You’re Perfect

Author’s Note: Yeah...I suck at titles. Sorry about that... On the bright side, this is my first completed request!

Despite what some people said about the man, you loved working for Fury. Well, except when he forced you to handle paperwork.
A frown on your face, you struggled to balance the countless papers that rested in your arms, all waiting to be filed. Each folder holding information to countless missions, leads on suspicious individuals, and background checks on recent recruits would need to be reviewed, relayed to F.R.I.D.A.Y, then placed into the cabinets that were already filled to the brim with manila folders identical to the ones you were about to add to the mix.
One day, you would be able to convince Fury to abandon this old-fashioned method. They were working with Tony for God’s sake. He would be all for throwing out the system. Plus, the Avengers and those working for them could benefit from escaping this time wasting task. Cursing once more at the man, you finally stopped, catching sight of the all too familiar broad frame of your boyfriend.
With a small grunt, you set the files on a nearby desk as you approached the meeting room he currently sat within; ready to wait outside and surprise the man you haven’t seen in days. He wasn’t supposed to be home until tomorrow, previously pulled away to yet another country who needed help defeating you knows what evil lurked nearby. Your entire demeanor changing as you took in the sight of the man who held your heart, you watched as his eyes skimmed what was undoubtedly the next mission that required Captain America’s attention.
Yet as your (e/c) eyes finally reached the blue ones you’ve been begging to see since Sunday, you frowned at the hardened expression that took over his complexion. Different from the one he often used when he entered the work place, you frowned, glancing towards the woman who was speaking at the other side of the room.
Her lips moved quickly and you thanked Fury for the extensive classes he provided for your training as one of his agents. With your added disadvantage of being eighty percent deaf, the time originally intended for an agent to grow accustomed to the patterns of the team were quickly set aside for the importance of understanding others in a time effective manner.
Besides, it wasn’t like you didn’t know the way Fury liked things preformed. You did work with him before he brought you into this project.
As your eyes quickly followed the movement of her lips, your face began to grow pale. Despite the words she uttered, you stayed rooted to the spot, taking in each of her words as she continued to convince Steve of her decision regarding the next mission…with you.
“Sir, what I’m trying to say is that (y/n) may not be the best choice for a mission with these set of qualifications. Not only will the team be separated and unable to communicate through face to face contact, the automated systems that were created to avoid sign language is not fast enough for this purpose.”
The agent caught sight of your presence, sending a subtle smirk your way as she continued her speech despite the glare that Steve sent her way. With a newfound confidence, she continued, her lips exaggerating each word as if to ensure that you would understand it.
“To be honest Captain, this mission requires strenuous activity and given the…physical…appearance of (y/n), this may not be the mission for her. I’d rather worry about the goal at hand rather than worry if my comrade jeopardizes the team by falling behind.”
You weren’t naïve. You knew that many people talked about you and the way you looked. Their need for gossip lacked a target as soon as they reached the real world, unable to find easy victims outside a typical school setting. But you were never fazed by their attempts to lower your self-esteem. With the confidence you found in your skill set, you had avoided their attempts to bring you down. But this? This was stripping you of the one thing you took pride in, questioning how effective it would be in a team that you dedicated your life to.
With a frown, you shook as you took a step back, your eyes beginning to fill with tears and expose the hurt that accompanied the agent’s lack of trust in your abilities. Not bothering to pick up the files that you previously set aside, you quickly escaped to the floor that you shared with the super solder.
Without a second glance at the meeting room, you didn’t catch the way Steve finally reached his breaking point. His hand slammed against the glass, forcing it to chip as he slowly stood, glaring at the agent that dared questioned you. He stalked closer towards her, her own feet stepping back with each one of his until her back hit the wall, leaving her as easy prey to her superior.
“Agent (y/n) has always been a major asset to the team. Unlike your false sense of superiority, she has the integrity to remain in the same position as new recruits when she could clearly advance by several ranks. If you are as concerned about her performance as you say, perhaps someone can show you her previous accomplishments so you can understand her importance. Unlike you, she can not be replaced.”
This bitter version of Steve continued as his eyes hardened, experiencing hurt for you without the knowledge that you witnessed this attack yourself.
