Writers Language

What is really strange, when writing is reading your own material back a while later. I'll read a sentence, and thing 'How on earth did I come up with that? I never use words like that. How did that pop into my brain? What does that word even mean?'

An hour later, I start writing, and I'm using exactly the same style. What is even stranger is I cannot replicate my own writing style in anything outside of fiction. It is as if I go into a completely different space.

We’re going to use song lyrics as titles.

We’re going to check for comments 30 seconds after we post something.

We’re going to have more WIPs than days of the week.

We’re going to use any excuse to post snippets.

We’re going to use ask box games to procrastinate.

We’re going to hype up our writer friends.

We’re going to scream, cry and throw up reading our friends’ work.

If they were to remake GoT today, Harry Gilby would my number 1 choice for Jon. He's even got a proper northern accent.

She was not sure who as yet, but she knew she would find someone.
