Um... could I maybe request a Hudehaut x Reader comfort fic where reader is trying to deal with the knowledge their mother is dying?
"Mother"
Genre: comfort
Warnings: mentions of death of a family member
A/N: Hello, love.đđ I wasn't sure if you meant natural death (as in the reader is thinking of what will come to pass) or due to something like an illness, so I made it more open. If you think I didn't portray it well, please, let me know and I promise to rewrite it to the best of my abilities. I love you.đđ

The door to Huedhaut's room opened and he greeted you with a smile. "Come on in."
You tried to feign a smile, but the only thing you managed was for your lips to form a straight line as you nodded, acknowledging his presence. "Hey..."
He stepped aside, welcoming you into his room and he inspected you suspiciously as you paased him by.
Turning to face him, you were met with his serious expression. "What is it?" It was pointless to believe he wouldn't catch onto what was going on. Huedhaut knew you better than he knew himself.
"I'm finishing up with some documents and you have my attention, alright?"
You nodded. "Alright." You sat down at the foot of the bed and Huedhaut left a sweet caress on your hair, before moving to his desk.
As he picked up his quill, your eyes wandered to the floor and remained there, your mind frozen in a cold hell. You knew Huedhaut well to know he must've been giving you time to collect your thoughts and you were glad he was so perceptive. Your feet led you here, because your heart couldn't bear to be alone right now.
A hand touched your shoulder softly and pulled you out of the realm of your thoughts, which had become a skein of aching and denial. "Will you tell me what's bothering you?"
Looking deeply into his sapphire eyes, you swallowed thickly. "Hue..." Your vision blurred and when you blinked to clear it, cool tears streamed down your cheeks. "I really don't want to be alone right now..."
"You don't have to be alone." He took a seat beside you and wrapped a hand around your back, pulling you close, so you were resting your temple on his shoulder. "You know you can always talk to me."
"I know. But it's hard to put into words." Your voice kept breaking more and more as you spoke. "When I say it aloud, it becomes even more real... Too real."
Huedhaut gave your body a squeeze and pressed a kiss to the top of your head, remaining silent, so you could speak whenever you wanted to.
You sucked in a deep breath and spared yourself from the suffering of holding it inside you for too long. "My mom is dying." You finally managed to utter.
Huedhaut's hold on you was firm. He breathed in deeply and waited your next words.
"She's dying and I cannot stop it. I'm gonna have to part with her." Your breath hitched, as sobs came forth, the tears thick as they covered your face. "It hurts so much and I can't stop it!"
Huedhaut turned you around and hugged you tightly, your cries muffled by his chest and your tears staining his uniform. "I'm so sorry..." He whispered, truly devastated to hear that. Gods didn't view life and death quite the same as humans, but Huedhaut understood... He understood your heart with all the happinesses and the sorrows it came with. "I'm terribly sorry..."
Your fingers curled, gripping the back of his snowy white jacket tightly, desperate for some sense of comfort you didn't seem to be able to find. You wished you could get lost within his scent and never face the real world again. Alas, that was a wish he could not grant. "I don't want this day to come, ever. But I know it's not up to me. I feel so hopeless..."
Huedhaut's fingers slipped into your hair and began combing through them, gently untangling all of the painful knots formed there. "I know it hurts. Loosing someone you love so deeply... But unfortunately that's a path humans must take. It's going to hurt, but you'll get through it. I promise you that."
"I don't think I will. How will I manage without her in my life?!" You cried, your sobs getting louder and messing with your speech.
"It's how it works. You'll never stop loving her and you will miss her, but I promise you with everything that I am... This unbearable pain will not crash you forever." He said, speaking softly as he rubbed your back to sooth you, his heart breaking as he felt you shaking in his arms. "Humans are born... But then they die... It's natural and it will happen to everyone. Just... Try and think that, your mother will not suffer where she'll go. She'll be in peace. It's those left behind that must bear the loss, but... Life will find it's rightful path again. Everyone and everything will heal one day."
"But what until then...?!" You asked, choking out the words through the tears covering your face and painting a heartbreaking picture out of your features.
"Until then, you'll have me, your friends and everyone else who loves you." He said, kissing your head softly. "You'll never be alone in this. That's another promise I'm making and I will keep."
"Hue..." You breathed.
