, hopefully, color-coded boys in love.

Because Elyes is a dark guy (possibly a Black Brooder) while his assistant extraordinaire is a light guy (possibly a Happy Human).

But the thing is, Elyes is much lighter when he is alone with Pat.

Or at least he was.

And perhaps that was because they were very close when they first started out, sharing meals and their dreams with each other late into the night.

But now there is a wide distance (and many men) between them.

They no longer share plates side-by-side at home and small restaurants, but instead discuss the next day's schedule with a large table of options laid out in front of them.

So Elyes has gotten darker.

And so has Pat, but it's not the job that has gotten to him.

Pat's friends figure out that he is in love.

And even though he won't admit who has him heartbroken,

It's clear only one color-coded boy has all his attention because Elyes has demanded all of Pat's time for over five years.

Even though they still exist in their own little world,

The distance is getting worse all the time.

So I'm surprised that in the end of the episode, Black Brooder Elyes was the one to step up.

And close the distance that is growing between them, literally.

Because based on how the episode began, I know he is successful.

Because if he wasn't breathing down Pat's neck before, he definitely will be now that the possibility of Pat quitting has become a reality.

This conversation by the waterfall in Monster Next Door and the build up to it was everything!!

Often in this genre over coming obstacles to get together is the end of the story, so I love any time we get to spend time watching a couple work out how to actually be together once they have become an established couple.

God and Diew experienced a pretty common relationship problem, particularly when you’re still feeling your way into the relationship. God was going overboard trying to take care of Diew, leaving Diew feeling a bit babied and smothered.

Building on the excellent communication these two already have, all it look was an honest conversation for them to work out the issue and get right back on track. Nothing dramatic, just a healthy dose of talking and listening!

I love that they aren’t immediately perfect as boyfriends, and that they need to navigate their way through this early relationship period together, so that they understand what each other needs. This episode had so many great moments, but the depiction of a real relationship issue being quickly addressed and resolved was my highlight!

Cops open fire on armed Brooklyn fare-beater, also hitting 2 bystanders and officer

Four people were shot, including two bystanders and an NYPD officer, after two Brooklyn cops opened fire on a suspect allegedly armed with a

NYPD chase a man for fare evasion, tase him, become “aware of a knife” and then started blasting, hitting a cop, and two bystanders (one in the head) before getting this guy. Backtracking with “well this guy has done xyz before”, the cops didn’t know that. They frantically looked him up so they could justify a mass shooting of New Yorkers.

They drew guns over skipping the fare. They fired at anything that moved when they thought he had a knife. No confirmation that he even did have a knife.

Appalling.

Bonus:

I love Biu's faces the most.

I love that they're teasing Diew and God, but in a way that isn't cruel or isolating, but invites him to be in on the joke. He's part of their friend group now, and that comes with loving teasing, and he knows that it's not unkind from this group.

I love that Biu especially has drawn Diew into her orbit and made it clear that she thinks he's delightful, and that she's eager to get to know him better. (And all the impressed and amused looks when Diew scolds God are perfect.)

This friend group is so, so good, and I adore them so.
