One thing I really like about Art of precious scars is how soft Koyou is with Dazai. Like canonically Koyou has shown open fondness for Dazai whenever she is reminiscing about him and Chuuya. And it's only when she feels Dazai is threatening Kyoka and taking her away by feeding her lies does she show any kind of genuine vitriol. She goes back to being vaguely fond of him soon after finding out that Kyoka is actually safer and happier there. I think people really genuinely forget that she is just 26. Skk are almost her baby brothers if anything.

First and foremost, Chuuya did not fall onto tears or have a mental breakdown at being told he'd make a good boss. (If the stage play had gone this route, I would have been extremely disappointed).

Mori made a joke about how he should make Chuuya the leader of the Port Mafia. Mori had made the joke due to the fact eight subordinates requested Chuuya as temporary leader during Mori's absence (the request was made through steel oracle slips, a request system used by the mafia).

No instead, Chuuya saw through the teasing remarks and told Mori flat out that he was requested for his strength and that Mori still wanted Dazai as his successor. (Mori confirms)

Mori then gives Chuuya five more steel oracle slips saying they're from the Flags and they too thought he would make a good future Port Mafia boss.

Chuuya 'hears' their voices and leaves quickly, ignoring Kouyou and Kaji when they ask if he's crying.

I think this is far more in character for Chuuya then what the fandom had been previously assuming.

Some could say your chaoticness has had some influence on Miles. At first he was hesitant to go all out on criminals and notorious villians, however once you came into the scene it was like he was your own reflection.

You two became so notorious for wreaking havoc on all of new york, eventually, Miles told you to call it quits since the media was having a field day.

Doesn't stop how notorious you've become amongst the media and how your fanbase is just as notorious.

Now, back at school its pretty much the same.

You, being the trouble and Miles just being... sorta there...

Its kinda ironic since you're known as the chaotic troublesome kid around others while in the eyes of Rio and Jeff you're the best kid there is to have their son around

I love the idea of Chuuya wearing Dazai's clothes, like he would absolutely drown in them. I also like the idea of him owning some of Dazai's clothes bc his own got torn up after using Arahabaki or something, so Dazai lent him some clothes, and Chuuya still has them. They're mostly just hidden somewhere but sometimes he gets them out or wears them bc he misses Dazai and they smell like him