“Additionally, agent (y/n)’s weight is none of your concern. How she looks does not define her personality and capabilities. If you fail to see that, that is your own lack of ability but I will stand to have this in the team. Report to Fury immediately and inform him to review the footage from the meeting and he may do as he sees fit. That is an order recruit and if this task is not accomplished, I will do it myself. Trust me, you don’t want that.”
With that, Steve jerked away, heading towards the door of the room without a second glance to the shocked and terrified woman he left behind. His breaths came labored as he slammed the door shut, the glass beginning to shatter as he hastily made his approach towards the elevator. With the intent of finding you immediately, he tried to push aside the emotions that erupted from his recent conversation to instead find solace in your embrace.
As his fist slammed against the button for the specified floor for the two of you, he willed himself to calm down. With quick paces across the small tiled floor of the elevator, his hands ran through his hair, pulling against the roots in a feeble attempt to relieve some of the stress.
How dare they insult his girlfriend. And in front of him? If they were that descriptive to his face, he cringed at what they were saying about his doll when he was away. With one swift punch to the metal walls, he grimaced as a dent was made on the once pristine interior.
Tony was going to kill him.
Yet as the familiar ding of the elevator finally reached Steve’s ears, he shook the small worry aside as he swiftly entered the room, his boots squeaking against the newly waxed floor. With a hope that he would find you curled up in your small alcove, reading whatever new novel you chose to indulge in that week, he froze as the soft sound of your cries filled the room. The forced noise bounced against the walls, holding him captive in his spot as the fear of what could have happened to his strong girlfriend plagued his thoughts. Without thinking any further of the ‘what-ifs’, he rushed into the bedroom, slamming the door open as his blue eyes quickly surveyed the room for you.
A breath of relief left his lips as he quickly found you on the bed, your face pressed against the pillow as your body shook with the sobs that escaped your lips. Your hands pressed the pillow to cover your ears, as if to cover your disability, making him frown as he slowly approached. He sat beside you, his weight shifting the bed with his movements and causing you to finally snap your head up to look at Steve’s concerned expression.
His hand touched your cheek softly before he pulled you to sit besides him. After a failed attempt to wipe away the tears from your face, his frown deepened as he hastily began to sign his concerns. You then hid from his gaze, looking down at the light blue comforter while signing the few words that were needed.
“I know what she said about me.”
Your sobs grew more intense as your hands dropped to your lap, beginning to twist together as you forced yourself to avoid whatever Steve would say. Would he be upset that you were spying? Would he…agree with the agent? The thought left your body numb as you thought about the man you loved expressing his lack of confidence in your ability as well.
Before you could spiral into the dark abyss of your mind, he softly moved your chin so you could face him once more. His hands moved through the air as he quickly shook his head, trying to resolve the issue before you made any drastic decisions because of the words of one silly agent.
“Doll, she was so wrong.” He paused. With one kiss to your trembling lips, he bit his own, trying to remember one sign before embarking on his impromptu speech.
“You are one of the best agents here. Anyone is lucky to have you as their ally and if they can’t see that…screw them.” You began to crack a smile at his what you knew to be intentional slip of language. You mouthed his signature phrase at him before closing your eyes, taking a deep breath before going back to pay attention to his words once more.
“I don’t know what that agent was talking about but you’re perfect. No one cares about your weight. No one cares about you being deaf. All they care about is you. Don’t you see? Natasha loves how you’re willing to spar with her. Or how you can always be the shoulder she needs when the mighty Black Widow feels down. Tony loves the way you rush to help him with his latest experiments, helping him fix the problem before an ever bigger issue arrives. Bruce loves the way you don’t treat him like a monster. Clint loves how you can find him no matter where he hides. I can go on but (y/n) don’t you see? These little things, combined with your skills as an agent, are so important. You’re the factor that brings the team together, filling the gaps to create a unified team that won’t self-combust in the middle of a fight. We need you. We need you more than you know.”
“I-“
“I need you. I don’t need just Agent (y/n) though. I want all of you. I love the way you don’t obey orders. Yes, it drives me insane but you’re so independent. I can trust you to make the right decision…even if its not the one I made. You’re strong. You’re smart. You know me inside and out. Doll, I wouldn’t have been able to make it in this century if it wasn’t for you.” Once more, Steve paused, a small smile slowly beginning to make an appearance as a soft chuckle escaped his lips.
