I start to slowly move towards him cautiously. I can see a slight smile on his face as I do so. “I’m Hoseok. It’s lovely to meet you, Y/N. You said you don’t know how you got here. Are you a human? From the human world?” He asks with a stern but confused expression. I sit on a rock a bit closer to him, but not close enough, just in case I need to make a quick getaway. “Yes? Yes, I’m human. Have you never met a human before?” I wasn't really expecting that question about whether I’m a human, but my answer did not sound very confident. "No, none of us have.” Us? So there are others, then? I wonder how many others call this place home. He suddenly gets out of the water, scaring me making me jump a bit. Catching me mid-thought. I can see a tail?! Which then quickly disappears, and?! “Oh my gosh!!” I quickly look away, covering my eyes and turning my body the other way. I can’t believe that just happened. My cheeks are most definitely pink. “You’ve never seen a merman?” He asks with a befuddled sounding tone. “A merman? Like mermaids, but a man? I thought they only existed in fairytales.” So merpeople exist here in the hallowed grove. I wonder what other creatures are here. “You can look now; I have clothes on.” He said I turned to see him standing there in a white tunic top and slimming trousers, accentuating his muscular thighs. My cheeks are growing red in embarrassment from staring. I hear a chuckle from his direction. I looked at him to see what was funny, but he was just looking at me with an amused look. “Who is your friend, Hoseok?” Another voice asked, but this voice was nice and a little deep. I look over my shoulder to see a man wearing an apricot tunic with brown pants tucked into laced-up boots with wings. He had flowers on the shoulders of his top and glitter on his cheeks and collar bones. Beautiful blonde hair. "Tae, this is Y/N, the human. Y/N, this is Tae.” Hoseok gestures to both of us. “It’s lovely to meet you, Y/N.” He glides towards me, taking my hand and drawing it to his lips, pressing a gentle kiss on the back of it. Never ceasing eye contact. “She doesn’t know how she got here. I was just about to take her to Namjoon.” Hoseok said this while rolling his eyes at Tae’s actions. "Right, because he would know how to get her back to the human world. Well, until we meet again, sweet surrender.” He looked into my eyes, the pet name catching me off guard and making me blush. He smiled and flew off into the trees. I continued to look in that direction, where he flew off. Still in awe of a charming and forward man. “Now let’s find Namjoon. Shall we?” Hoseok offers me his hand, pulling me up off the rock. I follow him down a winding, narrow path that turns to a river, my eyes following it until it becomes a bayou of sorts. Huge trees with roots sticking out lining the shoreline, with more fireflies dancing across the water and crickets chirping. Hoseok just stands at the edge of the shore, looking at the water. When a man appears well, just his head and shoulders are on top of the surface. “Yes Hoseok?” His voice was strong, slightly intimidating, but also somehow comforting. He notices me standing behind Hoseok. “Who do you have with you?” He turns himself more to the side to get a better look at me. “Her name is Y/N; she’s from the human world and doesn’t know how she got here. I brought her here in hopes of you being able to help bring her back home.” “I see.” He says this as he swims to the edge of the water. Hoisting himself up on a rock. I now notice he’s carrying a trident with him. A beautiful gold trident with something wrapped around it. He notices me staring at it. “My father gave me this when he died. It controls the sea; just past these trees is a magnificent ocean. All the water here is connected to her.” He turns to look at both of us. “I’m afraid I can’t help you get back to the human world.” We both look at him, confused. “Why not? You seem very powerful. I can’t imagine that you couldn’t get me home.” He smiles. “I’m honored you think so, and I’m touched by your confidence in me. But I’m afrai

Has anyone else had trouble posting a story on here? I’ve tried it on mobile and desktop. And I can’t post a series I want to share with you guys. It’s driving me crazy. It says I’ve posted the longest length possible. And I can’t post it.

Apologies for the lack of posting. I’m currently working on chapter two for Hollowed Grove. I work for the city pool where I live as a cashier, and it being summer, it’s our popular season, and we just lost a cashier, so I’m working double. But I’ve got ideas and plans for this fanfic series, and I hope you’re as excited as I am.
