I Think That's The Point. The Reason Catra Is So Happy Is Because Of The Power She Holds There, And Catra
I think that's the point. The reason catra is so happy is because of the power she holds there, and catra uses power to manipulate and bully. She also gains power through these two actions. Mainly bc that's what she has seen power been used for. Ofc with her redemption arc she stops, and becomes more sassy than mean. But for the sake of catra in this scene, I will remind you that the lady started the fight with catra.

i don't understand why this is supposed to be so funny. this is one part of this episode that i did not like. catra is finally happy in the crimson waste, but she still can't go a day without bullying or abusing someone. it just feels mean-spirited.

As much as I love dad for one. It isn't realistic in canon, he was not at all a good father figure towards Shigaraki. We have no canon evidence of physical abuse but we for sure have evidence of neglect, emotional and mental abuse. Shigaraki was a severely traumatized child going through a really tough time. And by not getting shigaraki the help he needed, all for one neglected him emotionally for sure. And since he did this on purpose and infact encouraged Shigarakis self destructive and in fact harmful to others tendencies, that is emotional abuse. Plus there's the insane amount of brainwashing we see in shigaraki. He even admits himself in S1 that he doesn't actually care about right and wrong he just wanted to kill all might. Who btw was a scapegoat AFO used against shigaraki and was painted to be the cause of all the issues. That's a fr gaslighting stance, for shigarakis whole life after 5...therefore mental abuse. AFO is for sure a narcissistic abuser, although I love aus where he's not so horrible.

I just wanna point this out. Entraptas physical mask is so symbolic and important to her character. It symbolizes masking, a common autistic coping mechanism, and we literally see her lower her mask when uncomfortable or trying to hide her feelings. Her physical mask is also her metaphorical way of masking. It also is a nod to her special interest in mechanics as she wears mechanical and practical clothing.
Is it just me or does the 'um actually ☝️' response thing that's been going on just feel like embarrassment humor? It's like 'oh you know this fact and wanna talk about it? Well imma make fun of that and mock you so you don't want to do it'. Like it could just be how I'm seeing people ik personally do it, but it genuinely feels like trying to embarrass people out of sharing facts. Someone lmk if the people in my life are just using it wrong and I'm misinterpreting the trend.
I'm not making excuses for reblogging and sharing what's happening in gaza. people are being murdered and i won't stand silent. yes, i know social media is the place to escape reality for a lot of people (including myself), but these are human lives we're talking about. yes, it makes you sad. IT SHOULD. this whole thing shouldn't even be happening in the first place, but it is. it's happening and it's horrible and YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE, OKAY? you can donate. you can use your power, which is a social media account, to make visible the struggle of Palestine, Yemen, Lebanon and all those trying to stop this war.
look, no one's a bad person for trying to protect themselves from the hurt it causes to see such atrocities. just, try to make the minimal effort to make things better. please.