“And I can’t begin to express how the little things you do wins my heart over and over again. Like the way you wake up early just to see me after my runs. You don’t care how early it is. You’re quick to greet me with a smile and a cup of coffee.” He didn’t need to go further. He proved his point. With that, he dropped his hands, mouthing the rest of the words as he slowly pulled you in to give you a much needed kiss.
“I love you my perfect girl.”
You’d still have to work out this problem of self-doubt later. You’d still have questions about what transpired after the meeting. You’d still need to be reassured but for now, this was enough. With your hands tangled in his hair and his lips moving gently against your own, you felt wanted. Needed.
You felt perfect.

Help!
My requests/asks are gone! :( Here I thought I was being smart and went to check my request list to see if I could try to contact the people who requested from me but I think when I went to edit it earlier, I accidentally deleted them all...
I’m such an idiot...
To whoever left me a request, I AM SO SORRY! Please send it to me again! D:

Whatever happens tomorrow, you must promise me one thing. That you will stay who you are, not a perfect soldier, but a good man.
Meeting Captain America

Warning: Edited at three in the morning (lol)
Requested by an amazing anon!
Author’s Note: I love Disneyland! After seeing this request, I was so excited yet...really scared. There are so many wonderful Disneyland stories that I wanted to do something original. Then...this happened. I tried to be funny but I think it backfired. :( Hopefully it’s not as bad as I think it is...

You weren’t embarrassed to admit that you had an obsession with Disney.
From the movies to the memorabilia, you couldn’t resist collecting them all, making your house look like a Disney museum. Once you moved in with Chris, they came with you, fitting in with his own set of collectibles that littered the house, all mixing into a room that you both had declared ‘The Disney Lair.’ Yet despite how many items were crammed within the four walls, it always grew, slowing leaking into the other rooms until it became a game within the Evans household to find the hidden Mickeys in each room.
If that wasn’t enough, it didn’t help that Disneyland was only a short drive away. As an annual passholder, you were proud to proclaim that you often visited the park especially when your boyfriend was away. You looked to the parks for comfort, letting the magic of the place heal the pain that came with a long-distance relationship. Yet despite the frequent visits you made to the Happiest Place on Earth, the news of going once more with the Evans clan was easily accepted.
To say you were excited to be at Disneyland once more would be an understatement.
Going alone was fun but getting the chance to go with the man you loved and his family was different. With them, they understood the craziness that came with a love for Disney and they openly embraced it along with you. A trip was planned months in advance, disneybound costumes were made, and the Disney puns began to increase as soon as the idea was first suggested.
Now, a few months later, here you were with them all, looking up at the iconic Sleeping Beauty castle.
With one hand tightly gripping Chris’, you quickly adjusted your Belle ears, looking down at the matching Belle disneybound outfit before turning directions for Tomorrowland. Miles leading the way, he pulled Lisa along towards the character that soon had Chris dying in laughter.
Captain America.
The face character stood proud in his Avengers costume as he struck a new pose with his latest guest, the shield placed in her hand as the little girl tried to copy the actions she had seen so often in the movies. As the shield proved to be too big for her, ‘Captain America’ easily swooped her into his arms before smiling once more towards the camera.
As you all headed to the back of the line, you let Chris have his moment as he leaned against the wall, holding his left boob. His eyes continually shifting between the excited Miles and the man who was portraying the character he often played, he kneeled down towards the boy, holding his shoulders as he spoke between his laughs.
“Bud, why do you want to meet him when the real one is right here?”
With a pause, he finally calmed down, shooting his nephew a wink before striking the same pose ‘Captain America’ had just done. His grin widened as he heard Miles giggle, the small boy simply shrugging at the question before going back to slowly watch the line diminish.
As Chris stood back up, you quickly latched onto his arm, leaning back as you spoke loud enough for the entire family to hear you tease the man.
“I don’t know babe. Maybe this is a good thing. He could teach you a thing or two.” You copied Miles’ shrug before stepping away only to be quickly pulled back into the strong embrace of your boyfriend. A gasp escaped his lips as he lay his chin on your shoulder, giving you a glimpse of his exaggerated pout from the corner of your eyes. Soft whines left his lips as his hands tightened their grip on your hips, his voice pretending to crack as he finally replied.
