Apologies for the lack of posting. I’m currently working on chapter two for Hollowed Grove. I work for the city pool where I live as a cashier, and it being summer, it’s our popular season, and we just lost a cashier, so I’m working double. But I’ve got ideas and plans for this fanfic series, and I hope you’re as excited as I am. 

Has anyone else had trouble posting a story on here? I’ve tried it on mobile and desktop. And I can’t post a series I want to share with you guys. It’s driving me crazy. It says I’ve posted the longest length possible. And I can’t post it.

Hallowed Grove

Part One of Chapter One

BUZZ. BUZZ. BUZZ. BUZZ. I search blindly for my phone. Fingers are vigorously tapping, trying to end the annoying sound. I sigh, trying to enjoy this little moment I have to myself before it’s necessary for me to get up for work. I slowly get up, getting ready for yet another day. I picked out a new cute floral dress I got myself because spring is on the horizon. I put on some cute sandals and quickly shoved a croissant in my mouth. Grabbing my purse, I ran out the door. I make my way to the subway, putting in my AirPods and drowning out my thoughts and any external noise. I shouldn’t be late, so Scar shouldn’t be too upset. I do like to get to the café and help her open it, even though she always insists that I shouldn’t and that she has it. Even though I know those creepy old guys like to hang around until she opens, something flickering in my peripheral vision catches my attention. But there’s nothing there—just the windows and the people waiting. But it happens again in the same place. Then across on the other side, by the window. It’s like the outside is... Glitching? I look around to see if anyone else is seeing what I’m seeing, but it’s like they can’t see it. I hurriedly look around. How is the outside glitching and no one can see this? And then it happens: a bright light outside flashes, and everything is still. I’m dead, and this is it. My eyes start to adjust, and I’m no longer in the subway. Instead, I’m in a lush, beautiful forest. Birds chirping, butterflies, and twinkling lights floating. There are so many flowers all around, with a beautiful waterfall flowing into a lake. I’m standing there, trying to take this all in. I was on the subway, not minutes before. And now I’m here? Where was here? I’m dreaming; that’s what’s happening. This is all a dream, an illusion. I turn in circles. Right now, I’ll pinch myself. I’ll wake up in the subway, and it’ll be okay. I pinch the top of my forearm. Pain immediately ran through my forearm. “Ouch!” I quickly flick my wrist and hand, trying to alleviate any discomfort. I notice a pair of eyes looking at me from the lake. They realize I’m looking back at them. “Who are you?” The eyes ask, squinting in suspicion. “My name is Y/N. Could you help me? I’m a little confused as to how I got here. Where am I?” I ask, holding myself nervously. He pushes himself up onto his forearms, so now I can see more of his face. He had gorgeous, long, dark, pickled blue wood hair with strings of pearls hanging from it. With more pearls around his neck. Multiple pearl necklaces looping his neck. And the most stunning dark blue eyes. “This is Hallowed Grove. Home to many unique magical creatures.” “Hallowed Grove?” I repeat while looking around, still questioning reality, if that’s what you could call this. I finally look back at him. “What’s your name? You know mine; I’d like to know yours.”
