It’s one of her fingers, an extension of her hand. With it, she feels the way he swallows — the way his pulse beats.

Rhythmically. Steadily. 

Yor increases the pressure, waiting for a reaction. None comes. 

Her husband doesn’t even blink, blue eyes trained on her and nothing but her. She could push harder, break through skin. Walk away with her hands covered in his blood.

She steps closer, and now his pulse jumps. Not at the fact that she could kill him without blinking.