"Deep breaths now... Let me hold you."

Hello! Can I request for Aigonorus, Huedhaut, and Scorpio to them finding out that their lover is a goddess? But there is a bit of a twist, she is a part of a goddess of the zodiac (let's say the zodiac goddesses were hidden or not talked about), and she is the goddess of libra. I hope you have an amazing day!
SCM- The Zodiac Goddess
Aigonorus â Huedhaut â Scorpio â
A/N: Thank you for requesting @scarletloves đ⨠I hope you are doing well!⤠I am sorry for being so late at answering your ask. đ I sincerely hope you enjoy reading this! đĽşđ
You were standing in the throne room, infront of the king. You mother was standing beside you with a pensive look on her face.
"Why did the king summon us after all these years? Did we make any mistakes?" she wondered.
This is the first time you have actually met the king in person.
Your father was the former God of Libra. Growing up, you have heard about his tales of legacy. About the honor he brought to himself and his family. He was a man known for his intelligence, bravery and kindness towards all forms of life. People loved and respected him.
Your mother was eight months pregnant at that time, when the dark king attacked heaven. Your father saved thousands of lives in that war; at last losing his own.
After his death, your mother decided to live somewhere quiet, far away from the other gods and goddess with you.
Growing up, you only had one friend, Iris. She was the daughter of the former God of Leo. She had suffered a similar fate; her father dying at an early age.
The gentle noise of the rain drew your attention to the situation in which you found yourself.
"I have summoned you here today to make a very special request." he said. "(Name) I would like you to be the Goddess of Libra. "
You were speechless, you had no idea what to say or think. But your mother on the other hand did not like this idea one bit.
"Your Majesty, I do not want my daughter to suffer the same fate as her father." she said in a calm voice, trying to suppress her vexation.
You took her hand in yours and whispered, " Mom, don't worry, I'll be fine. We cannot refuse His request."
"Your identity as the Goddess of Libra will be concealed. You work papers and other necessities will be sent to you. You need to grant wishes as well as administer punishments." he said.
" Do you have any questions?" he asked with a smile.
" Your Majesty, we already have the Department of Wishes and the Department of Punishment. Why... do we need Goddesses for each zodiac?" you asked.
" To maintain the power balance in heaven. If the dark king or any other dark forces attack us and we lose one of our zodiac gods or one of the zodiac gods chose to retire, the power balance will be maintained by the zodiac goddess of that particular sign." he explained.
It was decided you were going to be the Goddess of Libra. The king recruited other goddess as well. Iris became the Goddess of Leo.
You all began to work covertly in the comfort of your home, as the king provided you with reflective pools.
That was until something happened.
AIGONORUS â -
âŞď¸You two have known each other since childhood. Lately, you two have started going out. Today was one such date.
You were waiting for him, outside the palace when you heard a voice. The voice came from the nearby forest. You investigated the sound and found a little boy drowning in a pond. You rescued him using your divine abilities.
" How are you feeling?" you questioned in a worried tone.
" I am alright my lady. Thank you for saving my life. " he replied. " Where do you live?" you asked, " I will take you to your parents."
âŞď¸Meanwhile, Aigonorus had started looking for you when he followed the voice and saw you helping a little boy.
You were carrying the boy in your arms when you saw Aigonorus walking towards you.
" Let me carry him." he said. " How are you feeling kid? " he asked the boy. " I am fine, Lord Aigonorus."
The child tried to smile at Aigonorus, but he didn't succeed. He was exhausted, he could barely keep his eyes open. You got to his house and handed him over to his parents.
"( Name ), may I ask you something?" he said.
" Yes." you replied with a smile.
" ( Name ), your powers have grown significantly and you've been busier recently. Is there any specific reason for that?" he asked
"Is there anything I should be aware of? ( Name )"
You decided to carry on your conversation seated on the grass. You took his hands in yours and whispered, " You can't share this information with anyone, it's confidential. "
He nodded his head in agreement, "Alright. "
You informed him about the predicament you were in, which left him greatly surprised. He was amazed at how you had grown into an adult from the clumsy young girl he had known for his entire life.
He spoke with a mild grin on his lips, " ( Name) i am proud of you."
You didn't even notice when a few small tears started to form in the corner of your eyes.
