Shawn x Angela are so underappreciated

Shawn and Angela were the lustier relationship of Boy Meets World, which I absolutely love. I like that there were clear contrasts between the two main couples, and I feel like they’re never considered as being a fully fledged relationship on their own, and not just the side couple to Corpanga. People give Corpanga way more credit than due for being the most loving relationship of the show, and that irritates me because really we see Shawn and Angela fight for each other more, compromise more, grow into better versions of themselves because of each other’s influence, kiss more lol. 

It bugs me that people justify their break-up by arguing that it’s not realistic for all high school couples to end up together, (which, fair enough) but then say that Shawngela had to be sacrificed for Corpanga to end up together. No they did not, both couples were uniquely written, and portrayed different kinds of love, it’s not like they were repetitive. Cory and Topanga were the cute bestfriends who grew up together and always had that spark, they were inevitable. While Shawn and Angela started out as attraction and became seriously involved later on, but they had a maturity that Corpanga lacked until the later seasons (and even that was only when they were forced by the plot, like when they got married or had to pay and fix up their own place without Cory’s parents help)>

While Cory would deal with his petty jealousy,

Shawn was confronted by Angela for his drinking issues.

Shawngela also had a pretty domestic relationship, they are the ones who had a great apartment, they let Corpanga stay with them when they were looking for their own one. They were basically married in their own way. Yet they are always put under Cory and Topanga’s shadow.

And I don’t even blame people for always comparing them because the show constantly does it too.

Girl you already do have that lusty, can’t keep your hands of each other thing. And I can’t remember a time other than that where Corpanga were that hot .

There was literally a whole episode where Shawn and Angela wanted to have sex with no strings attached, Shawn wanted her so badly he tried to keep his feelings at bay.

Like what is this then lol?

And they really reinforced that point home in Girl Meets World, the whole Shawn and Katy thing was embarrassing and only happened so Maya could have him as her father (which I liked, but damn). 

There were no valid reasons why Katy was a better match for Shawn, and the fact that it was written like she was is ridiculous. It wasn’t any more of a mature relationship than Shawngela, Katy and Shawn were just adults in their late 30′s. Nothing was shown to prove that he cared for her more (except for them getting married, which was OOC for Shawn at this point), his relationship with Maya was his connection to her. 

Basically breaking up Shawn and Angela was a stupid choice, jfc. As you can see I’m still bitter about it.

Relationship: Tina and Zeke

The purest relationship known to the town. Possibly the world. Their friendship had grown pretty sturdy when Zeke asked Tina to that school dance, and everything just flowed very naturally. They’re both to some extent used to being in the background, and they need a while to realize how… easy and nice, things are when they’re together. They’re both just happy spending time together, alone or with friends, and they have no problems accepting each others (many) quirks. They share a love for the outdoors, driving and camping, and tend to do that quite a lot, at least during summer.

Therefore, the primary understanding she has of herself is through the men around her. It is hard for me to understand how someone could fail to see the complexities of Cersei’s character. She has never been the sort of one-dimensional sociopath that Ramsay Bolton was, even her most horrible acts have been motivated by her desire to protect both her children and herself at all costs. Many of the shows fan-favorite characters have committed similarly murderous acts, yet they remain beloved because their motivations are understood as more sympathetic than Cersei’s. Even her twin brother Jaime, who is similar to her in almost every way, is seen as a much more redeemable and loved a character than she is. Cersei, of course, has understood these double standards her entire life and sees how things fall around her differently because of her gender. (x)
