The species have been named after seven Star Trek captains for their "'Star Trek'-esque calls'. Their high-pitched whistling sounds are reminiscent of 'Star Trek' sound effects like the Tricorder noises.

I’m a patron of the arts (I leave nice comments on aO3).

If I were a Starfleet captain my drink of choice would be “Diet Dr. Pepper, chilled” because I cannot function without my daily Dr Pepper.

But mostly it would just be large amounts of sparkling water with ice, I am kinda a boring gal.

If I was a Starfleet captain my drink of choice would be “Coconut water, chilled”, not only for the fun tropical vibes, (they are just an added bonus) but because I am constantly dehydrated and need electrolytes.

(Come to think of it by the 24th century they probably found a more sci-fi magic way around that)
