Gods, I love writers so much. You're telling me I can read someone's thoughts from hundreds of years ago? That someone could teach me something, or go on a rant, or make me laugh even though we've never met? That I could touch someone else's heart, or brighten their day, or make them see things in a new way, with my words? That a part of me could live on in a book after I die, that people could still hear me speak? This is magic, we've invented goddamn magic.
