Well alright then.
Not much of an actual plot on this one, it's probably be more of a road trip/slice of life thingy.
For starters, it's got two different realms. One of them has folks who are called demons (because. that's why.) and they've got things going pretty well. Equivalent technology to the modern day, plus a similar level of advancement to their magic. Pretty much utopian.
They've also got 'nobles.' The reason that's in quotes is because they've got it all egalitarian now, and there's not much need for money, so these are essentially just people who are famous because their ancestors were important. There's a few people who are very interested in them, like happens with the British royal family.
Two of them are Jiri Ilce and her wife Elkira Dal, and they've got a child Morf Dalilce who's a main character. Ya know those college-aged youths, often from mildly privileged households who go backpacking around for a bit? Morf decides to do that in the other realm, because that'd be about the same kinda travel as our equivalent once you account for differences.
Once there, they hire the other two main characters, Tarrgven and Flitzkel who have been friends for some time already. This is before character development, so the given reasons are that Tarrgven looks strong and Flitzkel looks amusing. They journey, and that's the story.
The world in which they do so is at more of a generically fantastical rose-colored-glasses Medaevel period. Waterwheels and handcrafted bridges with trolls under, all that jazz.
Tarrgven is a amiable, if shy, individual who grew up on a farm. He's in a relationship with a fellow who I refer to, despite length, as Steve the gamer goblin. Don't question how he's a gamer with the stated level of technology, I don't know either.
Flitzkel meanwhile does look rather humorous, even if it was impolite to say so. His species is devoid of arms and greatly fluffy, rendering the appearance of an orb atop two legs. The local tendency is for a pattern resembling honeybees, alternating between orangeish and black. Their tendency as a culture is to be social to the point of approaching eusociality, with interconnected burrows and cooperative hunting.
Sorry for organizing this terribly, any questions?
I'm never quite certain of anything. For all I know there's weird shit happening.
Just so everyone knows, in this blog (phrasing is meant to be like in this house we or whatever, just giving an introduction) we
eagerly await true AI (that's when it's people, ChatGPT is worthless garbage)
appreciate clever critters (corvids [obviously, look at the blog title {i can do as many parentheticals as i want, and you can't stop me}], octopi, orangutans)
are weird and nerdy about various media
have a mix of fear and disdain for chimpanzees
and make polls sometimes
Also, if you feel comfortable doing so, feel free to leave comments, or notes, or whatever they are! I'll always read them, and there's a decent chance I'll respond
Feel free to send asks, if they're reasonable they've got a decent chance of answers
Reblog policy: Do whatever, I'm like 90% percent sure i'm not a cop
Play by the rules, folks.
News headlines are so ominous sometimes...
