Im Rewatching The Extended Hobbit Today And I Forgot How Precious Kili Is. He Is Pretty. He Is Slighty

Im rewatching the extended hobbit today and i forgot how precious kili is. He is pretty. He is slighty intimidating/epic looking when he fights. He has a good sense of humour. He might find starlight cold and distant but he is pure sunlight trapped in a body. And his laugh...😢 He is so precious its not funny

(Also side note but kili starting to struggle with his leg and the poison and no one noticing at first :( poor baby)

YOU'RE SO RIGHT. I literally have rewatched An Unexpected Journey so many times just to analyze the behaviors and traits of each individual dwarf and I use the notes when I'm struggling with characterization!! here's some I have for kíli:

He's the youngest of the group, only around 10-17 when the attack on Erebor and major displacement happened, so because of that I imagine he either doesn't remember it or didn't grow up in Erebor

He's an optimist at heart, always encouraging the group to lighten up by placing his faith in others (we see this by him standing up for Gandalf and Bilbo at dinner)

"You forget we have a wizard on our side! Gandalf would have slayed hundreds of dragons in his time!"

He's so honest and genuine despite a bit messy (he compliments Bilbo's home, asking if he did it himself)

I hate to use this term but golden retriever energy

He even tries to speak up for Bilbo when they say he isn't very burglary???

He's so fiercely loyal to fault like UGH

I love him

Hii 😊 I'm new to your blog and extremely nosy so can I ask who are your fav dwarves? And lotr characters? Also just randomly do you have a fav middle earth location? (Mine is anywhere where boromir is hahaa and the shire)

I can't really pick a fav dwarf myself, they come as a set 🤣 but like if I had to pick strictly on attractiveness 👀fili lol no joke would marry him tomorrow if I could even if it was only for one day and then smaug incinerated me

Do you have any ships or crossover ships for the erebor gang? I don't really care for ships cuz I have a hard time visualising my fav with anyone that isn't me 😂 but, and listen I don't really know why, but I somewhat ship Captain Jack Sparrow and Kili.

The mere idea of Kili dandering on into the lonely mountain while Jack stumbles in after him like a drunk deer not used to solid ground, eyeing all the gold and poor Kili having to try introduce him to Thorin and Dis, Thorin so not approving bcuz Jack's probably got his pockets full of stuff that isn't his and Thorin can smell trouble and Jack fckin reeks of it, and Gandalf in the background almost dying on his pipe smoke because so help all of Middle Earth if he has to babysit those two complete morons. And y'know Kili aboard the black pearl during a storm absolutely entirely drowned on the deck ngl he'd make a pretty pirate. Ultimately I don't think they'd actually work cuz I can't see Jack wanting life on land and Kili would miss the dwarves and the mountains but its a fun almost ship

Anyways my lady apologies for my intrusion of your ask box and all the nonsense I've just left there but I cannot get the hobbit/potc out of my brain of recent, as mentally banjaxed as it is I have spent the past three days straight (it's been way longer than that shhh) imagining that I'm part of the company and Fili's wife 😅

as far as my favorites of the dwarves go, I absolutely adore kíli, fíli, bofur and nori!! they're all amazing and I love the deeper look the production vlogs give you for them <3 I'm also a big fan of Frodo in particular, he's so surreal as a tortured character and I love his character arc throughout the movies.

if I could go anywhere in all of middle-earth, I'd definitely have to say Erebor and Rivendell. they're just absolutely stunning locations and I would do anything for the chance to witness such splendor! the shire is also a personal favorite of mine :)

as far as ships with the Erebor gang, I love Thorin and Bilbo. despite Martin Freeman not liking fans seeing queerness with his characters, he ironically plays queerness very well. though I'm not really crazy about crossover ships if I'm being honest, but definitely more power to those that adore them.

also, just a quick note that I'm not a lady! but I'm so glad you seem to be enjoying my work and my blog and it's always lovely to chat with those that enjoy things in common interest <3 daydreaming really comes in clutch when you wanna imagine marrying your favorite dwarf :)

i’m 20 years old, i love theatre and plays and i even write my own, and i love the outdoors but i also need days where i dwell inside. i LOVE anything water related (probably because i’m also a cancer) and my favorite season is winter. :) who do you match me with?

Bilbo Baggins! Hear me out.. he wrote a whole book about his travels with the company, I have a feeling he wrote other things as well

- You and Bilbo have your work desks in the same room, you are usuallly working on writing a play for the local theatre, and sometimes asking him to read it over for you. All the while Bilbo is going back and forth between watching you write (because for some reason I feel like you make a cute little face when you write) and trying to write his own story

- On the days where it is nice, you and him sit outside under the oak tree he planted. He brings out a blanket for you to sit/lay on while he sits on the bench you and him made or visa versa

- also, he does sketch a bit, when you asked him about his travels to and from Erebor (whether you went with him or not) he would show you some of the ones he had made on his travels. Now, most of them are of you. One of his favorites is of you smiling in the water, it was from the time you were beckoning him to join you in the stream. His most favorite one, that you have seen because it is framed on his desk, is of you sitting at your desk while writing

- For some reason I’d like to believe there is a little stream/creek near his home. So often times you go on your own little walks and when he doesn’t join you he stays home preparing tea and some biscuits.

- Also you cannot tell me that Bilbo doesn’t have a collection of scarves he made, because before he wrote, be knitted/crocheted. So I think that he enjoys making sure you are all bundled up before you go out in the winter. Now he doesn’t like the cold, but how can he hate it when you come home with wind kissed cheeks and nose.
