I’ve been compulsively collecting interesting objects in glass bottles, jars, and cases since I was a teenager. This was before I knew what a curiosity cabinet was. It’s turned into something that I consider to be an ongoing artwork. At some point, I will get the chance to display it. There are hundreds of objects in total. These are the newest additions. From left to right: a seedpod with a face that is clearly a tiny tree spirit, a razor blade I found inexplicably tied to a paperclip (my friend suggested it was for fishing for goblins), a pile of snake vertebrae I acquired at @paxtongate in Portland, a strand of yucca fiber rope I made myself by beating and scraping yucca with rocks, a tiny pile of dice for gnomes with gambling problems, a bone needle with yucca thread I created myself, and in front, a coyote leg bone also purchased at the Paxton Gate.
