Your Eyes Are Not Deceiving You, That Is In Fact A Clean Gross Blue Heron. I Am Not Exactly Sure How

Your eyes are not deceiving you, that is in fact a clean Gross Blue Heron. I am not exactly sure how this happened, because these terrible birds never intentionally bathe. Perhaps it was unlawfully captive-raised by a particularly hygienic exotic animal keeper? Mysteries abound. Regardless, no matter how clean or filthy the GBHE, you should never approach or attempt to rear one as they are extremely dangerous and racist birds protected by both the MBTA and the ESA.

Aptly-named Sailwing Gulls Are An Unusually Flightless Species In Family Laridae. Thanks To Heavily-specialized

Aptly-named Sailwing Gulls are an unusually flightless species in Family Laridae. Thanks to heavily-specialized feet which act as hydrofoils, these marine-bound seabirds are capable of speeds upwards of 25 knots with a good tailwind. To increase maneuverability the feet can be stowed, allowing a Sailwing Gull to act as a traditional sailing vessel in hunting waters.

Couchs Kingbirds Can Be Found Lording Themselves Over Other Birds From Southern Texas All The Way Along

Couch’s Kingbirds can be found lording themselves over other birds from southern Texas all the way along the Gulf Coast to Yucatan, Belize, and parts of Guatemala. These pompous passerines are predictably members of the Tyrant family, as evidenced by their disdain for birds of lower social status and tendency to issue punitive edicts in response to unrest. Currently they are mortal enemies with Hooded Warblers, who are rumoured to be exiled cousins seeking revenge and liberation.
