A beautiful death |Hanahaki au

Summary: your group is hanging with the nct members but something happens and you cough up flower petals. You had what was usually known in fanfic or anytime of stories hanahaki.

Only your members knew but nct found out and so did many other people.

Genre: angst, lil bit of happy at the end

Note: I don’t know much about this type of au so please correct me if I’m wrong! Thank you~

you fall, coughing badly alerting the people around you, as blood covered petals escape your mouth.

your sobs are muffled as your leader brings you into a hug, stroking your hair as if it would comfort you from your feelings. “shhh it’s going to alright...”

shaking your head, you pull away once more before coughing out more red petals as a feeling of dread washed over you. “it’s not... it looks like my time is up,” the nct members looked frightened and shocked as the situation became more serious, your members screaming for help.

“what’s happening?” chuckling you look at the idols that rush in to the room looking worried, as your ceo also rushes in but one glance at your state he looks upset. “you know i didn’t think that my time would end like this,” more red petals come out of your mouth.

“you can’t go not now,” you glance at the person who you fell in love with.

his beautiful eyes luring you in with his cute smile sending your heart somewhere where it couldn’t escape, it wasn’t his fault, it was yours for letting yourself fall in love yet at the same time it was no ones fault.

the disease runs in the family as your mother died from it leaving you with a stepmother, trying to act like your mother, for so long you put up a wall to not fall in love but it all went to waste as soon as you met jaemin.

“it sad really, flowers are beautiful but who knew that they could cause so much damage to a person,” a pressure builds up in the back of your throat leaving you in immense pain.

“not now please! we still have to do so much more and finish that bucket list of yours!” the vocal of your group soomi pleads, sending her a weak smile you beckoning over nct, exo etc.

“you guys don’t forget me now okay? behave too and don’t let anyone bring you down because everyone here is talented and important! i’ll see you guys soon.”

more bloody petals came out of your mouth, sobs escape your members mouth, the nct members especially the dreamies were holding back tears. “yah! you better make it big and not disband the group just because of this, maybe make a song about me... just kidding! you guys are the best and don’t let anyone bring you down.”

the sound of a siren comes closer but it’s ignored as your state gets worse, more red petals come out with blood and thorns. “please don’t save me or anything because I don’t want to forget the one person that I love, I want to remember them as I die.”

suddenly your body starts to shake as more blood escapes your mouth, your eyes feeling heavy but ignoring the shouts to fight you close them.

your heart stops and the ambulance was too late to save you.

the news of your death was released, it shocked many but it broke everyones heart but the two most devasted were your group and the dreamies.

now here they were at where every idol was, your funeral, no family members whatsoever but it was okay as a speech was about to start.

“thank you all for coming,” your leader spoke,”it’s a heartbreaking moment to all of us to be here at a funeral of an amazing person who didn’t deserve to die.

y/n was a brave, sweet, caring human and so much more but today we are here to give our final goodbyes and listen on what y/n wanted to say but didn’t have the time.” no one could describe the feeling that they had at that moment, losing another idol, inspiration but most importantly a friend who did so much for them.

for the past two hours there were talks, idols coming up and going down as they spoke about the best moments they had with you. every group got chocked up and started to cry, now it was time to read what you had left for everyone and what you wanted to say.

“hello everyone, i know by the time you read this i’ll be gone and many of you will be confused on how i died, well let me tell you that i died of something called hanahaki.” no one has ever heard of the hanahaki.

“the hanahaki is when you cough up flowers, not all flowers are deadly but i was unfortunate and got the deadliest one, roses. so i suffered from this because of one sided love, if your wondering who it is i’ll tell you soon.” 

‘not all flowers are deadly but i was just unfortunate’ the words pondered through everyone's mind.

“i don’t want any of yous to think that it was someones fault because it wasn’t, it was my fault to let my barriers down to the person but yet it wasn’t, also the person that i fell for it isn’t your fault either.” spoke your leader with a shaky breath before speaking the next two words.

“na jaemin,” various of gasps are heard, jaemin’s eyes widening in shock while the dreamies look at each other especially jaemin in disbelief.

“i love you with all my heart,” there was a pause, “you were the best thing that happened to me and I don’t you to think that your the one to blame because your not.”

“i died while remembering and i’m okay with that, you lured me in with your cute smile and laughs with your stupid blush everytime I called you oppa, honestly i’m glad that you were the one i fell in love with.” jaemin swallowed, he didn’t love you like that as he already had his other significant who you were great friends with.

“you already have someone i know but sometimes, that doesn’t stop me from feeling guilty of falling in love with you while you already have someone to love,” the nct members chocked up at your apology even though you did nothing wrong.

“i want everyone to know that i died happily as i still remember the one i love, i want everyone to not become too depressed over my death instead i want you to smile, and remember everything we did together as a family.”

“remember don’t hide your feelings, why not tell them before it’s too late so you can move on,” smiling at the advice they became silent as the last words are spoken.

“that is all i have to say other than i love yous all, thank you for everything,” sobs fill the hall as your group mates cry in vain of your death.

now everyone was visiting your grave while leaving flowers, the first group were exo.

“y/n, we want you to know that you were a little sister to us and we love very much,” after suho had spoken they spoke for five more minutes before another group came in.

the final group was nct, they all piled in saying their speeches before it came to na jaemin.

“y/n, if i could i would told that a long time ago you were my crush and i love you so much, i’m sorry for not realising sooner but i hope you have a peaceful after life.” jaemin wiped his tears, getting emotional quickly.

“every single memory will be remembered and my first daughter will be named after you, i wish you were still here and i’ll visit your grave whenever i can,” placing down a bouquet of blue bells which were your favourite flowers.

soon after, you group made it big and jaemin had a daughter named y/n and a son named rio, he was true to his wishes and visited you whenever he could with his wife and kids.

his wife felt upset that you had to die and felt that she was the one to blame, but jaemin reassured her that it wasn’t.

you were content with watching them in your afterlife, checking in on your members too and other idols leaving blue bells, as a sign that you were there with them.

everything was going alright and how you wanted it to go.
