The Lady of Life
fores((got inspired by a picture on my dash earlier, enjoy an AU RoxyJane fic))
If there’s one word to describe Roxy Lalonde, it’s determined. One could also use ‘silly’ ‘tipsy’ ‘obnoxious’ or even ‘nerd’, but determined was fitting to describe her work ethic when it came to her interests. A natural scientist, Roxy had been fundamentally fixated on an idea she’d traced across the world. From the earliest recordings of mankind, there has always been mention of a ‘great lady’ towering and beautiful that guided humans and all life to fruition, and supposedly was one to start life itself in eons past. Accounts vary widely, but almost all cultures agreed on this basic foundation.
Roxy, never being one to put down a good idea, toiled for months gathering each little scrap of information about the mythic being, and while most turned up empty, she eventually found a single thread to follow. Off the west coast of the Americas was a small island in the Atlantic Ocean, amazingly it was said to be uninhabitable despite being in a lush area of the world, and this was supposedly due to eternally-choppy waters and strange wind patterns surrounding it that made human visitation impossible. No official or unofficial expedition had ever been done there, and according to her notes the mainland nearest this island supposedly had unusually high amounts of artifacts related to this strange mythic woman she studied, so she figured there was no better place to start.
Now, many colleagues tried to dissuade her from doing this, practically suicide to try and visit the doomed isle, but she was far too determined to turn back now, and wasn’t going to let a bunch of naysayers get her to stop. So, she spent the next few months designing and building a sea craft able to stand up to the unnatural defenses of the isle unscathed, and once it was done she set off for her destination.
Overall, the results were mixed.
On the one hand, she actually did manage to defy the odds and get through to the shore of the forgotten island, but on the other it was because her ship ripped in half when she got near and she was shipwrecked in the rocks. Still, it had the result she was hoping for, and was left to explore the lush secrete isle. Indeed, it was like a veritable garden of Eden, possessing all manner of wonderful plants and animals, environments like a lush forest stretching from end to end of the island.
At first, Roxy was just happy to survive the wreck, but over time she became dissapointed; she’d traveled all this way and all she had for it was a pretty but wholly boring island to show for it!
And then she felt a boom.
The earth shook and shuddered as if a mighty weight had been dropped, knocking Roxy to the ground and left her prone. She got up after a few moments, but was still shocked at the sudden event. At first she didn’t know what to make of it, but then she noted a distinct pattern to the disturbed leaves and brush of the forest, pointing to a potential source, and her curiosity grew. It took her around ten or twelve minutes, but soon she stumbled across a clearing, and with it, her prize.
She was an utter colossus, smooth light brown form stretching over the treetops even sitting down, no tree even reaching her knees at the lowest point. Her pale skin was speckled with white dots on her upper body, leading up to her, in roxy’s own words, ‘freakin’ adorbs’ face, rounded and vibrant. Her eyes of blue sparkled like pools of water, and her greenish hair was parted by two brown antlers emerging from her head. She was exactly like she was described in the most ancient of records, sitting there gently wading her feet into a small lake.
Roxy couldn’t help but just sit there, awestruck by the supernatural beauty of the goddess she’d stumbled upon, and was dumbfounded as she frantically sketched and recorded her incredible discovery in her journal. She went so fast in fact, she stressed her pencil, and made a loud snap as it gave way under her speeding hand. Roxy froze at this as she saw the goddess pause, and turn her gaze toward her.
Roxy didn’t know what to do, utterly at a loss, and so she went back to that most basic of instincts; run the heck away. She bolted in the other direction as fast as she could, but it would only be with two steps the ethereal woman’s huge pale-brown foot slammed down like a wall in front of her, running headfirst into the soft surface and falling on her butt. Soon, the nature deity was standing over her, hands on her hips and towering like a small mountain over her, looming face in an inquisitive and somewhat annoyed expression.
“...Ey I know I probably fricked up real bad, but would you mind holdin’ that pose for a lil’ bit? That is like, the perfect perspective for my notes, you look super awesome.”
“….Uh, sure :B”

John draws upon every scrap of power he has and grows the absolute biggest he's capable of getting.
Often times he wondered how big he could get. Several times he had grown large enough that his height could only be counted in light-years, and even then the light-years looked like millimeters compared to his vastness. But he had never gone to what was his limit. Did he even have a limit? He wasn’t quite sure…There was always a chance to find out.It was easy to forget how powerful he really was. Yes, he showed it off when he devours entire galaxies, create new planets out of dust, or wipe out an entire race with a bat of his eye. But he could do so much more, if he put his mind to it. All of that was but a fraction of what he could truly do. Today, however, was not the day that he decided to experiment with his true abilities. He started at his smallest, two-hundred feet, and rose up from there. The planets which had dwarfed him soon shrunk to nothing but specks in his vision within seconds, and still he continued to grow. The Solar System that housed his Earth became infinitesimal before his very eyes, and the Milky Way soon after that. Galaxies began to spin around his incredible form, forming chains as they gravitated to him. Soon, they too became nothing. For a while it was just him and the darkness of space, and it was only when he focused on one spot could he see the true details. Nebulae and galaxies, millions upon millions of stars the size of atoms compared to him. Then, he felt like he hit something. It wasn’t solid, though he couldn’t seem to pierce through it. He continued to grow, his body curling up as much as it could in the increasingly tighter space. And soon, the pressure was gone, and he was left staring at a swirling cosmic mass of a Genesis Frog. He had popped straight out of its stomach, which sealed itself shortly after. Glancing around, he saw similar Frogs, all of varying size and color. They all retained the same, blank look in their eyes. He grew and he grew until he could hold one of the frogs between his fingers, and decided to stop there. This was it. There was nothing more outside of these frogs. Unless…One of John’s unimaginably macroscopic hands picked up one of the frogs, his own frog, and popped it into his mouth. If there was nothing outside of the frogs, then /he/ would be what is outside of it. John himself would be the holder of not just one universe in his stomach, but all universes. And from the looks of it? He had a whole lot of frogs to consume.