“How could you?”
With that, you couldn’t control yourself. You laughed, giving into the motion as your head tipped back to rest against his shoulder. Your Mickey ears falling to the ground, you then turned in his embrace, wrapping your arms around his neck as you focused on his playful blue eyes. As you paused to catch your breath, you focused on his hands rubbing your back, taking a moment to calm down before leaning in close to whisper in his ear.
“You ass. Stop making me seem like an idiot in front of your family.”
“Too late for that.”
You gasped, moving to slap his arm but he quickly caught on to your actions, stopping your hand only to bring it to his lips and kiss the back. With a smile, he shrugged before pointing to himself.
“I never said that it was a bad thing. They think you match my personality perfectly. Two idiots falling in love…what could go wrong?” Instantly, your expression softened as you looked at the genuine expression on his face. With a small nod, you quickly kissed him before teasing him one last time.
“Great way to woo the girls Evans. Call them an idiot.”
“It got you, didn’t it?”
You dramatically sighed, nodding while trying to pull away only for Chris’ grip to tighten.
“Sadly, it did.”
“You love me.”
“I do.”
“Alright love birds, stop ignoring us and get over here! We’re almost to the front.”
With Scott’s yell, Chris chuckled; his lips quickly kissing your cheek before you both moved to step forward. The line had gone by quickly, leading all of you to be one family away from meeting the star spangled superhero.
Miles stood at the front of pack, quickly running over to Captain America as soon as the cast members gestured them forward. As he stood before the costumed hero, you couldn’t help but applaud how well the actor portrayed your boyfriend. With gusto, he tried to get your boyfriend’s nephew to enjoy his short time with him.
If only it didn’t backfire.
With each word that left the man’s lips, Miles’ frown deepened, his head quickly looking between the confused man and his uncle. With a gesture to make the actor kneel before him, he whispered in ‘Captain America’s’ ear. Despite his attempts to stay quiet, everyone around them heard, sending them all into a fit of laughter.
“Mommy says it’s not nice to be mean but…you’re not really Captain America. My uncle is.”
Finally, the man broke character; glancing at the family before he froze once he saw the actual representation of his character. A light pink dusted his cheeks as he stumbled back while trying to find something to say to this odd situation. His eyes looking to the cast members, they appeared to be as flustered as him as they openly stared at the actor that stood beside them.
With one more laugh, you pushed Chris forward, letting him handle the situation as he quickly picked up Miles.
“This, I need a picture of. Captain America meets Captain America? Classic. Come on guys, help me out here.” Instantly, every member of the family pulled out their phones as they took pictures of now posing trio. They all suppressed their laughs, hoping to not make any more of a scene.
After snapping a few yourself, you quickly escaped, avoiding the formalities while going to find an ice cream stand to reward your charming boyfriend. With your wallet ready, you began to stand in yet another line. With Chris’ Twitter pulled up, you started the tweet you knew he would want to no doubt post as you slowly crept closer to the cart.
Soon, you ordered enough ice cream to feed the army. Your wallet pulled out to pay, you sighed as a hand quickly beat you to it though. As you gathered the treats, you quickly tossed the phone to Chris, letting him finish the message as you walked away from him once more. Only this time, he caught you.
His hands placing the food on the ledge beside you, he dragged you into the corner of the building before pulling you in for the kiss that was long overdue. His hands holding your cheeks, he pulled you in close, a soft moan escaping his lips before he finally pulled away. His breath labored, he flicked you on the head, giving you another pout as he moved to hold your hand tightly.
“Stop running away from me.”
“I didn’t want to ruin the moment you were having with the staff. I swear…I thought they were going to pass out.” He smirked, kissing your forehead softly.
“I’m all yours now.”
You smiled, pulling back to kiss his lips quickly before gesturing to the already melting ice cream bars.
“As much as I love to hear that, we only have…” You paused, looking at your watch as your eyes widened. “…thirty minutes until Mickey and the Magical Map begins.”
He smiled, motioning towards their linked hands before giving a grand sweep of the area.
“Lead the way.”
