Ekans - a medium-sized snake native to Kanto. Despite their intimidating appearance they are harmless to human and every bigger animal as they doesn't have teeth, their only form of defense is a large rattle which can scare some of predators. As they doesn't have teeth, they feed on eggs, however if they have opportunity they will try to ambush other animals. They spend most of their time on tree branches, coming down only to feed and breed. They are very common in grasslands near forests. Ekans once was believed to be close relative to both Arbok and Seviper, mainly due to its color, but genetic researchs says they aren't really closely related and are completely different families.
