Question to my IE Mutuals/Followers

Do you even saw the Aliea kids as...siblings? or do you see them as "family" but without the "they all are siblings" and actually depends the characters?? I'm just curious since I remember the [silly] discussion about why you should/shouldn't ship them.

a ramble about being disappointed in artists for switching fandoms/drawing oc content

I had a very unpleasant experience over on this blog yesterday so I figured I should speak out about it (thought I doubt many would read this seeing as Tumblr is just. dead. but alas)

I understand being disappointed when artists change fandoms or drop projects, but please don’t pressure them into making content that you want to see. I think it’s just really mean and entitled to be that way.

People change interests all the time. 

It’s okay to feel disappointed or sad that an artist you liked stopped drawing that one comic or stopped drawing fan art. But don’t go out of your way to shame them for it.

I used to think that my art had no value if my followers didn’t like it. So drawing whatever I wanted without feeling guilty took a lot of courage to get used to. Hell, I still feel bad posting original stuff because it’s never well received compared to the days where I shat out soulless fanart. I have to keep smacking myself and tell myself that it’s MY opinion that matters, not anybody else’s.

So getting asks or comments about how people enjoy 2.0/8SEN/Fanime stuff mean the world to me. This particular person I blocked yesterday trampled over a positive ask I got and basically yelled at me for starting a new project without finishing an old one from 2016. That was annoying.

Anyways, moral of the story: Your feelings are valid if you are disappointed/sad that an artist switched fandoms / isn’t drawing things you like anymore.

However, that doesn’t give you the rights to shame the artist- they are NOT catering to YOU in particular. The unfollow button is right there. Don’t shame the artist, just stop being a baby and move on.

And side note: To my followers who follow me regardless of what I post, you are angels and I appreciate you the most.
