rangersveppir - Skjøldur Labs with Ranger Sveppir

Okay so I'm friends with one of the Archeologists here in Ohrken, Dr. Dawn. Not going to go into too much detail as to not lose the point of this post, but her job is to photograph the accessable sections of the many ruins of the region, partly for preservation mostly for a lot of regional governmental requirements and other crap. Well, she was looking at some of her pictures before sending them off when she noticed the lil guy on the floor in this one. She went back and it was gone. She's both excited and freaked out haha, unown haven't been documented in the region and this guy doesn't look like any form I've seen, so new discoveries may be coming out way, I'll keep you updated the best I can, very exciting stuff.

Update on the strange unown.

Current theory is its some kind of regional form, Dr. Dawn's team got permission from the regional government giving them permission to and I quote "non-destructivly alter/excavate _____ ruins for the purposes of archeological and biological discovery"

The quote isn't important I just find it funny how this kind of stuff has to be worded.

So yeah if they find anything I'll let you guys know.

Also I got some questions about the carving on the wall. No one has any idea what it means, I personally think the pokemon in the image is a sliggoo but that's just me.

Since Saturday they've let Woops stay with me in my room, and sol gets to come in during the day. Helps a lot with the Isolation haha. However Woop'salot has developed an odd if kinda funny behavior, so in the room next to my bed they've got a lot of equipment set up, mostly to monitor my heart and oxygen and stuff after the surgery. Most of its off but about every four hours one of the machines let's off a a series of low beeps, and Woopsenstein has decided that it's a challenge haha. Every time it goes off Woops bellows back at it and stances up a bit, and when it stops he looks at me with such a proud "look dad I won" face.

As a pokemon ranger, what's the most dangerous pokemon you've ever had to wrangle? I'm sure it's all sunshine and Butterfree out there!

-weak2dragon

Oh that's that's tough one, I've had lots of wild cases but if I had to pick an example off the top of my head, excluding this incident with the tryanitar which I don't count since I'm retired now, I would say a chingling. I'll probably make a full post on this sometime but to keep it short a little girl and her chingling fell don't one of the abandoned Mines near Driftveil, we had to bring them both up while keeping them calm because that mine was in horrible shape and one scream from that little bell would have probably gotten us all crushed. So yeah probably not the most dangerous in the usual sense but it was terrifying in the moment.

When it rains it pours doesn't it. Bad news, I won't be going back to work as planned. Good news, Its because I'm leaving the region to pick up a patient. Because we can't trust the PC system. Don't know where yet, but might be Unova so I am a little excited, after the incident everything here has gone real "hush hush" about every little thing, I understand it but it makes planning for anything hard haha.

Don't we all love Greg haha. Though I would be interested in seeing what other slowpoke themed stuff you have? Also if you ever go to Azalea town in Johto make sure to check out the thrift stores they always have tons of slowpoke themed stuff for very cheap if you don't mind it being a bit scuffed or old. A friend of mine who lives there has a massive collection of Slowpoke themed kettles, she has like ten and they are all different.

I Realize I Haven't Posted A Picture Of Kyle Yet- Here He Is On His Perch :] He Picked It Out At The

Packing Day

Getting stuff together for my trip, Sandy keeps trying to hide in the clothes I'm sorting and it is adorable. I'm going to see about sending out some more berries today since I wont be able to send any new ones while I am out, but with mail-time it shouldn't feel like I am away for too long.

Stay safe everyone.

I hate the TSA

Okay so my flight had a layover in Unova, was able to get on the plane no problem in Ohrken, just regular screening and I was off. In Unova I got taken aside for questioning and was held up for three hours being interrogated about my prosthetics (apparently the fact I have three is suspicious) Needless to say I missed my flight and the next one isn't until Tuesday morning, so if anyone in Unova wants to say hi I am currently in a hotel in Driftveil so feel free to hop over, I don't have much planned other than seing about getting lunch in Castelia which should be nice.

My mom says I spoil him. I say that I should win him more plushies from claw machines.

Hello! I was just wondering if you had any advice to rangers new to the field? I just got back from my first mission and I can already tell I have lots to learn ^^;

- Bee @pokemon-ranger-bee

Congratulations! A lot of stuff you will learn in the next coming months will be from the station you work at this varies from station to station is location highly effects the kind of work you will be doing most of the time. But I can give some more generic-ish advice that applies everywhere. During a mission people can be just as dangerous as the pokemon, especially to themselves. A lot of films and other media like to depict a group of rangers calm down a raging pokemon while a crowd looks in awe, don't do this if you have a team member with you one of you should focus on crowd control, keep bystanders away from danger, and prevent anyone from getting ideas about playing hero and getting hurt. If you have one of those newer Styler's that can gain buffs from pokemon captured with it remember your type charts, and learn the types of the pokemon in your local area. Learn the locations where water pokemon like to hang out in the area you serve in, we are often called to deal with fires while the actual fire department makes their way over, so knowing where the closest water-type is can be very useful. Keep your styler charged whenever possible. Prepare for negative reactions, while most people respect the work we do there are some that have the opposite view, so be prepared and be ready to continue with your tasks anyway. This is another reason to do crowd control whenever possible, it becomes harder to stop a rampaging Ursaring when your being hit upside the head with a cane haha. Bring survival equipment with you, this is more pertinent to rugged regions like Sinnoh but Its still good practice to keep dried foods, or MREs in your pack for emergencies, if possible I recommend enough for you, your partner pokemon and one other person for three days. Keep water on your especially in dry areas, and pack flares.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, treat pokemon with respect.

Sorry if this was a little long winded, just trying to list some things I wish I knew when I started, I wish you the best of luck! If you have any more questions now or in the future feel more than free to ask.

Made it

Finally got to Seafolk and got to meet our patient, a ralts. Very shy but still adorable, I will be spending the next few weeks visiting and getting her ready to travel back to Skjøldur, so if you live in the area and want to visit I'll be free for a decent bit of time each day.

Stay safe out there.

( @hinaterror1999 ) You receive a package. Inside this package is a container with a handful of Cheri and Chesto berries.

I figured since you sent me some berries, I should return the favor. It isn’t much, but these berries grow frequently around where I live. but I hope you find them helpful. Maybe you can pickle them and see how they taste.

Thank you so much! I havent had Chesto berries in ages!

Here he is

This is one of the better pictures, he weighs almost 1k lbs. and his shell is six feet long.

Here He Is

Its shell is home to 24 species of mold, and if you have asthma do not come within like 100 ft. you will probably die. We had to wear masks because of the spores.

Even better I have a series of pictures in motion! Its old so sorry about the poor video quality but here we go, for context I had gotten this jar off her twice before deciding to film the third before releasing her from her glassen prison hah.

[Included is a video of a small larvesta with a large jam jar stuck on its head, it has stuck its head in after the sweet smell and is now wiggling around trying to get it off, since its little legs cant quite reach. A male voice can be heard "Sol why? You know its empty, we've already done this twice, there's nothing in it" , *a mechanical hand reaches down and helps get the jar off and throws it in the nearby bin* "Now no more getting in the garbage little lady, you hear me?" *the larvesta looks at the camera, then at the bin, then the camera, then jumps on the bin knocking it over, the footage blurs as a loud NO! can be heard before the video ends.]

Owners of Bug-Types, send me pictures of the lil' grubs. This is an order. I'll sue you if you deny me the joy of seeing images of insects.
