Notes: I just painted my nails after a breakdown (I'm fine lol dw) over college and suddenly got the urge to paint their nails too. These hc's are incredibly short, I apologize <3

❥ Akaza

Akaza had walked in on you painting your nails a (color), and looked at his own pink nails

Turning to see him after you finished the first hand, you gave him a little smile

"Wanna join me, Aka?"

He'll happily sit with you, letting your hands hold his steady while you paint the same color on him

He loves matching with you, so this just makes him excited

Absolutely demolishes Douma if he makes any kind of comment about it

But the bastard just begs for more pain. He's got the fucking "Wow...your punch really turned me on!" energy going on (please tell me SOMEBODY gets that reference...)

Whenever you take the nail polish off, he's gonna wanna be there so he can take his off too. Then will probably ask if you're going to put on another color or not

❥ Kokushibo

His multiple eyes scare the shit out of me, but I'd rather them be freaky than not utilized at all

I still love him tho <3

Koku's nails aren't painted like some other demons, but he suppose he'll do one hand in black if it'll make you happy

He's silent and keeps a neutral expression as he sits beside you, allowing you to paint his right hand and you can paint your left, so that when you hold his hand, it seems like you're joined together

He just likes the subtle domesticity

"Well, what about my other hand?"

"Do whatever you want." Koku spoke slowly.

"And what about your other hand?"

"No."

He only wants one hand painted, slightly questioning if Muzan would disapprove of his nails being painted in the first place

But then he remembers Douma's, Akaza's and Gyutaro's nails are painted, and then he suddenly doesn't care that one of his hands are painted

Wont do anything but direct a cold, neutral look at someone if they make fun of his nails only being painted on one hand

They were done by his s/o, eat shit and die, peasant

❥ Douma

Is ecstatic

Immediately takes off his own blue nail polish to math whatever color you're putting on

Gives you kisses as you paint his nails, sometimes making you mess up and get the polish on his skin

"Not to worry, darling! I can always take it off my skin, you just keep painting!" Douma grins, continuing to kiss you

Parades your matching nails around like it's the greatest gift ever

Brags to Akaza about how he has "such an amazing s/o" and how Akaza doesn't

Of course he gets hit, but Douma then salivates for more negative attention from Akaza

Once the polish begins to chip away, he's going to sit you down, take off the polish from both of you and then paint your nails again himself, in a different color

"We should switch turns every time!" Douma exclaims

"Oh, maybe we could even mix and match depending on the upcoming holiday! How fun! Oh, this is the best idea you've had, darling~!"

❥ Gyutaro

Okay, Gyutaro probably needs a serious manicure (and this is coming from someone who never gets manicures, but at least has a nail filer)

Would also probably do his skin some good to have his nails filed down, cause then it can't...y'know...COME OFF

But I do think the gray color on his nails is the natural color they are now, but I also like to believe that sometimes he paints his nails black to feel better <3

When he sees you painting your nails, he immediately wants to join. Ume is probably not too far behind, so she'll probably join in before Gyutaro

If the color you're painting your nails with isn't black, then he'll paint his nails himself while watching you and Ume match your colors

If it is black, then he'll happily let you paint his nails for him (the teasing from his sister later on is so worth it, because you touched his unworthy hands!!!)

Gyu would also probably keep re-applying the nail polish whenever it got slightly chipped, believing you'd grow angry and upset at what he deemed as "decimation to your art"

Whenever he sees black nail polish he thinks of you now, so have fun with that lol

Probably keeps a shit ton of black nail polish on standby cause he keeps stealing yours

ADHJKHFKJ Okay, continuing from this

After you began dating, Seto let the rumors swim around for a few more weeks, wanting to enjoy what little secrecy he had left with you

When he did announce that you two were together, suddenly you became an "influential" interest on social media

Your parents/guardians were pretty impressed

Seto by now has learned how to ignore the public, and if he sees you struggling with it, he'll help you

Mainly by having you create new private accounts and turning notifications off on the now widely known ones

But when you go out in public, he almost always makes appearances with you

He wants you to be safe, and the media is saying that you're getting him out of his shell

Kaiba isn't very...attentive? Emotionally he's just not expressive

Sometimes he'll hold your hand or whatever, but never in public. In the beginning of the relationship, in private, getting him to be physically affectionate with you was like pulling teeth