" Thank you. " you said softly. He hugged you close and whispered, "I love you."

HUEDHAUT â -
âŞď¸Huedhaut, the wisest man in heaven; your boyfriend. He knows nearly everything there is to know. Naturally he was the one who noticed your strange behavior.
You adored reading and frequently visited the library, but recently you have stopped doing so. You stopped attending the parties and avoided people, as if you were scared of them.
" How is she doing? Perhaps I should check on her." he pondered.
When Huedhaut looked out the window, he saw Vega and Iris on their way somewhere. Vega was carrying a pile of papers. Huedhaut quickly made the decision to follow them.
Iris turned around as if she was aware of his presence. He fled quickly, hiding behind a tree.
" What happened, Lady Iris? Vega inquired with concern. " I believe I sensed someone's presence. Maybe I'm too tired," she said after shaking her head a little.
They seemed to be going to your house. Huedhaut followed them in silence. Once they reached your house, he hid behind a tree, near the open window.
From his hiding spot, he saw you and Iris standing infront of a reflecting pool and Vega handing you both the papers.
They left around 8 pm. Huedhaut waited for 10 minutes, making sure that Iris and Vega have already left, before knocking on the door.
âŞď¸"Huedhaut? " you opened the door and let him in. You handed him a glass of water as he settled down on the sofa. He appeared perturbed.
He exhaled deeply before asking, "(Name), are you okay, my love? Is there something bothering you?"
You closed the windows and sat beside him. One, two, three... few minutes passed. You took a deep breath, " We were summoned by the king, few months ago," you took another deep breath, " he had a very... special request, one that requires me, and some other goddesses to work covertly."
Huedhaut attentively listened, asking a few questions here and there. " I sometimes get worried about this whole situation," you said " What if something goes wrong? "
He encouraged you to look on the positive side of this arrangement, "(Name), don't worry, I'll help you as much as I can."
The conversation became more pleasant and Huedhaut made an effort to improve the mood. The time passed quickly, he realized it was already 12:30 am and decided to return to his room.
"Would it be possible for you to spend the night here?" you asked him; putting on your best puppy eyes expression, knowing he couldn't refuse.
Huedhaut smiled and agreed, and the two of you went to your room to continue your conversation until you both fell asleep.

SCORPIO â
âŞď¸As the morning sun cast its warm glow, a smile graced your lips at the thought of meeting Scorpio later that day.
As you made your way back home, you were gretted by your mother who expressed her intention of visiting a dear relative, " (Name)", with a warm and affectionate smile. "My dearest, I shall return in the evening." she whispered, planting a gentle kiss upon your forehead before departing.
-Scorpio sat in his chair, writing reports, while keeping an eye on the wall clock. He waited patiently for Altair to arrive with the list of punishments.
Altair rushed forward with a pile of papers in his hand, struggling to maintain his balance. Eventually, he reached in front of the door and knocked on it. Scorpio promptly opened the door by snapping his fingers.
Altair nearly dropped the papers when Scorpio did so, but he managed to keep his balance and handed Scorpio the punishment lists. He thanked Scorpio and left.
Once again Scorpio snapped his fingers, the door closed. He placed the documents on the table and redirected his focus towards the reports he was composing.
After finishing with the reports, he placed them in an envelope. He stood up and took the documents and the envelope. However, before leaving his room, he noticed two papers that had fallen under his desk.
At first glance, the punishment lists appeared normal, with no names mentioned on them, which made it impossible to know whom they were addressed to. However, Scorpio soon noticed a symbol resembling an enchantment when some direct sunlight fell on one of them.
He decided to ask Altair about these and quickly went to find him. As he was walking through the corridor, he saw Altair coming out of Zyglavis's room; he seemed worried.
Scorpio decided to observe Altair from a distance. He quickly snapped his fingers, making himself invisible.
Altair was cautious, he knocked on the doors of the remaining gods one by one and handed them their papers.
Once he was done handing over the papers, he looked around to make sure, nobody was there.
He aimlessly walked around for sometime, before snapping his fingers and disappearing; leaving Scorpio with those papers.
Scorpio wanted to look for him, but he decided against it and went to the reflecting pool to deliver those punishment on his list.
Scorpio neatly put those two papers in a file.
-
âŞď¸You had been waiting for Altair since the morning.
