I'm seeing so many palestinian fundraisers that are getting completely abandoned by people the moment they meet a short term goal or a goal they need to extend, if not a bit before. This can't keep happening, especially when one of the reason they need to extend their goal is because fundraising is taking so much time and the prices in Gaza are only going up. Making them wait even more will only exacerbate the problem.
These last few weeks, the complacency towards campaigns has been getting worse and worse and I don't know why. I hope everyone reading this realise palestinians have been constantly victims of bombings, shootings, malnutrition and diseases for close to A YEAR now. This should not ellicit apathy at the amount of suffering we're seeing from them everyday but the opposite! We should keep helping even more!
When the US and other western countries are more willing to give weapons to Israel than we are to donate $5 to a palestinian family, what does it say about us?

He had to extend his goal to 20k because of the increasingly high living expenses in Gaza and need to get to 15k by the end of September. Since reaching 10k he has been receiving very few donations.

in the past year Maryam has been taking care of her own young daughter and her orphaned nieces and nephews with her husband. Maryam’s brother was separated from them during an iof raid and to this day she does not know if he is still alive.
just a few weeks ago, Maryam’s husband was hit by stray shrapnel of an iof missile. one of the metal shards narrowly missed his spinal cord. he is at great danger for infection if the family does not get enough money for antibiotics which is extremely expensive because of its scarcity. please help.
the campaign has not budged from €1,515 all day. Maryam is taking care of all the kids and her bedbound husband all by herself, with no way to afford food. donations are urgently needed for antibiotics, food, and firewood so everyone can keep warm. please help. this family literally lost everything and has nothing to survive on
tumblr just deleted a huge swathe of palestinians who were on here trying to fundraise. if you've been helping any of these fundraisers please take this time to 1) check in with palestinians you're in contact with 2) help them submit support requests if needed 3) keep these campaigns circulating while the beneficiaries are being silenced. these campaigns are life or death, this isn't just social networking. do not let these fundraisers languish.

Hello, my name is Nabil. I am 50 years old, married, and responsible for 4 children. I am also responsible for my grandchildren, who are 4 children. After their mother and father were martyred in the war, and while we were escaping from the bombing in the Shuja'iya neighborhood, and the destruction of my house, we fled to Al-Shifa Hospital, and then to Rafah, to Khan Yunis, and now we are displaced from one place to another. There is no safe place. My daughter was studying in the field of nursing and dreamed of working and completing her life in this field, but the war destroyed everything and there is nothing that would motivate me to stay in Gaza. I am trying to save the future of my children and grandchildren and complete their lives, and I fear that I will spend my whole life looking at them with regret or bemoaning the loss of their lives, so I am creating this campaign to help me get out of Gaza to Egypt with the help of my daughter’s husband who lives in Europe. the southern appalachians are facing catastrophic damage after hurricane helene, what people have been calling a thousand-year storm. the region will forever be changed by this event. entire towns have been washed away, there are currently no open roads out of much of the region, and power and cell signal is scattered.

I had ambitions and dreams and I was living a happy life with my family in our simple home, but something like a nightmare happened. The war came and took all our dreams and destroyed our home. Our lives became very difficult and arduous. We were living in tents in the extreme heat. My father suffers from chronic diseases, heart disease, blood pressure, diabetes, and a defect in two cartilages in his back and a cartilage in his neck. My little brother suffers from visual acuity, which means very weak eyesight. Help me save my sick family, my father and brother. I ask for your support and participation
We were displaced from Gaza to Rafah at the beginning of the war, and we survived the genocide that occurred, We somewhat found some peace there as it was a safe area, but unfortunately, after Rafah was attacked, we left under bombing, destruction, and gunfire.
My family and I saw death and were displaced again to Nuseirat, then to Khan Yunis, then to Deir al-Balah. It is a somewhat safe area, but there is no safety in Deir al-Balah because of the repeated attacks and violent shelling. We lived an unforgettable experience of fear, death and genocide. Now I hope that everything will end and that I can save my family and little sisters from all this. They are not to blame for what is happening, so I created the link so that they can have a better life and escape this genocide that is chasing us and destroying our dreams, hopes, youth and childhood. 💔💔

I am Ola Ferwana from Palestine ,Gaza. I'm a mother of 3 kids Yamen, Qusai and Mira. My husband travelled to Egypt to get medicines before 2 days of the war 7 of October on Gaza and he was stuck in Egypt until this moment.
I faced very great challenges and responsibilities of my three children in the absence of my husband, as he had traveled and the crossing was closed and we could not see each other. The amount of suffering I was feeling cannot be described as still being in the north of Gaza.I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a plea for urgent assistance. I have left my home and have been displaced more than 8 times with my children. I am living in the war_torn region of Gaza, facing unimaginable challenges, with lack of water, food scarcity, and constant threats to their safety.

