Harry Styles Is A Very Good Example Of How A Lot Of You Don't Actually Think Its Okay For LGBT+ People

Harry Styles is a very good example of how a lot of you don't actually think its okay for LGBT+ people to not be neon-sign out and that men can't be feminine without absolutely having to be some form of queer.

You'll scream about how men can wear nail-polish without being gay and in the same breath you'll be pressuring a traumatised man to out himself because you think he shouldn't allowed to be feminine without confirming he's either gender-queer or sexuality-queer.

"But he's baiting people!"

He's literally just existing. He's living his life the way he wants to after he spent a decade being micro-controlled to the point that its permanently damaged his mental health, his relationship with himself and his identity and his relationship with the public as a famous person.

He doesn't owe you his sexuality. He just doesn't. Nobody, famous or otherwise, does. Not a single person in the world owes you that knowledge. Not your mother, not your dog, not your celebrity crush or the dude who serves your coffee.

Not a fucking soul.

He's just another example of how the queer community has come to make demands and shove tick-boxes at people and I physically can't express to you all how much of a backwards slide that is.

Edit: Since I received a very angry response to this, I should clarify; I mean this in context of regardless of Harry's identity. This post is not implying or stating he is queer or is not queer. The entire basis of this post is presenting the fact that the moment Harry Styles started expressing himself in a certain way, the general public and in large part the queer community immediately began accusing him of being queer and demanding a public confirmation. And that in many cases the arguments 'for' him being queer are based on how he expresses himself, which goes against the supposed support of freedom of expression and non-toxic masculinity that the queer community is supposed to have. To summarize: QC: Men can be feminine without being gay! Harry Styles: *presents himself effeminately without publicly confirming any sexuality or gender identity* QC: He's obviously gay! He's feminine! He should come out or stop dressing like that! Men in feminine clothing are baiting! He's probably trans!

Please also refer to the angry anon I received the other day for another example.

hi while idc abt all this antiship bs i do know that kodogender is knowingly dating an abuser and an actual rreal life pedophile who hurt multiple ppl v close to me. jsyk

But that wasn't the point of the call-out post, nor the information given. The post wasn't calling the user out for being a known pedophile or causing harm to people. In fact, there was actually no mention of that in the post or the tags. It was just another "ew icky proship" callout post which have been proven, time and time again, to be subject to extreme bias and encourage harassment.

lmao girl what is ur problem

You're the one that came into my inbox trying to smokescreen an issue. I'm not sure what you're offended about. I pointed out callout posts like that were pointless, you came back with an 'actually, XYZ!' message that had information omitted from the original post and vastly different to what you (assumed as OP) were calling the user out for.

The post was not calling out someone for being a pedophile. Plain and simple. You are welcome to DM me if you'd like to continue this back and forth.

Congratulations on outing yourself as a multi-faceted bigot overflowing with wilful ignorance and in possession of not a single atom of maturity or capability for understanding.

Trans people are upset that an anti-Semitic game created by a bigoted, racist TERF is being supported, the funds of which will in portion be given to anti-trans propaganda efforts. Every time you buy something HP related, JKR gets money. Money which she then openly brags about donating to campaigns and charities and political corporations who are anti-LGBT+ and whom are actively harmful to the LGBT+ community as a whole. That a single, non-relevant trans character is being included as a poor shield against the rightful claims of transphobia and bigotry.

Jewish people are upset that a heavily anti-Semitic game is being created based off the anti-Semitic lore of the original books and movies, despite Jewish people pointing out the first twice that its offensive and anti-Semitic. They've told us time and time again that the representations, historical adaptations and lore of things within the HP world are copy-pastes of anti-Semitic propaganda. That JKR specifically took components used in the Holocaust propaganda and put them in a game targeted at teens and young adults.

@chickpeathief made a detailed, wonderful post explaining the intricacies of the latter, and I highly recommend reading it before you open your mouth and declare the trans and/or Jewish people rightfully upset that the game is being upheld over blatant bigotry are "autistic trans crybabies who should die mad about it and shut up because they make the community of people happy to support a rampantly bigoted woman look bad."

If you honest to god look at people who are upset about JKR being repeatedly allowed to harm others just because she wrote some magical universe you're balls deep in, and you have the audacity to demean them, you really need to take a long look at yourself and take a step back from the internet and evaluate who you are as a person. This is appalling.

Woke and maybe trans and/or autistic crybabies are really spoiling the story of Hogwart's Legacy as if that's anything other than a thinly veiled childish and petty act. As if that's gonna deter people from playing the game lmao

"Grow up and read a different book!1!1!1! Play a different game!!1!1!1!"

How about you grow up and realize that you're making yourselves and the LGBT+ community look leagues worse every day.

Die mad about it.

The reaction to Harry winning a Grammy literally just proves that people hate him because he's Harry Styles. Its the whole 'resent what's popular' thing in real-time. Beyoncé still made history. She still won, just not that category, and she's still now a literal record-holding POC female artist and you're still not happy because a queer white boy who's ~mainstream~ won something.

Heckling him while he's on stage at an award's ceremony and making him feel guilty for the fact that he's a talented artist who rightfully won an award (because him being friends with someone in charge means literally nothing, Harry's lost out on awards before regardless) is honestly just childish and frankly embarrassing.

I'm not a fan of certain artists. I don't have a good opinion of others. But you don't see me trashing their hard work and their efforts and any well-earned rewards. Beyoncé literally did not "lose out" on anything. She wasn't snubbed from anything. She put her album up for consideration and lost. That's it. If she had been snubbed she wouldn't have attended or been up for anything in the first place.

hmmmm maybe i would jus like 2 look out for others and warn everyone 2 be careful and to avoid an actual dangerous predator. srry for not being clear on that

While I appreciate the attempted clarity; the original post wasn't about the user being a pedophile or known abuser. That had no relevance and wasn't physically mentioned at all. That wasn't what the OP (presumably, you, hello there) was trying to warn for or was accusing the user of.

You weren't warning people they should block a known, real-life pedophile and abuser. That is not what you said in your post.