"Maybe i should get those papers, myself?" you thought.
You snapped your fingers, which brought you in front of the palace. As you were about to enter the palace, you saw Scorpio heading towards the gate.
He noticed you and called out to you, "( Name )!"
He quickly walked up to you, " I am glad you are here." You smiled at him.
" I have already completed my work. Shall we?" he asked; his voice filled with delight.
How could you deny his request?
" Let's go." you took his hand in yours and he snapped his fingers bringing you in front of a cafe, which had recently opened, in heaven.
" You need to try their coffee. It's delicious. " he said with a boyish smile on his face. Hand in hand, you two entered the Cafe. You sat on a chair while he went to order the coffee.
" I need to go back to the palace and look for Altair. " you thought. You hands were curled on your lap; you desperately tried to suppress your uneasiness. You wanted to enjoy your date; relax with Scorpio but instead you were thinking about work related problems. A deep sigh escaped from your lips. Perhaps things would have been a lot easier if you could just tell him about your situation.
" (Name) ", you looked up at him. " Would you like to go to the lake?" He asked. You snapped your fingers and brought him and yourself in front of the lake.
You snapped your fingers again, and a red picnic mat appeared on the grass. Scorpio sat down and placed the coffee cups and the envelope on the mat; you sat beside him.
You brought the cup to your lips and took a sip, "It's delicious." you said. " Thank you, Scorpio "
He looked at you and a slight smile graced his lips, " I am glad, you like it."
" I wanted to take you on a date, for quite some time. But my work came in the way." he said in an apologetic tone.
" That's ok, you were busy" you said, as you placed your hand in his, " Moreover i was busy myself."
"(Name), do you have any plans for tonight? I would love to spend some more time, with you." he said. " But i might need to assist Zyglavis with some paperwork beforehand. So it might take a while. " he added.
"In the evening?" you asked. He nodded his head in agreement. " You can come to my house after you have finished your work. We can have dinner and you can stay the night, if you want to." you said and winked at him.
He tried his best to hide his bashfulness, with a smile. But his cheeks soon turned red as you smiled back at him. He quickly changed the topic, by asking different questions.
The conversation turned merry, as it took different turns, opening different topics which were filled in the beautiful mixture of both of your voices.
The sun was slowly setting, he stood up extended his hand towards you and you helping you to your feet. You kissed him on the cheek and said goodbye.
Suddenly a massive blow of wind came, which flew away the documents. He started to pick up the papers. You helped picking up the scattered papers and handed them to him. He noticed one of those punishment lists slightly glowing as your fingers brushed against them.
After collecting all the fallen papers, he kept them inside the envelope. " ( Name ), can you please hold these?" he asked.
As your fingers touched those papers, the papers emitted a soft golden light, conforming his suspicions. He peered at you; carefully observing the changes in your expression. Many questions came into his mind but before he could voice any, the silence was broken by your voice, " Where did you find these, Scorpio? "
"And where is Altair?" you asked.
Scorpio explained how Altair had come to give him the lists of punishments and dropped these papers and how he had tried to look for them.
You explained him the whole situation and how the King had appointed you as ' The Goddess of Libra '. As you spoke more about your work, Scorpio couldn't help but smile at you.
Scorpio gently placed a kiss on your forehead, " I am sure you will do a wonderful job, my love. Have faith in yourself. " You wrapped your hands around him and asked, " Scorpio? You are comming for dinner, right?"
" Of course, my moon. How can i refuse?" he said. " But i now need to hurry, otherwise Zyglavis might explode out of anger. " he added jokingly and snapped his fingers.
You quickly snapped your fingers as well and went home to find your mother preparing dinner.
When you were almost done administering all the punishments on the list, you heard a knock on the door. Your mother answered the door and welcomed Scorpio.

He finally found some peace! đđ The writing is wonderful as always! đĽşâ¨â¨

The sharp end of his quill dug into the yellowish paper and formed dark lines and curves, along with circles. When the letters faded, he moved the quill away from it, dipping it back into the pot filled with ink as dark as the nightly terrors that plagued oneâs mind. He turned towards his paper again, but his hand froze, his mind hushing all thoughts except oneâŚ
How beautiful you were.
Your eyes shone with millions of sparks, the stars in them dancing as elegantly as you moved and your gorgeous hair swayed around your face, a deserving frame of your beautiful features.
