while there were definitely things wrong with the School for Good and Evil series - I’m not denying that, nor do I want to talk about them right now, because I have to say, those books, specifically book one, did wonders for my self-confidence as a kid. reading how Agatha went from “bug-eyed” and “ghostly pale” and “greasy-haired” to “doe-eyed” and “fair-skinned” and “sleek-haired” just because she was being more confident and seeing herself in a different light changed so much for me as an anxious, shy, 12-year-old girl, and I think it’s a story everyone needs to hear in some way, to see yourself in a positive way.
I'm about to start reposting all of my old art from my deviantart account, get ready!
doomed by the narrative btw. if u even care
