Oh, Yeah, The Notion Of An Official Marauders Series Gives Me The Creeps Hahahaha I Have Zero Interest

Oh, yeah, the notion of an official marauders series gives me the creeps hahahaha I have zero interest in that. The good in fandom is the multitude of interpretations we have: through the years I've read so many good takes on the marauders, and it made my love for the characters grow and evolve. TLE is one of those that really makes me see the characters I love in new ways and it feels like an improved HP to me. So thank you so much for that, CH! ❤️

Honestly, I share you impopular opinion. I was obssessed with the first two movies, but while I recognize Cuaron's great directing skills, I just never liked movies 3-8... For me Harry Potter Canon is still just books 1-7.

Given that you've made what is widely considered the marauders canon, how would you feel if a marauders spin-off was ever announced? I don't think it'll ever happen, but I'm conflicted. Obviously don't want to support JK but am curious how they'd handle it.... but also you did it so perfectly already, why would they need to do it again? I would honestly be upset at any deviation from your writing, but curious how you'd feel personally!

Sometimes I awake in the middle of a night in a cold sweat, the words “JKR announces Marauders prequel” haunting my dreams….Okay that’s an exaggeration, but yeah I have absolutely no interest in an official marauders series. 😂

To be honest, apart from my own love of marauders, I wouldn’t want it just because I honestly don’t want any new HP material. I haven’t watched the FB movies, I don’t plan to play the game. Frankly, I never even liked the movies. (Unpopular opinion, I know lol) I like having my 7 book canon and building from that. I don’t need more. 😌

And while it’s so very lovely when people tell me they consider TLE part of their personal canon, I do just want to say that I definitely don’t see myself writing the marauders canon! The wonderful thing about this fandom is that there’s so much room for so many incredible interpretations and retellings based on the very limited information we have. I think it would be such a shame if any story — be it official or fandom — squashed any of that creativity. ❤️

I feel like I’ve probably rambled before about how I’m a writer because it’s the only way I could ever figure out how to most accurately get the images in my head out into the world. But can I just vent for a second about HOW ABSOLUTELY ANNOYING IT IS when said images are a perfectly cut trailer for a fanfic that currently only exists in my own head with film footage that almost certainly doesn’t exist at all. I can see it so clearly in my brain, why isn’t that enough to wish it into existence!!!! 😭😭😭
