Which Death Would You Experience?
Which death would you experience?

The betrayal
You die at the hands of the person you love most. Maybe there are tears in their eyes as they drive the sword into your chest, maybe there is none. There are certainly tears in yours. Your mouth will open to ask 'why' only to spit blood instead. You will die never knowing if they loved you at all, wondering if you could've done something to prevent this, or if it was always going to end this way.

no but it being a running joke that even if roman directly catches her cheating she. will not. break. staring him down like 🥺🥺🥺 'i would never do that. not ever' 🥺🥺🥺 'how could you accuse me so'
In response to this;

AGREED. Roman gets so fucking steamed about it too, Mary can look as innocent as she wants but it’s a fucking lie and he knows it. Girl, you’ve done nothing wrong in your life ever but this is not one of them.
@riddlethat asked: what would he be like as a father? like, to his own child??

(Continued under the cut!)
Distant for the most part. Roman has very few, if any, good memories of his own parents while growing up and has no desire to perpetuate his experiences onto a small child. Mr. and Mrs. Sionis were domineering and self-centered people, utterly obsessed with their self-image and how others perceived them. Roman’s no different but the thing is he doesn’t pretend he’s a good man. His parents did and in public they portrayed themselves as a loving family, plastering fake smiles plastered on their faces as readily as the lies they spouted. Behind closed doors, life was a very different story where they openly reviled their son, if they weren’t pretending he didn’t exist or otherwise dismissing him as a nuisance in their lives. As a result, Roman would find it difficult to connect with a child. He’s cruel, vulgar and foul in every imaginable way, his idea of a good time being brutally torturing some hapless fool and making their death a slow and excruciating one. There’s no room for innocence in the life of a mob boss but upon becoming a father, Roman would at the very least try. What are they interested in? Are there certain things they like? All these and more he’d try to find out about his charge, gradually spending more time with them before asking upfront the more comfortable he gets. He’s not taking them to the ball game anytime soon but he will fund their interests and activities, treating them to the best of his abilities as a way to make up for the lack of presence in their life. It’s for the best, or so Roman believes. He’s a deeply troubled man who is prone to explosive violence and unspeakable acts of cruelty, plus with so many enemies who’d just love to use his children as a way to target him, keeping his distance is the best way to avoid them getting hurt. He’ll kill for them, and gladly do it too, but his own upbringing makes him too afraid to get more involved, out for fear of being just like his own parents once were.
What if Roman met a woman who's already pregnant and takes a liking to her ? Would he help her raise the kid like his own after the birth ?

(Continued under the cut!)
It would be an unlikely situation but not impossible! Roman Sionis isn’t a very nice man and it’s no secret so you aren’t likely to find pregnant women in his company. Frankly any woman in her right mind would do well to stay clear of this man (and any business to do with Black Mask altogether) but Gotham IS a wretched city, so even the unexpected can happen. In the right situation with the right person? Roman might very well lend a helping hand to a struggling soon-to-be parent, especially if he’d taken a liking to her. Not having a partner in the picture makes a relationship more likely to happen, even if it’s not his responsibility to step up. He sure as hell didn’t make this kid and this isn’t his partner, but they’re alone in the world now and maybe there’s good reason for that? One example being if they’re in more danger being around their former partner than they are being around a criminal like him. Roman isn’t struggling in the slightest and can certainly spare the resources to help out a single mother and in a way, he might even enjoy it. Having a ready-made family on stand by would prove beyond all doubt he’s a true man. Who could even question the child’s paternity when Roman’s facial features are obscured, being disfigured the way he is? It’s an ideal situation if he himself is single, wanting a connection outside of work and to throw off any doubts or suspicions as to why he hasn’t had children yet. He won’t be terribly involved in their upbringing beyond providing financial means, too busy persuing his dreams of becoming Crime Lord of Gotham, but in a more secure future when he’s sitting on top of the Food Chain? Then he’ll have the time, the means to do more than just provide his ‘family’ with security and comfort.

Roman didn’t have a lot of friends growing up, at least not inside his social circle. He was too rough, too vulgar for the other socialites to warm to even with his parent’s ‘education’ on how to behave around their sort. He did, however, get along with a few, most notably @babydxhl and @sanguine-salvation, whose company Roman liked enough. @brutalscaled was the very first friend he made without his parent’s knowledge, early one spring while holidaying at their country estate. Roman had taken a liking to the scaled boy, preferring his company over the hateful rich kids his parents forced him to befriend. During his teens, Roman would go on to make more friends. One of these new friends was a boy named Garfield Lynns. Angry delinquents at heart, the two got along like a house on fire, committing petty crimes and even acts of arson together. After Roman was caught sleeping with Circe (and summarily disowned), he knew exactly who to turn to and together they burned down the Sionis Estate, their first crime that result in people’s deaths.
(Ratctchr) [Text]: She's a smaller woman with curly brown hair. Lmk where to send her so she doesn't end up at the wrong office or something.
[Text]: Please.

Roman knew Croc had his own life outside of working for him and he’d always respected the big guy enough not to pry. A smaller woman with curly brown hair? He frowned as he thought back to past conversations with his missing compagno, vaguely recalling him mentioning the name Madeline. Croc had spoken of her fondly, the deep growling baritone of his voice turning softer, thoughtful even as they’d talked about other people in their lives. [Text]: Steel Mill, the Industrial District. There’s enough public security on the streets to discourage our mutual nemico from trying their hand at a second kidnapping. The Sionis Steel Mill was one of his legitimate businesses and while it did serve as a front for his more nefarious dealings, it was by far one of his most public and guarded properties due to the heavy industrial nature of the job. A lone woman would have no trouble passing through, like anybody else merely seeking a job. [Text]: Let her know my aides will be waiting outside. They know better than to cause trouble around here. A petty jab at Otis perhaps, but it was a promise of reassurance for Croc’s friend that no harm would come to her while on his turf. Roman would make sure of it.
