@amazingmewtwo  Your AU gave me some serious feels, Kirby is the first game I ever played and Undertale gives me so many good vibes.  I took some liberties with the design, hope you don’t mind.  METAlovania is an A+ pun too.

Catharsis

Yesterday I finally confirmed what I’d always known, that there was an illness brewing within me.  Instead of just knowing I’m sick, I have my enemy’s name.  Cushing’s Syndrome.

This syndrome is fairly rare, clocking in at about 200,000 cases per year in the US.  It is caused by an excess of cortisol resulting from dysfunction of the pituitary gland, usually due to a benign tumor.  It causes a range of symptoms, such as:

-Severe depression

-Unusual stretch marks

-Fatigue

-Weight gain, mostly around the midsection, upper back, shoulder blades and face

-Acne

-Cognitive dysfunction

While I’d really rather not have my pituitary fucking me up it’s nice to know I was right.  I wasn’t imagining these things.  And I implore everybody to never give up.  If you know something is wrong, keep at it, you know when you’re sick.  Fight for your health, don’t let something eat away at you.

I’ll be keeping a log of my progress to ease my mind a little.  Perhaps it will be interesting.
