One of my favourite little quirks of his
Sherlock-tut-tut-Holmes

The silly
Watson is Holmes' favourite hyperfixation, and most certainly vice versa...By that I also mean that they are deeply in love.
Holmes will be likeĀ āI only remember things that are functionally or practically important to my work and forget everything that isnātā then go out of his way to memorise all of Watsonās habits and routines
I think people forget Watsonās purpose in the stories isnāt only to ask questions so that the case is revealed to the audience naturally. Watsonās purpose is also to ask questions in a way that reveals the case to Holmes. Heās not integral to Holmesās work just to stroke his ego with the stories. He has weaved his way into Holmesās mind so thoroughly that Holmes is at his best when Watson is able to lead the march.
We had superwholock. I feel like we need a fandom word for people who are really into the canon Sherlock Holmes/A.J. Raffles/ Jeeves and Wooster/ Hercule Poirot genre.
THIS! This right here is what I mean when I say that I want modern versions of Sherlock to be allowed to be emotional! Jeremy Brett did an amazing job as Holmes, and truly understood the source material.
āHolmes before and after being told heās a good boy. Iām not crying, you are. š„²