The blood fell from his face though, rushing to his stomach and dropping along with it. Ink was dripping from the tip of his quill onto his paper, but he didnât care, he didnât even notice.
A god was following you and Tauxolouve knew him. Theyâve never spoken, but he knew he was the same age as the two of you, his face admittedly handsome and his body pleasant to look at. Yet he never imaged heâd see you with your arm linked in his, grinning and whispering amongst yourselves.
The library was quiet, Tauxolouveâs strained breaths and rapid heartbeats the loudest thing he was aware of. His fingers grew limb, his quill falling and rolling across the paper with a tap against the wooden table, causing a crack to ruin the flawless surface of the libraryâs silence.
At the sound, your eyes flitted to him and the corners of your lips, that brightened up your face so beautifully just a moment ago fell, your eyebrows lowering and eyes losing their spark, the stars in them dull.
The young god beside you turned to you, speaking words Tauxolouve couldnât identify because of the distance separating you, but his eyebrows curled in worry, the look in his face proving concern.
Tauxolouveâs mouth dried. If it was his decision alone, heâd run up to you and hold you in his arms. Heâd tell you how sorry he was and how much he craved for your eyes to be on him, your hand in his and your sweet scent to stain his clothes. Heâd confess of the nights heâs laid on the grass and dreamt of you as he admired the countless stars that adorned the sky. Heâd even tell you of the times your lips enticed him to kiss them, to trace them with his thumb. Anything, so long as youâd forgive him. As long as youâd be his and heâd be yours.
Your heels smacked the floor lightly, but he could hear your hurry in them and depict it in your manners. Such as the clumsy way you grabbed the young godâs hand and reasoned with him to leave with you.
Tauxolouveâs jaw clenched and he pursed his lips together. The way this god looked at you was the same way heâs always dreamt of openly looking at you. And the way you smiled⌠His heart tightened in his chest and his eyes fell to the black ink smeared across the yellowish paper, ruining his neat handwriting.
The way you smiled at him was the same way you had smiled at him that night at the ball, a few months back, when guilt wasnât staining his mind and even though his days were dipped in melancholic foreboding and he watched silently as the things he loved faded and got covered in dust by the lack of use⌠At least he hadnât hurt you. At least the sight of him didnât cause your smile to die.
By the time Tauxolouve finished his school assignments, the moon had exiled the sun from the sky, stealing the throne it rightfully deserved and offering the night sky the silver jewels it made by itself, while it was waiting for the sun to stop being selfish and blinding.
His head was empty. The only thing he could feel was a painful aching coming from his heart and filling his chest with blades that hurt him with each breath. Stepping out into the night breeze, he walked slowly, allowing the cool air to pass through his dark hair, hopping to blow away his heartbreak too, but unfortunately that is not how it works. The laws of love and loss were not determined by the wind. Thatâs why it wasnât flitting and remained like a scar, reminding you for a long time of every heartbreak or every racing of the heart.
Love had the potential to feel like flowers blooming, their petals tickling oneâs stomach, but also like lightning striking you and killing you.
He heard talking, words tied together like music notes across a staff and upon turning his head, his lips parted, but he didnât say anything. Instead, he remained there, staring at a painting that made his eyes bleed and his heart stop.
The young god was smiling down at you tenderly, his eyes soft and your back was facing Tauxolouve, who longed to be the man holding you right now. âGood night.â He said and leant in, his eyes closing.
Tauxolouveâs heart jolted and before it could leap out of his throat, he moved to leave. He wouldâve had⌠Had you not stopped the young god.
Your pretty hand touched his chest and he opened his eyes again, staring at you in subtle curiosity. âIâm not ready.â You said, denying his lips.
âAlright.â He nodded, his hands slipping away from your waist slowly. âGood night.â
âGood night.â You turned away from the young god, only for the step you were about to take to vanish, your foot staying in place. Your eyes found Tauxolouveâs and you stared at him wordlessly, a lump in you throat as your mind was kept prisoner to his presence.
âHow have you been?â Tauxolouve asked, hesitantly taking a step closer to you, relieved to see you werenât pulling away.
