2000s ramble from a 2010s kid

To me, there's such a weird coziness about the late 90s and early 2000s computer aesthetic. Like, it makes me nostalgic for a time I was never a part of, but at the same time, I do not wanna experience the 90s or 2000s.

I just like imagining the idea of coming back home from school and cozying up to my windows 95 to go on some anime board to download a bunch of 144p anime rips, without having to experience all the viruses, the dialup, the dark web videos, the war on terror, or the homophobia.

What am I gonna feel nostalgic about for the 2010s?

Like, 90s kids have all this stuff like "Oh, you weren't a true 90s kid unless every saturday you woke up and ran to your tv to watch cartoon network while still in your pjs with a bowl of just the worst diabetes-inducing cereal in hand." or "Oh, you weren't a true 90s kid unless you literally shot down your fellow classmates for playing Nintendo instead of Genesis"

Like, what am I gonna say? "Oh, you weren't a true 2010s kid unless you became obsessed with a Minecraft YouTuber who turned out to be a predator later on in life" or "Oh, you weren't a true 2010s kid unless you...had an Xbox" (I don't even know, the xbox v ps4 war was much lighter compared to the Nintendo v Genesis war)
