   Merlin regretted saying it when you turned to stare at him. Sweat beaded on his forehead when you turned your body all the way to face him in your chair. You smoothed your clothes into place, crossed your ankles, and folded your hands in your lap. You were a perfect picture of the genteel lady. That generally wasn’t a good sign. Your eyes pinned him in place.

   “And what makes you think -I- share, Hamish, darling?”

   You come over to him and he has to force himself to remain still and not lean away like his instincts are telling him to. You take his face in your hands and trace over a line between his brows with a thumb. “Maybe you need some reassurance.”

   You’re practically purring now, and he feels he is safe enough to touch you, so he does. His large hands wrap around your waist and pulls you down to sit across his thighs. He kisses you softly and when you surge into the heat between you, well, he knows what he’ll be doing for the rest of the afternoon.

↳ RE: multiple authors, same request?

Wait wait wait, I know what you’re thinking. What if I want several of my favourite authors to write an idea because I want to see each individual spin on my idea? That’s totally fine. Here are some examples of what I mean.

example a) "Having a relaxing night in with Merlin over chinese food." IS OKAY because it gives the author room to start, build and end the request with their own personal style and ideas. 

example b) “Having a relaxing night with Merlin over chinese food after a long day of flying half-way around the world to fight mildly aggressive kangaroos who have taken to stealing tourists’s cameras and stuffing them into their pockets never to be seen again. When you get home you must diffuse a tense stand off between your cats who have both stolen your favourite pair of slippers” asking for this kind of request from two or more authors IS NOT OKAY. 

Is it okay to be specific with some details like in example a or anything in between? Yes. The request above outlines the entire plot of the story you want, and I’d be happy to write it for you. But if you send the same plot to several authors, is there really much room for me to differ from the other people you send it to? No. 

Please do not send example b's to me when you’re going to send them to several others at the same time. 

Why am I implementing this rule? Because I feel as if we all work hard on our writing. We all have other things to do in our lives, and the time we set aside to write is precious. I feel that it’s a waste of our time for two or more people to spend hours writing the same specific scenario. 

I reserve the right to remove any extremely specific requests sent in batches to other writers. I may not be the fastest writer around, or able to spend as much time at the computer, but I work very hard on my writing. Please respect my time as an author and as a person.

EDIT: a good friend of mine wrote this one for you instead! I’ll delete this request from my to do list.

Could I maybe request a fic where eggsy and roxy and Merlin think Harry’s real lonely and sad bc he has no one to go home to so they end up spying on him at home and turns out he has a wife and he’s super domestic! And romantic and happy with her but They pretend not to know even tho they kinda mad they didn’t know her but then harry has to tell them because she is being held hostage in attempt to get to harry through her. Anyway that maybe wayyyy to specific but see what u can do maybe? Thx!
