Here’s the thing about AOS

The concept is amazing! 13/10

But the execution... let’s not talk about that

VULCANS ARE NOT UNEMOTIONAL

Vulcans are hella emotional and learn to suppress it/control it. They aren’t logical by nature, but logical by training. They have hella deep intense emotions and they discovered that the best way to approach them is to scuttle sideways across them like a crab on hot sand while shouting LOGIC which explains why a lot of vulcans make stupid ass decisions

The whole reason Vulcan exists as it does today is because Surak looked around at the old vulcans and said damn ya’ll need Buddha, but we haven’t discovered earth yet, so here, have some suppression instead

yall -

spock's smiling and laughing 🥺

this is why i love this movie so much, spock is rediscovering himself and in this moment with his closest friends he lets himself be just a little more visibly human
