This is kind of an addition to my last post

*Matt is representing Jessica Jones against someone who is being represented by Jennifer Walters. All hell breaks loose for some reason and Jen turns into the Hulk*

Matt: *slight fear* Jessica what the fuck am I sensing???

Jessica: I don't even know dude.

Matt: *trying to figure out wtf is going on while also being annoyed because he can't do shit right now with all these people here*

Jessica: *Placing herself between Matt and the chaos knowing full well he can handle himself but everyone else in the court doesn't so now she has to "protect" this dumbass lawyer who can totally defend himself*

Jessica: Calm the fuck down I got this.

Matt: *opens his mouth to protest*

Jessica: Don't you fucking dare out yourself, I got this covered congrats you're just a helpless blind lawyer now.

Matt: *glaring* I am not helpless!

Jessica: Thats why I told you, you fucking idiot! If you were helpless I wouldn't have had to say it! Now shut up!

Matt: *Sulks*

Jennifer: *listening to them bickering knowing full well who Matt is because of 4th wall breaking powers* Hey guys! What are you arguing about?

Jessica: *still standing protectively in front of Matt* My lawyer's an idiot

Matt: *offended noise*

Matt: Can someone please tell me what's going on?!

Jessica: Well she's like two feet taller now and green.

Matt: *visible confusion*

Jen: no no she's right

Matt: ha ha guys real funny to fuck with the blind guy

Jen: What? no we're not. I'm She-Hulk.

Matt: Haha Ya right Hulk's don't grow big and turn green.

Jen:...

Jessica:...

Everyone:...

Jessica: Dude what the fuck do you think a Hulk is???

Matt: *defensively* a really strong guy

ngl at this point my hopes for this show are very low (I know Charlie and Jon will act the fuck out of it and do the best they can tho) 

Just to clarify it seems Elden and Deborah are still “unconfirmed” for DD:BA I assume they aren’t coming back but everything I’ve read is not giving any clear information, even the article that says they aren’t coming back isn’t saying anything 100%

It says they are not expected to return, marvel is sneaky as fuck and I don’t want to believe anything at this point

Literally all of this! There is not enough NB Foggy content and we deserve more. 

Non binary Foggy Nelson thoughts/headcanons

-They came up with the nickname foggy when they were little (I know in the comics Matt comes up with it but in the MCU they’ve been using the name since before Matt)

-They came out when they were really young, just by telling their family and everyone else that they aren’t a boy

-because of this their family is super accepting, it’s just part of everyone’s life

-they just have a word for it now

- they are also bisexual

-they are terrified to come out to Matt because he’s catholic

-they have a pronoun pin and are slightly relived at first that Matt can’t see it because they don’t know how he’ll respond

- They are constantly trying to subtly bring up queer topics around Matt

- It does not work because Matt can hear how fast their heartbeat gets whenever they talk about it

-He can also tell how uncomfortable they get when someone calls them “he” but he doesn’t know why so he only ever calls them Foggy

- Foggy comes out to Matt in like their second year of law school

-they come out as bi first and then non binary

-Matt doesn’t fully understand but is super supportive

-Because of everything they talk about Matt realizes that he’s also bisexual and likes He/they pronouns

- when the NB flag is created (2014) Foggy is so excited and they immediately gos to get so many of them to hang everywhere

Infantilization of Matt Murdock in Fanfiction

Ok so this is something that I’ve seen in a lot of fan fiction and it always rubs me the wrong way. I’ve read many fics where another character (Frank, Clint, Bucky, Steve, Foggy, Sam etc) call Matt “Kid” or “Boy” or talk to him like he’s a child using nicknames like “honey’ or “sweetheart” and it just is really icky to me. Matt is an adult man living on his own! These characters never call another abled character these names. I guess what i’m saying is if you’re writing a fic and you want other characters to call him that please think about it in the greater societal context. Disabled people are so often infantilized and stripped of our agency. If you do put something like that in there have Matt react to it. Have him be mad at the infantilization, just something. As someone who get infantilized a lot due to my autism its exhausting and frustrating and it makes me want to scream.   

Reacting to TLAT Reviews pt2

I saw Thor: Love and Thunder last night and my friend @marvelvibess​ just sent me these hilarious reviews of the movie. They are too good not to react to honestly.

I love this one just because of how wrong it is. A list of canon queer characters from marvel comics: Valkyrie, Korg, Maria Hill, Ayo, Aaron Fisher (Captain America of the railways), William Kaplan (Wiccan), Theodor Altman (Hulkling), Arnie Roth (Steve Roger’s best friend from the 40s and one of the the inspirations for Movie!Bucky), Tony Stark (never officially says but it is heavily implied, here is a good post on it) Yelena Belova, and those are just the 10 I can think of off the top of my head. In fact marvel has a comic called “Marvel Voices: Pride” that is all short comics about many of its queer and trans super heroes!  

Also, the thing about Disney making stuff queer for the money really bugs me because its literally the exact opposite. Marvel is straight washing their characters for the movies because they’re afraid it won’t sell otherwise. Money and capitalism is why it is taking so long for us to get the good queer rep we want/need.

The overall story was all over the place because of the constant narrative cut scenes, and with propaganda littered throughout the whole movie of LBGTQ+ness it is another reminder of how superheros can’t just be super.

The different representations of the other gods was pretty sad of 2022, and with the whole conflict of the movie being about the “god butcher’ he should have left more of a lasting impression on the characters in the movie. Instead to me all i got was “boggie man” and that was a bit of a downer compared to other more well developed characters. If the original Norse mythology is on your radar there were a couple of fun quips referencing them. However, your beloved characters from Thor Ragnarok end up being drivers for the problems in this world and supporting it, and that is not my cup of tea. end image description}

It’s 4th of July. On account of America being a raging dumpster fire I don’t think it should be celebrated right now (an argument could be made that it never should be celebrated honestly). So I am happy to announce that I will be acknowledge today as Steve Rogers birthday and nothing else. Happy birthday Steve!