Seto sucks as a romantic partner LMFAO

He's trying his best-

Seto eventually learns the importance of physical affection, and will try to give you some at every opportunity he can

He's still the CEO, he's a busy man

Makes sure you're safe at school or with Yugi, makes you check in with him every hour

If you don't respond or check in, he'll send Roland out to find you

Will probably make you turn on your location after a couple scares lol

Seto is possessive, but not exactly jealous

You agreed to be with him, so you belong to each other. Not anybody else

Always has you matching his outfits, no matter the color

Would probably try to persuade your parents into letting you move in with him after you two have been together for a year

He's pretty serious about you

Seto doesn't attach easily to people, so once he gets with you he pretty much thinks that you're it

That being said, if he's so busy to the point where he feels like it's tearing your relationship apart, he'll set aside time for you, even if he has to work a little bit while he spends time with you

When that happens, he'll probably have you come to the office with him, so you can still be in his presence

He also just likes being around you

Will take a 5-10 minute cuddle break every like, four or five hours

He's at Kaiba corp for a long time

His sleep schedule is shit btw, so if you text him randomly at like, 2:30 am, he'll hit you with "go to bed"

Seto is a great listener when you need to vent to someone. But he isn't that great with verbal or physical comfort

If you want comfort from him, he'll ask you to show him/tell him exactly what you want

After so many times of this, he'll remember what you want and will eventually be able to comfort you without asking what you want

That goes for almost every area in the relationship btw

After some time passes, he'll learn to be a good boyfriend for you

After you move in with him, he makes sure half of his room is empty so you can put your stuff in

"Seto, why is half of your room emtpy?"

"It's our room now. Put what you can in here, but then we have to leave for a dinner date by 8." Seto checked his watch.

"Well...can you help me?"

"Sure. It'll go faster that way." Seto nodded.

He gets so good at the boyfriend thing, that sometimes he'll come back home to give you flowers for no reason at all

He also likes putting flowers in your hair if you're on a picnic, with Mokuba, on vacation, or just to see you smile

He just gets even better when one day he comes home with a ring

❥ Kyojuro Rengoku

Who could NOT like the loud rooster man??

Ugh, I want him to hug me I am mentally ill

Kyojuro is rarely put off, so no matter how you go about it, he's going to be very soft about it

His smile, his warm gaze that welcomes you every time you come around...all of it made you so shy and blushy

Senjuro had figured out you'd liked his brother, and being the good lil' sprout he is, didn't tell his brother and instead helped you brainstorm how to tell Kyo

We stan Senjuro in this house

However, the two of you don't get the chance to act out any big plans or surprises, as Senjuro accidentally got you both into a situation you couldn't talk yourself out of

"Oh! Senjuro!" You smiled at the sight of the younger Rengoku.

"(Y/n)! Kyojuro is talking with father right now, so we have some time to discuss your next moves." The boy smiled.

Smiling at the boy, you both sat down and began to talk about ways to confess, then move into food, what you three will be having for lunch, to Kyojuro's recent mission, then back around to how to confess your feelings to Kyojuro.

"I just wish it was as simple as telling him..." (Y/n) sighed.

"Yeah...I'm sure he'd be fine if you told him, regardless of the outcome." Senjuro looked up at you.

"Yeah but I-"

"Tell who what?" Kyojuro came around the corner, usual smile on his face.

"Tell Kyo-" Senjuro started before clamping a hand over his mouth. "Uh- uh! Nothing!"

"Kyo? Me?" The man pointed to himself. "Tell me what?"

Senjuro shot an apologetic look to you. You, however, were riddled with nerves and anxiety. Kyojuro was smiling, though confused. Senjuro began to speak.

"(Y-Y/n), I'm sorry, I-"

"It's okay, Senjuro. I suppose it's time to tell him." You smiled at the younger Rengoku brother before patting him on the head. "I'll take it from here."

Senjuro hesitantly nodded, wishing you luck, before getting up to walk back inside. You patted the empty space next to you, signaling to Kyojuro. The older Rengoku brother sat next to you, continuing to give you a smile.

"Um...Kyojuro..." You could barely meet his eyes. "I...I...the thing I wanted to tell you was...um..."

