[ Recommendation for Living Abroad, Part 1 ]

There are a few reasons why I’m dedicated to living abroad.

One of them is that it’s a great way to start a whole new life.

What does that mean?

It’s obvious, but when we move abroad, the environment around changes completely.

We don’t understand the language, we can’t read the signs.

We don’t know how to ride the subway or the bus, and how to shop at the supermarket.

We don’t even know how to cross the street.

Even if we have looked up the information beforehand, it’s totally different in person.

When I first arrived in France, I was in the same situation as this one.

We don’t know which end is up, and we can’t do anything on our own.

I had no home to live in, no job, and almost no one I knew.

At first glance, it seems like a pretty hopeless situation.

But did I really despair in this situation ?

The answer is no.

In fact, I felt like the opposite.

I couldn’t help but enjoy the situation.

Why is that?

I thought about it.

And the answer I came up with was, Because I’m back in the world of my childhood.

What does that mean?

It means that the world around me became like the world I felt when I was a child.

When we were kids, we were all interested in the world around us.

The world was full of new things.

Children become happy, entertained and amused by little things.

That’s because there are new discoveries and new experiences that they don’t know about.

That’s why the world was so bright and shiny.

But as we grow up, we forget that feeling.

We get so used to everything that we think we know everything about the world.

We no longer feel the excitement of discovering something new or experiencing something new.

Living and traveling abroad can give us that feeling again as adults.

When we’re abroad, even the smallest of things can impress us immediately.

The first time we bought a ticket and got on the subway, the first time we took a bus, the first time we went shopping in the supermarket, the first time we said hello to someone.

It’s the little things that we no longer feel when we’re in our country that impress us so much when we’re abroad.

When I rode a bike for the first time in Paris, I was so moved that I almost cried.

I’m riding a bike abroad right now !

In such a world of continuous emotions, is there really such a thing as despair ?

I can clearly say that I’ve had only fun after I arrived in France.

Of course, there have been many hardships.

But even such difficulties can be a good flavor to enjoy the life depending on how we think about it.

Life and games are the same.

A life without any difficulties or hardships is like a video game where the only thing we see from the beginning to the end is slime on a plain.

It’s interesting because it has difficult dungeons and tough enemy characters.

And that’s the way humans have evolved.

People in ancient times evolved to this point by having new adventures and challenges, going to new places and making new discoveries.

And humans today are not the final stage of evolution.

We are always evolving.

We are still in the middle of evolution.

And what is necessary for that evolution is “inspiration”.

Human evolution will stop if we don’t have “inspiration”.

What we need to be “inspired” is “adventure, challenge and change”.

A stable mindset that rejects change is an illusion created by modern society.

Human beings are never “impressed” by stability.

Humans are naturally curious beings in need of “inspiration” all the time.

Just as the ancient people were.

To not change is to be rotten.

We are all like flowing water.

The longer we stay in the same place, the more we rot.

The reason I recommend living abroad is because it is the easiest and most intense way to experience that “excitement”.

If we can be “impressed” by it, we don’t have to be living abroad, but we can do anything we want.

Trying new things and discovering new things.

In this way, we humans are able to feel joy.

Stability is not joy, but ease.

Humans are beings that want to make things easy.

When I’m not careful, I’m in danger of being swallowed up by this “ease”.

Often challenges are accompanied by difficulty and fear.

It is “easier” to stay the same and not change.

But “ease” doesn’t bring us joy or excitement.

But the reality is that our difficulties and fears are delusions created by our own minds.

If we take the first step, we will realize that in reality, such difficulties and fears do not exist, but are filled with joy and excitement.

Before I started living abroad, I was afraid of foreign countries and people.

But when I had the courage to start living abroad, I found that it was not a place where foreigners were scary, but a world where everything around me was just like what I used to experience when I was a child, where everything was inspiring and sparkling.

All it takes is a handful of courage to take that first step.

Once we have that, there is a wonderful world full of inspiration.

Please, everyone, let’s be inspired by many things and evolve together.

I also challenge myself to try new things every day, and I live my life being “impressed” every day. Instagram @ismaera_intestine

Now that Trump’s out of office, I’ve noticed that my dad picks less fights and is overall a better guy. Also now that Rush Limbaugh is dead ☠️

It did get so bad tho that I (& my mom) had to do this and honestly it’s effing sad.