You swallowed thickly and forced your gaze away from his. âGood, thank you.â You straightened your back, still not daring to look back at him, knowing full well youâd never be able to say the next words if you did. âI hope youâve been well too. Good night.â
âWait!â He called out, his hand reaching out for you, but stopping just before he could touch you, assuming you wouldnât want that.
You turned to him sharply, your face not stern, but still guarded. âItâs late. I want to go home.â
âI know, Iâm sorry. ButâŚâ He breathed in deeply and fisted his hands by either side of his hips. âI need to tell you something.â He paused, staring like a desperate man into your eyes and perhaps, thatâs what he was. A desperate man. Desperate for no one else, but you. âThat night, when you confessed at the ballâŚâ He began, seeing as you were listening to him, although your body was slightly turned away from him. âI denied you, but please. Please, allow me to take it backâŚ!â
âWhat are you asking of me?â You asked, your heart racing and it hurt you deeply. It shouldnât be racing like this. You had moved on⌠Or so you thought. Regardless, you had to keep yourself together.
âIâm asking if youâd want to try this with me. Be together, I mean.â He didnât know what he was doing. He swore heâd push them all away, so he wouldnât have anyone to lose, yet here he was, blinded by love and pain and going against his better judgment.
You closed your eyes and inhaled deeply, your body facing him fully. Your heart ushered you to accept, yet your mind advised you to deny. You promised yourself a new start after all. And you had someone who loved you and treated you well. It was wrong for you to yearn for Tauxolouve still. âLike you said back then⌠It wonât last. After two weeks, everything will fade away. After one dance all of this will be nothing, but another experience in your list of lovers. I will be yet another meaningless name among the many. Thatâs not what I want.â
The cracks across Tauxolouveâs heart spread more and more, until the bloody carves connected and his heart fell apart, blood no longer flowing in his veins, as he listened to you, answering him honestly about a lie.
âBeing another goddess is not what I want.â You said, hurting inside, but you steeled yourself and turned your back to him. âI want to be someone who lasts. I want a love thatâs deep and strong, not something thatâs disposable and useless after two weeks. Iâm sorry, but our goals just donât alignâŚâ And then you fled, your feet moving quickly away from him, so he wouldnât see the tears you could no longer hold within your ribcage.
Tauxolouveâs head hang low, his gaze unfocused on the ground as his eyes blurred. He hated himself. He hated his fate. He hated not being able to cherish the one he loves. And he hated how there was no one here to grant his wish.
âI wish you understoodâŚâ He muttered, a broken whisper lost in wind.
That night, you sat outside at the balcony of your house, your arms folded onto the table and your face buried in them. Usually youâd stare up at the stars, but you didnât dare to anymore. Their silver glory reminded you of all the dreams youâd craft.
Youâd dream of him and his caramel scent wrapping around you, as heâd hug you close. You craved to nuzzle your nose into his chest, or rest your temple onto his shoulder and stargaze with him.
But you forced yourself to get rid of those dreams now⌠Thus, you avoided the sight of the stars, your mind not obeying your wishes, or the fact that you were with someone else right now.
You closed your eyes, trying to part your senses with everything around you, blocking away the reality and your surroundings, so you could fade into darkness. And apparently, it worked a little too well. Your muscles relaxed and your breathing slowed down, your eyelashes resting on your cheeks, as your mind drifted away.
Humans would often say the laws of the universe are unpredictable. No one really knows what life has for them next. Gods, on the other hand, never question such things. Theyâre connected to the universe, pulling the strings of humansâ fates, be it through reforming them or rewarding them.
Yet what they didnât know⌠Was that a godâs wish could be granted ever so often.
Your mind molded a lake, its waters crystalline, though when you peered into them, your reflection was not present. You looked around you, your brows furrowing at how vivid and real the dream felt.
A statue of a god came into view and casting your eyes lower, a god in his teenage years stood there, paint brush in hand and his fingers stained in colors. His eyes were dark and gorgeous as the sunlight found home within them and when he stared at you, your breath hitched.
But gazing closer, you noticed his gaze was not quite on you. His eyes were casted far, a peaceful expression across his face. Your mind was hazy⌠Who was that godâŚ? He looked familiar, but you couldnât name him, like a place youâve been in your childhood and is now nothing but a fever dream youâre not even sure if really existed.