"Yes?"

"I just...uh...I've...had some thoughts for a while...and some feelings f-for, um...you." You studdered.

"Oh...?" Kyojuro lost his smile, but his eyes still shone brightly, as if in hope. "Well, it seems that makes two of us!"

❥ Tengen Uzui

Tengen has obviously told his wives about you, and about wanting to add you into the marriage

Obviously, they befriend you too, and gauge how much you like Tengen

Tengen's smile makes you feel so fuzzy, his magenta eyes holding a certain warmth in them

His presence behind you makes you feel so, so safe...but you can't talk to him to save your life!

You always choke up and get so damn nervous, and stutter through almost every sentence

"Hello, (Y/n)!" Tengen waved.

You squeaked and tried to hide behind a tree before Makio grabbed your arm and dragged you out. "Say what you need to say, dammit!"

"Makio! Ow, you're hurting me!" You frowned.

Makio immediately let go. "I'm sorry. Are you alright?"

"What is going on?" Tengen had gotten closer.

"I'm trying to get (Y/n)-chan to tell you something!"

You then froze up, and Makio gave a little smirk before patting you on the back and saddling off to the side. If Suma and Hinatsuru weren't already there, she'd find them later and tell them.

"I- I- I um..." You stammered.

Tengen chuckled and placed his hands on your shoulders. "Take your time."

You felt so embarrassed. You didn't even plan to confess today - or any day! Why did this have to happen now?!

"I...I..."

"What is it you need to tell me?" Tengen smiled.

"I...I like you!" You blurted, face probably as red as a cherry.

Tengen was silent for a moment before chuckling and leaning down...

❥ Giyu Tomioka

Just being around Giyu made you nervous

He's a man of little words, and if he had the choice, he'd probably be a man of no words

So, being on missions with him was absolutely hell for your feelings, which you were sure were unrequited

But, as you kept watch while he slept, you couldn't help but finally admit it out loud to someone other than Mitsuri and Shinobu

Sighing out softly through your nose, you looked away from the moon and towards Giyu, who had his back turned to you, his side slowly rising up and down. He had laid down to sleep an hour ago, he should be out cold.

"...I don't know how I'm ever going to get the courage to tell you." You sit on a tree stump, your knees pulled up to your chin.

Giyu's breathing didn't change, and you crossed your arms over your knees, laying your cheek on your forearm as you continued to look at the water hashira. You looked back up at the sky, worried about seeming like a creep.

"...I'll probably never get the courage to tell you, so I guess it doesn't matter anyway." You whispered.

"...tell me what?" Giyu rasped, turning over to peer up at you in curiosity.

"G-Giyu! I thought you had fallen asleep...?"

"No. I couldn't fall asleep this whole time. Is there something I have to know? What happened?" The water hashira suddenly seemed very alarmed, yet kept his face stoic.

"I- nevermind. T-try to sleep."

"No. What's the matter? I won't be able to sleep unless you tell me." Giyu sat up.

"I..." You gulped. "...l-like you."

Giyu's eyes widened for a moment, then opened his mouth to say something...

Over time he's going to get more comfortable with you and the relationship

He's still going to be shy about making the first move, unless the moment just feels right for him

You'll have to be the first one to hold his hand though

He's also really into sweet petnames (sweetheart, honey, hun, dear, etc.) and will probably call you them more when you're not around his friends

Just cause Joey/Jonouchi and Tristan/Honda will tease him (Anzu is gonna smack them dw)

He loves playing games with you, even if you aren't good at them. He's a very patient boy, and wont get frustrated with you

He can be really cheesy and will probably put a pretty flower in your hair after seeing it in a movie

You're probably taller than him though (I'm 5'8" lol rip yugi) so putting the flower in your hair might have to be when you're sitting

Funny enough, I can see him kissing you first

I can see it happening mid-conversation, both of you talking about some subject, and you hadn't noticed how checked out he seemed

Yugi's always very attentive. Eyes on you, little smile, so you figured he was just listening. Until you turn to him with a "what do you think?" and he kisses you

Atem probably pushed him to do it

If you're taller than him, you can probably pick him up (I know I could) so if he falls asleep on you, you can carry him to bed
