You! American fan of foreign or otherwise un-American media! Are you aware of the nuances and cultural differences that are portrayed in that media and have an understanding that you as an outsider looking in should be careful with the lenses you analyze that media in because you have a different perspective that is not catered to?

"Oh if you advocate for X country in this conflict, if you had to choose one side of said conflict to live in with your family and children, what would you choose?"
Damn bro you really got me there, I would in fact not want to live in the country I just said is under attack, I actually don't want to be the victim of indiscriminate civilian killings. I wonder if there is a particular reason why the aggressor in this situation is a relatively safer country to live in, huh. Must be because the other side are savages and their current situation is entirely their fault.
Genuine arguments I have to hear by real people working for real media stations.
"You could've given us ample notice to prepare"
Very sorry about that, my sickness didn't give me a two-week notice either, this is honestly on them, and will not look good on their resume.
"I came in on crutches for weeks, I'm just asking for a little more effort on your part"
Crutches aren't contagious.
"It's just that everybody's working so hard..."
Good for those hard workers who aren't sick
I texted in sick today, and it's really sad that I have to put my phone on silent and just not check it cause I know for a fact that I'm gonna be getting every type of text but a "get well soon" text from my boss.
I despise the very phrase "this isn't you," because inherently, if they did this or are this, then that is them.
I was thinking about this in the context of Transphobic parents, but this phrase is a huge problem outside of that as well.
When someone is apologizing for a terrible person (e.g. an abuser) "That isn't them."
When someone is denying an ugly and active part of their personality "That isn't me."
Unless the person has been Ship of Theseus'ed or is under mind control, then that is in fact them.
Now that I'm tuckered out of Marvel, not that I was a huge fan, just of the MCU, and some of the cartoons, but very much a Spider-Man/Deadpool fan, I've been going on a huge DC binge, watching all of the good cartoons, Comics, and Movies I could've been watching instead of Marvel.
But despite how much I'm getting back into Batman, and how much I absolutely love his stories, villains, and movies, I hate Batman himself.
Can't really get behind the very idea of him. This rich broody person decided that instead of making a true change from within, he's running around in a bat costume doing ninja moves on people only to put them in a mental asylum that hasn't done a thing to actually reform them.
I also inherently disagree with his no-killing rule, when he literally has mother fuckers like the Joker who's killing masses of people to try to prove a point to him that he should've killed him already.
The only Batman stories where I feel Bruce Wayne works as a character are the grounded detective ones where we can assume he's the only hero there because anytime he's having trouble finding people in the universes where the Justice League are there, then why isn't he calling on the Flash to help him search the city, or Superman to use his super hearing?
and Jason Todd was right to be mad.
