I don't think I've realized how much writers on tumblr love mythology/fairytale retellings :o. But it's actually so nice to meet people who have common interests as I do! I'm trying to delve into fantasy again, so if you have any books you love based on a retelling, I'd love to check it out!

Frankenstein... I still don't know how to feel about that book haha. Maybe it's because I was forced to read it, but I think I'll have to go back and see. I've actually talked about it a bunch with another writer, and I see why it's so popular? I don't know, I liked Jane Eyre enough haha, that had a bit of gothic elements.

contemporary romances >>>. but fantasy books like Six Crimson Cranes have really been making me wonder what genre I'm in love with haha. vibrant characters are honestly the best. I keep thinking that I like soft-spoken characters, but strong personalities who are having dilemmas in life are just the best to read about, because their emotions just feel more raw to me (also because they get in so much more trouble, which is obviously great to read).

hmmmm. have you read The Love Hypothesis. ALSO- if you love romance, read Mariana Zapata. she is literally my favorite author, and I love her writing style! From Lukov with Love is an enemies to lovers, and the girl is such a badass, and I cried reading the book. It was a masterpieces, I swear! You've Reached Sam is also just so, so good.

STOPPPPPP. DID THEY MEET AGAIN AFTER A FEW YEARS? WHAT IS THE PREMISE OF THIS?

that feeling when you can finally fit the random piece of dialogue you wrote months ago into the actual story really is unmatched