I have delivered a girl baby,Mira , through the war, She was 10 months old and my husband didn't see her until this moment.
Yaman was 7 years old, and his simplest dream was to complete the first grade at school, but his school was completely destroyed. He lost the most beautiful thing that he was happy with and enjoyed that he had reached this stage.
Qusai is 5 years old, and until this moment I do not have the courage to tell him that his kindergarten was also destroyed, the first place and refuge in which he was happy, but in this war he lost everything beautiful. He lost his father’s hug, which was his only refuge when he slept at night, telling him his daily story to fall asleep safety.
Mira, my daughter, who had never seen an hour or a moment devoid of fear, came into this world and was surprised by a war that destroyed many, many things. It destroyed her house and her room, which I was waiting for as I prepared and brought her all the beautiful clothes and colorful dresses she needed. She was surprised by the sound of missiles. She could not sleep because of it. My husband hopes to get a smile and a hug from her daughter Which he had been waiting for some time.
We lack of the basic human needs, no food no electricity no water. We were poisoned and infected because of the unhealthy water that we drink.
My three children and I had to be hospitalized. We suffered from liver dysfunction as a result of malnutrition, widespread diseases, and recurring infection.
During this period, I felt remorseful about how difficult it is for a mother to see her children sick and unable to treat them because she is also very sick.
The Rafah border crossing, which is the only way to escape from the war, is closed now.
I hope to provide us by giving support in order to cover the costs associated with ensuring our safe passage of Egypt through the borders. Please stand with me, we are now homeless, with absence of children needs like milk, diapers, with no food. Please help us by donation to stay a live and leave Gaza with my children. During this International Week of Deaf People and in Deaf Awareness Month, I would love to bring attention to Basem, a deaf journalist in Gaza who has been reporting on news in Palestine in sign language. He works to keep information accessible not only to Palestinians, but to the deaf community globally.
There isn’t a lot of discussion about how Israel’s attacks on Gaza affect the over 15,000 deaf Palestinians, but Basem has been continuing to raise awareness and highlight the challenges deaf people face during this genocide.

HEAL Palestine & PCRF statements on the killing of HEAL Palestine Gaza Program Manager and PCRF colleague Islam Hijazy
HEAL Palestine: It is with deep sadness that HEAL Palestine announces the killing of our Gaza Program Manager, Islam Hijazy, in Gaza today. She was the mother of two small children, and a humanitarian with the highest ethics and professionalism. Islam intentionally stayed in Gaza to help others. "My place is in Gaza serving my people," she said when she started her leadership role with HEAL. I hired Islam Hijazy over ten years ago when she was in college. When we started @heal.palestine in January, she applied to manage our Gaza Programs. We were thrilled to have her, and began to grow our organization with her leading operations on the ground in Gaza. Through her dedication and leadership, we established a field hospital, a mental health program, food kitchens, makeshift classrooms, and much more. Everyone who worked with Islam, loved and respected her. Today we lost Islam when she was shot and killed going to the Jordan Hospital to take gifts to a displaced friend from the north who just gave birth. Islam and I had a long talk this morning, not only about our work, but also about her family. She just enrolled her daughter in our new makeshift school, and hoped to find a tent that could protect her children from the coming winter weather. She wanted to go north to visit her husband, who she had not seen since last November. The entire HEAL Palestine family are broken hearted over her death and will honor her legacy through our mission. May God rest her soul. HEAL Palestine is more dedicated than ever to serving Gaza, in her honor.
PCRF: We are deeply saddened to mourn the tragic loss of our former colleague, Islam Hijazy, who was killed in Gaza yesterday. For over ten years with PCRF, Islam worked tirelessly to serve her community. A devoted mother of two, she had been displaced from her home in the North since November of last year. In her memory, we stand united in calling for an end to the violence and aggression against women and children in Gaza.