Then his face blurred, the image wrinkling like the surface of the lakeâs water and you found yourself inspecting the next thing you saw closely. Now, a man was right in front of you, his features helping you connect the previous young god to this one.
In this image, his face was shaped with every aspect of maturity and although he was an adult, you could still tell you knew him.
Something tugged at your heartstrings at the sight of him though. His face was covered in dust, his clothes wrinkled and also dirtied and your throat tightened the more you looked at the distress written all over his beautiful face.
Just as the image began to fade and your world got dipped into endless and bottomless darkness, a tear streamed down your cheek. âHeâs dyingâŚ!â You choked out.
A big portion of air entered your throat suddenly and your eyes opened widely. You sat up, gazing frantically all around you. For the breathtaking lake, the handsome young god, the beautiful yet sorrowful man that pushed everyone away so he wouldnât have to part with anything⌠Yet no one was here, except from you and a single name in your mind. âTauxolouveâŚâ
Beams of sunlight slipped through the brunches of the trees, adorned with bright green leaves, representing life and purity. And yet, you couldnât enjoy them like you normally would.
Sitting below the shade of a tall tree with a book in hand, your efforts to ease your mind were proven pointless. Your eyes were on the pages, but your mind was unable to focus or process anything the letters tired to explain.
Early this morning you had broken up with the young god. The guilt was too heavy to bear at this point and the chain attaching you to him snapped, metallic pieces scattering everywhere.
You shut the book and set it on your lap, before you buried your face in your hands. The dreams of a god were never a coincidence. They always meant something and always told the truth.
You heard the sounds of soles wandering down the green path, with the intoxicating scent of the flowers enchanting every sense and muscle. You looked up⌠âTauxolouve!â You cried out, with much more volume than you had intended and Tauxolouve halted in his path, staring at you in surprise.
âYesâŚ?â He asked, hesitantly. His eyes seemed lifeless and his movements sluggish and it hurt you deeply. Those eyes were not the same eyes of the young god from the dream and it only proved how broken he is. It only proved how much pain he has been carrying on his shoulders up until this point.
âI need to speak to you.â You said, lowering your voice again and pursing your lips together after you said that.
He swallowed thickly, expecting only the worst after what he did last night, but he still complied. Could it have been your precious eyes, your lovely voice or perhaps his desire to behold you staring at him? He earnestly didnât know, but he allowed the desire to overtake him, like a leaf on the waves of a current.
You inhaled deeply and looked up at him with watery irises, which reminded him of gems at the bottom of a marble fountain. âI am so sorry⌠I⌠I had no ideaâŚ!â You began to speak, yet all your reason crumbled, your vocal cords bending in a manner that gave out a broken sob.
âWhat are you apologizing for?â He asked, surprised and worried to see you shedding your beautiful tears and words. âYouâve never done a single awful deed.â
âI have.â You insisted, biting down onto your lips in frustration. âI didnât know⌠How much youâve struggled.â
âWhat are you talking about, little lady?â He asked, working up the courage to cup your face in his hands and wipe your tears away with his thumbs, before more streamed down your cheekbones.
âTauxolouveâŚâ You breathed, before spreading out your arms and enveloping Tauxolouveâs torso within them. âI did know your true intensions behind anything. I judged you incorrectly and only made your pain worseâŚâ You paused, sucking in a few quick breaths, before continuing. âYou pushed meâand everyone elseâaway so you wouldnât have to part with anything once youâll die. I had no ideaâŚâ
âHow doââ Tauxolouveâs arms tightened around you. âYou need to let go before your boyfriend sees.â He tried to reason and pull away, but you gripped his clothes and kept him there, within your hug.
âI broke up with him. I donât want to be with him, I never loved him.â Looking up at him, Tauxolouveâs mind hushed and you threw his heart into chaos with your sweet tongue. âI love you. I want to be with you, please donât push me away.â
Tauxolouve placed his hand on the back of your head, pulling your face into his chest.
âLouâŚ?â You asked softly, feeling the slight jolt of his body.
âDonât look, please. Just⌠Just give me those momentsâŚâ He answered, his voice shaky. A cool tear fell onto your forehead and you gave his body a squeeze.
âI love you. Please, allow me to be by your side and ease your pains form now on.â
â(Name)âŚâ He sobbed more clearly now. âThank you, thank you⌠I love you.â
