Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! This is such a perfect headcanon and makes so much sense, especially for the reasons you mention in them having known each other for a long ass time and both being skilled liars and manipulators? It’s probably always been a thing right from the start (mostly because of their parents being such horrible people) and persisted long after Mary became an actress while Roman became a criminal drug lord so yeah, it’s hella entertaining to think that even they’ve both grown up, they’re still able to pick up on these tiny tells and just KNOW when the other’s full of shit. Probably something really obscure that even Batman struggles picking up on. Bruce wasn’t allowed to join the club. While we’re on this topic, I’d like to go back to something you mentioned earlier, specifically about the sibling-like hadcanon I sent to you with them having this really quick back-and-forth with no bullshit about each other? They can’t get anything past each other for the reasons you mentioned as they both know when the other’s lying their ass off so are brutally honest with one another, because you know, friends!

ARE THEY EVER!!!! Jason and Roman are indeed the best of friends and how can they not be?? They’re always so eager to play together, to learn about one another and what makes him tick. Roman even calls him brother in one panel! It’s hard to find two buddies closer than that. 😂 Seriously though, I love this so much even if it’s actually the complete opposite and oh yeah! Don’t forget you still owe Jason movie night, Roman!

//hc meme- Comfortable silence. I think Li's just been around long enough and she's naturally quiet enough that when she flits into rooms with a quick knock- papers and coffee in hand- or is focused on getting Roman patched up, that it's not awkward or hesitant when the silence falls over. And the same time, I think that makes the times she does say anything snarky or sarcastic more funny.

Approved! I can totally vibe with the idea of Li being this beacon of calm in the chaos that surrounds Black Mask and his actions, keeping a lid on his temper by ensuring everything’s running as smoothly as possible. She doesn’t add to the drama, she navigates through it, serene and unaffected with coffee and paperwork in hand. Li is almost certainly not commended enough for everything she has to put up with and it’s thanks to her that Roman hasn’t ended up becoming even more unhinged were it not for her collective competence. Her sense of humour would be right up his street too, snarky sarcasm and dry wit wins out over the overly loud gags he’s accustomed to at the hands of other rogues.

I just wanted to add something onto that post about Roman being good at escaping and how he would have escaped Arkham City with no problem if he hadn’t deliberately gone back just to spite Hugo Strange by attacking TYGER’s weapon storage facilities.

Upon waking up, the first thing Roman usually does is work out for a few hours to maintain musculature and form. Strength exercises are his go to but he opts for cardio as well to build up both stamina and endurance, along with boxing and wrestling.
