On Net Neutrality

On Net Neutrality

This is, obviously a massive issue. This could fundamentally remove internet privacy, hobble education and squash small businesses.

But you know what else it could do?

It could kill people.

Yes.

It could kill people.

Take, for example, Youtubers. Let’s take @markiplier for example. Hundreds of people, if not thousands (at my estimate) have been saved from suicide by him. Hundreds of people write in that he saved their lives.

So what if all those people suddenly can’t afford to engage in practices that keep them from committing suicide?

Suicide. That’s what happens.

Many people depend on these websites as a coping mechanism.

Many people depend on these websites in general, for a variety of reasons. They could be providing them with psychological support, understanding their own sexuality, to not be alone and many many other things. You can’t call a suicide hotline if you don’t know the suicide hotline and can’t look it up.

Without access to these sites, those people could, and some quite likely will, die.

This.

Could.

Kill.

People.

My gf said “chatie-chatie” means kitty-kitty in french??? Correct me if we are wrong, cause we use this term all the time while we are roleplaying. 👀

Attack on net neutrality is an attack on our freedoms.

The freedom to express yourself on the internet

The freedom to believe what you think is right

The freedom to see the whole truth

Freedom does not come with a price tag it comes with pride and breeds intelligence
