Thinks about Hunter and Spearmaster and how fucked up their whole lives are.

Two beings made for a single purpose. The difference is, only Hunter is single-use.

Suns only starts to care for Spears after they’re in extreme danger. It was likely sooner than that, to be fair to them, and they just realized it after Pebbles hurt Spears. Still, Spears was originally just a tool, a means to an end.

Hunter is entirely different. Part of me doubts NSH cared at all. Or if he did, it wasn’t the same way Suns cares for Spears. Hunter is quite literally a disposable tool. Sig rushed their development so much, they never truly got to live. From the very beginning, to the very end, Hunter was meant to die so that Moon could live.

Worst part is, they don’t even know.

Hunter’s greatest wish, as shown by her ascension ending, is to be in NSH’s arms. Spearmaster gets to go home, and they’re clearly happy to be there. Neither of them registers that their entire development is completely, totally fucked up.

In a way, Hunter and Spears are just like iterators. Meant to do one thing until the day they die, or are too damaged to continue. Meaning Suns and Sig are just like the ancients, in that regard.

I just think it says a lot that the two of them (not Suns later) treat the lives they created with such blatant disregard, and don’t seem to realize that they are just like their creators.

I love this ship, they’re two scugs I consider the most quiet and I think they’d really enjoy just chilling together. The softest scug and the spikiest!

The only issue is because of the huge hight difference these two have in my designs for them, Saint’s gonna have to use their ascension powers to fly if they want to kiss Spearmaster lol
